Turkey and a Yorkshire? It’s a big fat NO from me.

I don't serve buns or yorkshire with turkey dinner. There's bread in the stuffing, so that is enough.

Not sure it’s a rule, but just a tradition.
If we are going to stick with tradition, then in Yorkshire a large Yorkshire pudding was made and cut into pieces and served with gravy before the main meal.

I adore Yorkshire Puddings. They go when anything.

Who made this 'rule' that we're only supposed to eat them with beef?!

M&S used to do a ready meal - maybe still do - a giant Yorkshire pudding with roast beef, veg and gravy inside.

On the very occasional day that we have ready meals, it’s def. my favourite!

Depends on who is choosing. Our GC love Yorkshire puddings with anything, any time. Quite easy to make, what's not to like?

yorkshires are a must, have them with anything. Gunty, am afraid peas are on our menu as its the only veg my sister will eat but they have to be processed.

YES! Any kind of roast deserves homemade Yorkshires

Out with a friend for Christmas lunch last week it came with a Yorkshire pudding. No complaints here as I can’t recall a home cooked Christmas dinner without one. I have no guilt - I rarely eat potatoes (I know, horror) so don’t feel over fed. The family would mutiny and refuse to wash up without a Yorkie on their plate. Red cabbage and cauliflower cheese never appear, it’s good to be different .

Plate sized, absolutely! 😃

We got my sister's for Christmas dinner. She just puts a bowl of Yorkshires on the table for anyone who wants them. I don't like Yorkshire pudding personally. .

We don't have a traditional Christmas dinner but, imo, a well made Yorkshire pudding goes with most things. Toby Inn Carveries even include it in their breakfast and, weird as it sounds, it works a treat either with the bacon, eggs etc. or with jam, marmalade or treacle instead of toast.

Clearly not official, as no-one official would say "comprise of". Dinner comprises the following, or Dinner consists of the following, or Dinner is composed of the following.

Well, if we're being pedantic about SPAG argymargy, whyever is actually 2 separate words; not one!

Been out for a Christmas lunch. It was turkey, roast potatoes, cranberry sauce, Yorkshire pudding, sprouts, carrots and string beans. No bread sauce unfortunately and no red cabbage fortunately.

There's a pub nearby and the staff give you a plate with the biggest Yorkshire pudding that I've ever seen even if you aren't having beef or can't eat them.
And here's the reason -it fills up the plate so you don't take too much meat and vegetables .

And standing orders decree that any know it all comments about SPAG are strictly to be confined to Pedants Corner.
Anywhere else is Bad Form.

Mixed reaction in our family our son won’t serve them on Christmas day. I will serve them on Boxing Day as our daughter insists.

Yorkshire's with any roast here . Always home made , I can't stand the frozen one's .
