Feast of Ethernan

According to North Ages on X, today is the feast of Ethernan, also known as Itarnan, apparently a 7th century Scottish martyr and saint, the base of his 'cultus' (new word for me!) being the Isle of May in the Firth of Forth.

What struck me about the post on X though was that Ethernan would be a good gransnetter name.

I think "Itar" is a boys name (Hindu?)

And Ether we know about... could it be the name of a spiritualist grandmother?

I have just looked this person up.
How interesting! Thank you Baggs
