jax what a beautiful star! Looks very complicated to make.
Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s dark outside, but a brighter afternoon is promised, it would be good to see the sun again after a gloomy week.
I didn’t join the 3 o’clock club this morning, but I’m often awake then. Had a good sleep last night, after a busy morning with DD2 and littlest. She was shopping, so we went to Hobbycraft (I sat in the car for that one) the garden centre, where I got out of the car and had a good walk around. I bought a few things, then I needed cash, so went to the village post office & queued! Then went back to my house to collect the post, finally back to DD1’s - exhausted and aching! Getting n and out of her car is not easy for me, but it’s good to be able to do it, even if I suffer afterwards!
gm please take it easy today, fainting is horrible and you’ve had a really busy time recently.
mizuna good that your back is better today, enjoy whatever market is in the marquee!
ash I hope your pain continues to ease.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good Morning all from North Leicestershire. It is still dark and quite chilly.
I also visited the 3am club. I am suffering from sinusitis and have a thumping headache.
My choir is singing in the village library this morning but I doubt I'll be joining them.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning from damp, dark South Lanarkshire.
Glad you had a better day Ash. Take it easy gM, hope you feel better as the day goes on.
Beautiful star Jaxjacky
Thank you for the birthday wishes. Harri, I was wondering how you knew then remembered about the power of Facebook
.
A visit to the local Indian restaurant may be on the cards, or perhaps a takeaway, I’ll see how the day goes.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Good morning everyone from the Essex coast, it's still dark so I'm not sure what the weather is doing.
Sorry to hear about you fainting GM, please rest today and take it easy, let others take the strain.
A visit today to DH'S eldest daughter to deliver Christmas presents and cards. We are off to Madeira on Monday for the Christmas period.
Lots of packing to do today and tomorrow.
My 15 year old DGD is being referred to Birmingham Children's Hospital as her Asthma is not responding to her current medication. She has been very unwell for weeks and missed a lot of school. This is her GCSE year so not the best news.
There is talk of Biologics being tried. She is being referred urgently so hopefully not too long to wait.
I am very worried about her and I really hope she gets the treatment she needs.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and maybe sees a bit of sun 🌞 xx
Good morning all from a very dark and cold day here on the east coast of Fife.
I used to be a fainter until my gp prescribed dijoxen . Since then no more faints. 👏👏 I’m having a visit today from my dd It’s going to be fun. I’ll have to phone my local shop to ask for a few groceries he’s so kind in delivering for me. rolls, , eggs fresh orange juice for breakfast yum yum.
Have a good day my friends take care of each other
Morning, 4, possibly a glimpse of ☀️ later. gMattie I’m glad you’re heeding your body shouting for rest, take care.
There is something so delightful coming down in the morning to the smell of Christmas tree and the joyful lights.
Imogen was making stars/snowlakes last night to decorate their hallway, more patience than me!
Best wishes for the last day Ashcombe will you be able to be there?
Good news you’re feeling better Mizuna
A quiet day expected, must water my bay in the greenhouse.
Happy Birthday baubles 🥳🎂🥂

MD? GM!
Morning Mick, morning All. A brighter day forecast for our corner of Somerset after yesterdays drizzle.
Still on catch up. We both had a very enjoyable if tiring time. All worth it. A visit from our teenagers en route to a meal with friends was a welcome surprise. They called to collect Christmas bits and also I suspect to check they had a set of functioning grandparents, other older folk in their lives are very poorly indeed.
We’ll venture out after some much needed dust removal for a stretch and to get some final bits in advance of a family day tomorrow. It’s feast or famine here with people. I’m enjoying the feast.
Delighted to report not being one of the 3am club. Rest when you can today club members. Goodness grandmattie please put your well-being first for a day or two. If nothing else this shows the need for an easily contactable deputy for your various responsibilities. Time to think of yourself. Good nerve news mizuna. You sound stronger ash. Good to hear.
With thoughts to everyone with personal mountains to climb. Hope Saturday is kind to us all.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
MD - I’m a fainter. Have a day at home. A quiet day!
Elder son, his partner and our granddaughter are coming for the weekend. We are having a pre-Christmas dinner. The tree is up and presents wrapped. Next weekend they are off to France for a two week road trip and skiing.
Have I mentioned my new food processor? Last Sunday we returned my birthday food processor from last year for a refund. We bought a new one. It was despatched on Monday and I had an email from the courier on Tuesday to say they had received it. A message from them on Wednesday saying there was a delay. Then nothing. I contacted the courier yesterday and ‘spoke’ to an online assistant (bot?) and we also emailed the shop to let them know the situation. Annoyingly, this particular courier has a dreadful reputation in the area. They deliver to the wrong house and in some cases do not deliver at all!
Have a good, stress-free day!
Good morning from a balmy, drizzly Cornwall where I feel I'm missing out because I didn't wake up at 3am. 😂
My trapped nerve released itself after a day of enforced rest (and a completed padded and hand stitched throw). Yesterday the newest Amazon driver on the block - aka my son - was sent to seven farms in west Penwith (the extreme west of our county). There will have been fun involved which I'll hear about dreckly.
I noticed last night that a giant marquee was going up in the town centre a few seconds from my flat. Presumably a Christmas market so will have a nose round that today.
gM... rest!!!!
Good morning from Malta where we are promised a sunny day with a high of 23°C!
grandMattie I’m so sorry about your fainting episode. It’s quite frightening when you’re on your own. Please take it easy today, you are doing too much and a day with your feet up is called for I think.💐
I’m waiting to hear from DD3 as we are supposed to be taking the boys to a Christmas thing this morning but littlest has been poorly with croup again so it depends on how he is today. He’s on steroids again poor little chap but in good spirits. He FaceTimed me yesterday to tell me he’s ‘a bit sick’.
Glad you are feeling a bit better Ash, it’s no fun being in pain.
Happy birthday baubles 🥳
Wishing you all a good day.☀️
Thank you. I knew I was going to faint so lay on the floor in anticipation. I also took the precaution of putting a towel under my head. All most unpleasant.
Yes, I shall do as little as possible today, thank you.
Good morning all. Dark and damp here in Yorkshire. Sorry you’ve not had much sleep Greyduster hope you don’t feel too tired today. Glad you’re feeling a bit better Ashcombe. Sounds as though WiW has been a success. Must be good to know you contributed to that even though you couldn’t be involved right at the end. Fainting is scary grandMattie especially in the night. Please don’t overdo it, you do so much for others hope you can put your feet up later. I’m in the ‘woke up at 3am club’ too but that’s usual for me. Have as good a day as you can. Hugs to those in pain, poorly or struggling. Take care.
Good morning from s somerset, I am looking forward to the sunshine today
Goodness GM, time to listen to your body, your mind is driving you, a faint is not good, yes could be postural hypotension but that is a warning to take things more slowly
Yesterday was busy, all plot related and I donned over jacket and over trousers to get some planting done during the wet afternoon. I want to be finished with the heavy work this weekend.
The sun is going to call me and my plan today is to build my last big, raised bed which will not take long. I need to make a list, it always seems a shame to have to come back for forgotten tools and saying that I need to get my big girl undies on to replace a shed window today, an unknown objective.
Have a good day
Good morning from south Glos, I’m hoping for sunshine today but the forecast doesn’t mention it 🙄
Are you okay grandMattie? I hope you didn’t injure yourself fainting. Perhaps a quiet day resting might be better for you 🤗
I spent yesterday doing housework, washing etc then actually sat and read a book in the afternoon, in front of the wood burner.
Today I’ll take the dog out early, we’ll go for a walk around the bridle path and across the fields I think.
I intended to start another embroidery yesterday but I’m dithering as to which one - I have a lot to choose from, largely given to me or bought very cheaply in charity shops or on eBay.
I’m really pleased with my crochet blanket 😊
Have a good day everyone 🌹
Oh GrandMattie just read your post…are you sure you should be doing all that after your little episode? Take care of yourself and let someone else take the strain 💐
Good morning Mick from a dry and dark north 🏴 coast where I’m about to enjoy my Yorkshire Gold before venturing out to deliver Christmas cards to neighbours and trot for a newspaper.
That homemade paella 🥘 sounds just the job Glammagran - a friend in Spain made the best one I ever tasted, with the lovely crunchy caught bits at the bottom of the pan…😋. Where is it you live?😉🤪
Marvellous blanket Roses and love the idea of keeping warm as you crochet, alas, not a skill I mastered and probably too late now…(can’t even finish my knitting within a reasonable timeframe 🫣)
Some more kitchen sessions for me this weekend (well I did miss all of November…) stuffing and sauces to be frozen ready for the big day and I’ll have caught up, 🤞
Hope all with lurgies are on the mend and 💐 for those with more meddlesome challenges x
Good morning Mick and all to follow.
Dry here in the NE and three degrees.
Enjoyed my lunch out with my friend, restaurant was very quiet, guess it is a busy time of the year.
GD2 is finished school now until the new year and family are off to collect GD1 from university, that term flew over.
Been awake since 4.50 am, thought someone was banging on the door, think it must have been car doors in the street.
Happy Birthday Baubles 🎂
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from a dark Bristol.
I fainted in the bathroom when I got up in the night. It has left me feeling pretty ropey, unfortunately.
I have my church clean this morning - I shall just sweep rather than do the whole thing. It’s barely worth it with another 4-5 school events to come.
I’m also serving coffee. Again, I shall do the bare minimum then retire pleading feeling unwell - that is if I go at all. I’ll see how I am at 9 o’clock, before leaving.
Long morning yesterday with Spanish, then the walk home. I took a bus halfway as I wanted to pick up my prescription but did the rest on foot.
I had a quiet afternoon, planning the same today.
I trust everyone will have a pleasant weekend. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Greyduster: I, too, have been awake since three! How weird!
Good morning from a chilly Torbay with sunshine forecast for this morning.
I’m hoping to venture out just to the local pharmacy to collect a prescription and to post Christmas cards. Yesterday was my best day so far, in terms of pain lessening which was a great relief. A friend from church called to tell me how much she had enjoyed The Wind in the Willows which was heartening. The last two shows are today.
Wishing everyone an enjoyable weekend whatever you are up to. May those who are suffering in any way experience the joy that relief can bring.
🦩🎅🏼🎄🎁🦩
Good morning Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where we are expecting to see -wait for it - sunshine! I have been awake since three! I had a lovely day out shopping with DD yesterday but I was tired out when I came home. As we had had lunch out I didn’t have to cook. Today will be a quiet one with indoor jobs to do, and a parcel to wait in for. Might manage a walk later if I can get my legs to agree!
Have the best day you can folks,
Good Morning Everyone,
