Morning from foggy freezing South Lanarkshire. Connel DD here staying overnight before leaving at 7.30 for a meeting in Glasgow. She said goodbye last night because she plans to leave without disturbing me but needless to say I’ve been awake since just after five so I don’t miss her going!

Since I’ll be up anyway I might get the cards finished, it’s an
ill wind etc. I did take my ‘abroad’ ones to post on Friday and Spain and USA went off but the post office couldn’t accept the ones for Canada because there’s been a postal strike there for several weeks and they’re not accepting any more mail at the moment!

Haven’t had time to read at all this week so I’ll just wish everyone well especially those with extra worries just now.

GM you are amazing, I would have stopped at a dozen biscuits had an hours break and maybe then made a cake, I really don’t know how you manage to do it, the sheer quantities!

Well done.

Good morning all.
Not much to report today, I had the MRI yesterday so I should get the results in a few days, no waiting, we were early but they called me in straight away. Even with ear plugs and headphones, I had forgotten how much that machine bangs away.
I found a pair of shoes that I hadn’t worn for years as they were too big, but they allowed my toe in its big bandage in, I still limped but hey ho.
We are out to Christmas lunch with MrOops mate today, I shall have to wear the shoes again, they are an odd colour but better than having to wear my pink crocs!
When we get back I’ll have to give the place a clean as I’m putting the decs up tomorrow, due to various reasons my cleaning routine has slipped somewhat

I hope all the unwell amongst us get some respite and that the rest of us have a good day.

Good morning from a breezy Torbay

Thank you so much for all the kind comments yesterday. Last Friday when I was discharged from hospital, I was bundled home hurriedly but I was not given any advice about my condition. I am hoping that a report from the hospital will soon appear on my Patient Access records . My GP would like me to have a CT scan of the offending hip if I’m still in pain. Notes from 2017 when the original replacement was performed suggest that there was a risk of dislocation in future because the cup was a shallow implant. This information has never been shared with me. These are notes which have been accessed by my GP that date too far back to appear on any record that I can view.

There’s a happier ending to the water leak saga as the contractors were able to locate and repair it within an hour and a half of their arrival! I am glad I selected a small family business. I’ve been told it’s likely that my bill will be for a lot less than was originally quoted.

I do not plan on rejoining the cast as I’ve been recommended to take things steadily this week. To be honest I am not very disappointed because I have struggled throughout rehearsals. Our theatre is quite awkward to access backstage for anyone with mobility issues.

I was pleased to be able to manage the steps yesterday when I went out with the physio support workers and we had a short walk through the park opposite my flat.

Happy hump day, everyone! 🦩💐🎄🥰🦩

Good morning from Bristol. The icy wind has died down and we are promised a dry but overcast day.
I had a very successful day, baking, but was very tired by the end. I made 7 dozen biscuits, two mincemeat tarts, a boiled fruit cake for Christmas, and a dozen mini gingerbread houses which now need assembling and decorating .
I saw no one.
Today will be busy. Morning prayers, then the FAB cafe, for which I made the tarts. In the afternoon, I have my book group in the library in the other village/town. This month’s book was teen science fiction, really weird and didn’t end - read th3 next book, which annoyed me.
Have a good day; look after yourselves. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning all from a dry, dark and quiet north Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 where I’m about to enjoy my chamberpot of Yorkshire Gold and reflect on my lovely quiet last few days at home.

A busy day for us with 👂wax removal for Mr PG and a shingles jab (I have to wait until I’m 70 next year) then a run out to see GladIIator (I’ll be watching Denzel actually…🤭) and fish supper.

Christmas cards have been sorted but all your lovely 🎄 haven’t persuaded me to get mine out yet - PG Towers needs a good bottoming first and I’m waiting on some inspiration and inclination on that score🤣

That chocolate mint ice cream sounds delish LLFL, I have all our pillow chocolates left from the cruise and wonder if simply melting them and adding to whipped up cream would do the trick?

So many with health worries, your own and loved ones, hope you find some respite - such a busy time of year x
