Morning all from a damp, dark S E Essex.

Off to the gym first thing, then it will be ironing or gift wrapping before picking up The Imp and 8yr old from school.

Rest is a great healer Bellasnana 🌸

Good morning all from from a chilly North Leicestershire.

Ironing this morning for me. DH has a cold so won't be going to the gym. This afternoon I am helping on the final zoom session of the current Carer Learning session.

Good morning everyone from DD1s in Cambridge where it’s still dark but looks dry
Hope you feel better soon bellasnana, take it easy today
It’s our last day here today, DH and I are going into Cambridge centre this morning for a bit of Christmas shopping and then the train onto Gatwick for the flight home this evening. We’ve had a really enjoyable family weekend and I’ll be back again just before Christmas.
Rosesandlilac a difficult situation, I hope your DD gets in touch
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning everyone from mid Essex, where it’s still dark. Not sure what the weather is doing but it feels mild.
We visited DD2 yesterday for a cup of tea and birthday cake to celebrate littlest’s second birthday. She was very excited and had a lovely afternoon playing with her new toys (baby shark!) and her older cousins. It was good to see the wider family.
Thank you to those grans who posted happy birthday wishes to her.
The granddaughters are very excited about Christmas already, practising for their plays at school. They started decorating the Christmas tree here at 7 o’clock yesterday morning! More decorating of the house will take place this week, in between the usual after school activities.
I intend to write my Christmas cards this week and must get on with ordering presents once I have decided what to buy everyone.
Have the best day possible everyone. I hope those who are feeling under the weather feel better soon.

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset looks damp, not too cold though.

Achieved enough yesterday to placate my concern over the chaotic look of our guest bedroom. Heard from our Welsh friend, it looks as if a heart issue is underlying many of her distressing symptoms. We’ll go across later in the month, have lunch together and take her for a large supermarket shop.

If the weather is reasonable today we plan a trip to an NT property an hour away and then if energy allows going further to a huge garden centre with a wonderful Christmas display. It will of course be very busy, we’ll decide whether it’s a good idea as we go.

I’m sorry you’re so unwell bellasnana, time to rest and let your body mend. Oh dear mick, please do seek urgent medical advice on managing your condition. Taking it gently today sounds an excellent plan grandmattie. That’s hard roses flowers.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Morning, I think it’s dry out, a little cooler than yesterday which was very mild and we had a long, delicious, lunch out with very good friends.
Today voluntary phone, I’ll get some housework done (yawn) and quiz tonight.
Bellasnana you sound rough, take it easy and rest. gMattie you are so very kind and popular, I do hope your frantic days slow down soon.

Good morning all. It feels mild in Glasgow but unfortunately raining.

I do wish you would heed the advice so many posters are offering you Mick. Self medicating isn’t working. Please make an appointment to talk to a professional at the JR. I know it’s scary thought but these are the people who will find a solution to your health problems and are there to help you. Don’t ignore your symptoms, listen to your body. Take care.

All this talk of Christmas decorations has me itching to make a start to at least pull out and check my stash in the garage. Rechargeable batteries ready to go to test the fairy lights. 🎄

Oops, spend that huge amount wisely. 😉
Grandmabatty Be careful hanging your curtains. I have been warned by both DDs not to even think of climbing ladders. I know they mean well but it’s frustrating having to limit some activities now especially as I enjoy DIY tasks.
I have been doing a lot of downsizing in the garage too Karma being sensible and not sentimental is hard, I agree.

Hoping a good day is ahead for all and a better day is on the cards for those with worries and struggles to cope with.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Quite mild in South Yorkshire today. Mick please get some medical advice asap and take it easy today.
I finally managed to get some idea of what the family would like for Christmas yesterday and managed to order some stuff on line. At this time of year I miss being able to pop into John Lewis or Debenhams which have both closed here, and I flatly refuse to go to Meadowhall.
Today I am going to have to wait in for a delivery which should have come yesterday. I shall use the time to do some baking and clean the inside windows😩.
Bellasnana hope you feel better soon💐.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning everyone from south Glos, I haven’t looked outside yet so no idea what’s going on here.
A lovely pottering day yesterday, very relaxing and enjoyable so hoping for more of them 😊
Nothing planned for this week, I have zero enthusiasm for Christmas (not unusual for me), it will just be DH, the dog and me. DS and his family stay at home, they may be down at some point, and I have no idea what DD is doing because she’s not communicating with us at all (I’ve wracked my brain as to what I have said or done wrong but haven’t come up with anything).
So, a very quiet Christmas here 🙏

Bellasnana Mon 02-Dec-24 06:38:52

grandMattie and Grandmabatty thank you both. 🤗😘

Grandmabatty Mon 02-Dec-24 06:33:36

Bellasnana lots of rest and fluids

grandMattie Mon 02-Dec-24 06:27:44

My poor Bellasnana, I hope you feel better soon. Don’t feel guilty about doing nothing. You must need it badly as it’s uncharacteristic. It’syour best present to yourself and your family.

Bellasnana Mon 02-Dec-24 06:24:23

Good morning from Malta where a dry day is forecast with a high of 20°C.

Still feeling rotten, did nothing yesterday but lie on the sofa and today will be more of the same if I even leave my bed.

Have a good day everyone. ☀️

karmalady Mon 02-Dec-24 06:04:53

Good morning from s somerset, perhaps a dry day and white clouds in a blue sky, who knows?

We are switched on for christmas, the lights, the shops the vibrant celebration yesterday and today I have a celebration craft group gathering. What a lovely start to december

I was busy yesterday, the whole day was outdoors, doing more fixing on the plot, I have almost finished for winter. This morning I am building two small keter storage boxes, they will go to my shed on wednesday, ready to fill with stuff out of my garage

My aim right now is to make the garage what it used to be, rather a nice place to be in. I have to be slow and steady and it will happen but first I have to think about what more downsizing I can do in there and that is hard, the last ripping off of the plaster

Have a good day

Grandmabatty Mon 02-Dec-24 05:55:43

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 7° and damp. Mick you really should be talking to your doctor. Ash oh dear. Bad rehearsal makes a good performance, they say. Hopefully the usual chap will be back. GrandMattie definitely rest a bit before the fray
Yesterday I pottered most of the day and managed to achieve a fair amount. I waited in for the curtains to be delivered and they didn't come until quite late, so I didn't manage to visit mum. I've got most of the decorations out and just the tree to sort.
Today is early childcare day. School then playgroup then home for some curtain hanging. 🤞 Have a good day all

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 02-Dec-24 05:53:36

Good morning no idea about the weather but it was forecast to be colder today, hopefully dry though.

My phone just pinged to tell me that our Christmas box from our state pensions have arrived in our bank accounts £10 each! Still, better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. I will spend mine wisely….

Hope you can get to speak to someone at the JR Mick it’s a worry.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm if you can, virtual hugs for those who are unwell or stressed.

grandMattie Mon 02-Dec-24 05:50:01

Good morning from a dark Bristol. Not looked out, but it’s fairly mild. Again.
Uncharacteristically, I slept rather well last night, despite not having had a nap in the afternoon.
Low stocks drove me to the stove, making two batches of cranberry marmalade. It is very popular and selling like hot cakes. I now need to label the jars and take them to church.
Quiet day today, husbanding my energy levels for yet another frantic week. I don’t understand how it has all telescoped into those few weeks.
I hope this weeks brings good news, good health and contentment to you all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Ashcombe Mon 02-Dec-24 05:45:28

Good morning from a chilly Torbay, eight degrees feels like one, according to my App!

I do hope you will seek some advice about your health, Mick

A well attended Family Service got my Sunday off to a good start. Sadly, the Tech. Rehearsal, expected to be be tedious as they generally are, was disastrous! The guy who was covering for the absence of the usual Technician was not up to the job. After a frustrating hour, the Stage Manager took the decision to abandon it in favour of a normal rehearsal.

Wishing you all a good week. 🦩💐🎄🥰🦩
