anyone heard from BigLouis

This is concerning. I didn’t really interact much with BigLouis but her views were always…bracing.

I miss her and hope all is well.

It's getting worrying now. I do hope she is ok.

She posted regularly on a games thread until the 21st November, but not since.

I’m much more of a reader than a poster but I do miss biglouis, really hope that she’s ok.

I have cirrhosis, too.
It's a kind of "how long is a piece of string illness".

She was quite clear that she had a terminal and life limiting illness. the impression she gave was that she did not have long to live, but I hope this break is for a short sharp episode from which she may make a partial recovery.

Yes, it's a possibility that Big Louis has been suspended or even banned. I hope she hasn't been either of the above. She's a character who gives a bit of a different slant on a topic.

Why would she be banned over the shower thread? People fell into two camps there, but it was as simple as that - some would say yes, and others no. No 'right' and 'wrong' about it, and it didn't get personal.

I understand that HQ does a lot behind the scenes before someone is banned, but also that the feeling that people can be 'disappeared' with no explanation is disconcerting for the rest of the community. The rules on here are very vague, and we often don't know if someone has been banned - often it's only if someone notices and asks where they are that we notice. That means that some people seem to be missed more than others, which must be hard for the seemingly unmourned to see.

Given the demographic on GN, and the fact that there is a small pool of regular posters compared to bigger sites means that we get to 'know' one another (for better or for worse ), and are maybe more worried when people disappear than elsewhere. As with people's shrinking Christmas card lists, it's easy to think the worst when we don't see someone for a while - are they on holiday, unwell, or what? It's not always immediately obvious when someone returns under another name, although we can usually tell after a while .

I hope biglouis is ok, and that others who are not posting for whatever reason are too, and that everyone has a peaceful and happy Christmas.

Hang on so BL was banned? She is a favourite here, I’ve been unwell my self so reading rather than posting, but I hope they reinstate her soon, especially if she is terminally ill. Big Louis, if you are reading I wish you and your nephew a very happy Christmas 🎄.

I don’t know if she has been banned or suspended, nobody does, but I think a suspension is more probable, though even that may not be true.
She could just be out of the loop, busy with other things.
Is worrying of course in light of her terminal illness, but she could have years to live yet, is not always imminent.

Doodledog I wasn't suggesting BL was banned over the shower thread. I was merely agreeing that suspension or banning was a possibility..... as suggested by another poster. None of us know if posters' are reported, so it's a possibility. As I said in the post of mine to which you refer, I hope BL has not been banned or suspended. I find her an interesting poster.

A very forthright poster who is much missed on these threads(She has been mentioned on several threads in a positive way, )was banned and really has no idea why and can get no actual reason from the moderators so it does happen…🤨
