Panto opens this week and somehow the wicked Queen has managed to tear three layers of net on her costume!! They're L shaped and about 20" long overall. I thought I could sew them - and I can - but because of the finess of the fabric it's really difficult to see the edges as you're sewing. It's taken me the best part of an hour to do 6"" Anybody got any useful hints/tips on quicker method? Would Wundaweb stick edges together? Sticky tape and sew through it? Help!!

Lay it on paper and tear off the paper once it is sewn? Have you paper a colour that the net will show up against? Even a page out of a magazine.
It'll be alright on the night (though you may not be . . . )

Tack it down to the paper - that'll keep it flat and together. while you sew. And use the sewing macine. the paper will tear better along the macine needle holes.
