Found out today, can't take it in
Well, that was a farce.........
Good morning everfrom Inverness where it’s a very cold and frosty start to the day, but sunshine forecast for later
Hope the physio goes well Ash and you’re a bit more mobile soon and the pain lessens
DH is home now after an enjoyable weekend away so we’re going out for a short walk by the river this morning and we’ll pop into one of the hotels nearby for a festive coffee.
Awww rosesandlilac, someone looks comfy!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning from Cambridgeshire where it looks dry and cold from my bedroom window.
No plans today except picking up the little ones from school later. Happy to take the day as it comes.
Hope everyone has a good day 🎄🤶
Good morning everyone from a dry Yorkshire. My son’s birthday today - 36 years old - where did that time go? He lives far away but hoping to speak to him later. Decluttering continues. Wardrobe delivery was a disaster! They couldn’t get it through the door (measurements on the website were wrong) so took it away. Customer Services will call me today - hope they will refund me! Glad to hear all your news. Take care all. X
Good morning from Shropshire.A dull and breezy day forecast.
Another quiet day at home. After three months of mum being ill and then moving her to the care home we are appreciating the days spent at home with no plans.Christmas cards were posted yesterday. We are getting there with the Christmas prep.
I hope the physio goes well Ash.You have every right to feel glum😢I hope the pain improves and the water engineers work is a success.
You’re brave doing painting again Grandmabatty.Keep away from the new curtains😳
Have the best day you can everyone🦩
Good morning from a chilly North Leicestershire.
Yesterday's joint Memory Cafe Christmas party was huge fun and all our attendees said they had a good time. It was very tiring.
Today it is the final choir session of the year though we do have a few performances left. It looks like we might have at least one poorly grandchild today.
Morning everyone, it’s still dark here in S E Essex.
I have hand washing to do this morning, I put it off until DH has little choice of sweaters and my favourite ones are also in the washing basket.
The Imp is having a sleepover here tonight as he is off to the zoo with his class tomorrow at 8 am. (One of the joys of living next door but one to the local school) It’s a penguin and reindeer experience, he is very excited.
Wishing you all a pleasant day 🤶🏻🎄
Good morning everyone from mid Essex, it’s still dark out and I’m nice and warm in bed, so have no idea what the weather is doing outside. I heard rain on the windows in the night, so it’s probably damp out.
karma you are working so hard on your allotment, no wonder you’re sleeping well. Your description of your Sunday morning working in the sun and out of the wind sounded delightful.
ash I hope the physiotherapists are able to help you negotiate your outside steps and hope that the pain isn’t too bad.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning from a dark W Kent. After a busy day yesterday a really bad nights sleep, today not so busy U3A this afternoon, DH not so keen as he thinks we will catch another cold.
Ash hope you make it up and down the steps
All the best
Good morning from south Glos where it’s damp, dark and quiet.
It was bitterly cold out when dog walking although the wind had dropped.
I happily pootled around doing bits and bobs, I always have something to do or keep me occupied.
Someone has sneaked upstairs and is making herself comfortable 🙄😍
Have a lovely day 🌹
Good morning from Durham. Cool and cloudy forecast, once it’s light.
Builders haven’t finished and ran out of ‘materials’ yesterday.
I’m off to see DGS1’s Nativity at 9am - the drive is a nightmare with roadworks, so I’m allowing 90 minutes for the 25 mile trip. I’ll collect DD2’s laundry after the performance.
Later, I’m meeting a lovely friend who has some worrying health problems and undergoes a myriad of tests this Sunday. We are worried.
Best wishes to all. X
Thank you for the reminder Jaxjacky☺️. I was in Tesco yesterday morning with dgs2 buying the boys their magazines. His favourite assistant had brought him chocolate lollipops because he'll be going to nursery next week. How sweet was that!
Morning;g, 6 feels like -1 in S Hants but dry.
Odd day yesterday on the voluntary phone, miscellaneous calls, four lifts sorted out. Quiz numbers were down last night, people are busy this time of year, my daughter joined us which helped.
Visiting my brother and his wife for lunch at theirs later, after I’ve bought the Radio Times Grandmabatty 🎄
Good luck with your scan Oops.
gMattie you’re a powerhouse, you need a day of rest!
🦩🦩
Good morning from a dark and chilly Black Country, hopefully will be dry today.
Busy day yesterday. Meet up with DGD2, then onto Wolverhampton for a peruse around the shops, then meet up with DS for lunch and exchange of family cards. DS and SIL went to Manchester at the weekend. They needed to charge their electric car before the journey home. So that was a 3 hour wait whilst it charged, plus £16 in car park charges whilst it did so. No wonder some people are really not keen on EV's
Today I am driving over to Mums, collect a prescription for her for and ear spray. Then take her food shopping.
Good luck with your bakeathon gM I feel exhausted just reading about all your activities.
Wishing you all the best day possible.
Good morning from a cold and windy but dry Torbay
I’m glad it’s not raining as this morning I’m expecting some water engineers to come and dig up the frontage of the block of flats where I live because I have had a leak to my domestic supply since July! Southwest Water have been investigating this but have procrastinated and not always been entirely truthful with me. The management company for the property says it’s my responsibility because it’s not a communal water pipe.
Yesterday I was visited by two physiotherapists who seemed pleased with my progress. I was able to do the exercises recommended but I am in more pain again today. They are due to visit again this morning to try to help me use the five outside steps.
Sorry if I’m sounding rather glum! I understand that the opening performance of The Wind in the Willows went well last night. I would never have managed it.
Have a good day, everyone! 🦩🥰🎄💐🦩
Good morning from Malta where the weather is dry and mild.
Nail and hair appointments today otherwise nothing planned.
The boys visited yesterday afternoon. Littlest was a real whinger so DD3 took him home and left his slightly older brother with me. He’s such a dear little boy and I think he enjoyed his one on one time colouring and building towers with his bricks. He cried when his daddy came to pick him up as he wanted to stay.
Good luck with the MRI Oops. Could you get someone to take a look at your toe while you are there?
Have a good day all. ☀️
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a still dark, but dry, South Yorkshire. I managed to finish dressing my Christmas tree yesterday; GS put the lights on for me on Sunday. It is in the “It’ll do” category this year. It will be in the “can’t be bothered” category next year, I think! I ordered the last of GS’s Christmas gifts and am having a shopping day with DD on
Friday, weather permitting, to sort out what remains (I hope).
A volunteer session at school this afternoon. Hopefully it will stay dry so that I can walk there and back.
Have the best day you can folks.
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently -2° and dry. No obvious frost though. Karma I'm not surprised you are sleeping well! GrandMattie your baking all sounds wonderful.
Yesterday dgs2 and I had a quiet afternoon after playgroup. We played kerplunk, he watched some tv and he fed me pretend food. I made a fish pie for dinner and enjoyed half of it.
Today will be more of the same, I expect, although painting is on the cards for his morning activity. Tonight I'll have the rest of the fish pie and an early night. I was disturbed by pains last night so might take a painkiller tonight. Have a good day all.
Good morning from s somerset, same weather as yesterday, dull and cool
I did manual work on the plot yesterday morning, 4 hours, then nothing much at home for the rest of the day. Little robin came to see me again, I will get some robin food for him. Clearing up someone else's mess is so much physically harder than starting with virgin field.
Today two or three layers of clothing on me and muck fork in hand, lots of walking and lifting. I want to finish my asparagus bed today plus cover a path or two and maybe prepare ground for some bee-friendly shrubs. I am sleeping like a log lately
Have a good day
Good morning from Bristol. I hope the polar wind has died down today. It was very cold yesterday.
FGT Iwas thrilled for you about your visit to Christie’s yesterday. 🤞🤞🤞 MD, I hope you’re feeling “less worse” today and had a better night.
I had the weirdest dream involving a Ford Anglia and me threatening to slash the tyres!!!
After the quick Tesco shop - it normally involves fetching my neighbour’s friend 10 mins away, then doing the trip to Tesco in the opposite direction, coffee then shopping. It’s exhausting as it takes over two hours instead of 3/4 without her!
In the afternoon, we had a tremendously fun WI meeting with “fun and games”, though I prefer my old table-worth “handbag bingo” from Kent rather than individuals.
Today, I have a LOT of baking. I promised a friend I’d make 60 biscuits for primary school children to decorate - mostly refugee kids. Then, as it’s our last meeting this year, I’m making “mince pie tarts” for the FAB cafe tomorrow. As also serving coffee on Saturday, I might as well make something for that. Christmas cake is also on the cards…. I shall be pooped by the end!
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Good morning Mike and all who follow. Time for a change of diet maybe? Get your recipe books out Mike!
MRI this morning and MzOops goes home, not sure about the weather as I’m too warm in bed to go and look.
Have a good day everyone, I’ll catch up later this afternoon.
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark ground looks wet maybe overnight frost but its dry here in brackley .
