Losing it!!

Lots of laughs here, and lets laugh at it rather than worry about it.

Over the years I’ve put a packet of loose tea in the teapot instead of the caddy. Put the electric kettle on the gas and lit the gas so the kettle melted and going to lunch with my husband looked down halfway through the meal and found I had odd shoes on and worse still one shoe had a heel and the other was a flat. I dread to think what I will do next.

I have just boiled the turkey giblets to produce a stock as a base for gravy. I boiled with chopped garlic and wanted to seive the stock and dispose of the garlic . I got my drive and instead of placing a bowl beneath it I have poured the stock into the seive and straight down the sink !!!! 😡 Reboiling the giblets now ( a treat for my cat) in the hope it will do the job.

Yes, I've done that Shelflife but years ago. I try to remember to use a jug now 😀

Got my seive!!

One day rushing to go out I got dressed went downstairs and opened the front door and stepped out and realised I'd put my dressing gown instead of my coat.

Ha ha. Not pleasant :-)

Killing myself laughing here! I can definitely guess the rest!

This morning about 1am I'd tipped a tin of Ambrosia Rice Pudding in a dish then opened the washing machine door and was about to put it in, then realized the washing machine is NOT the microwave!

I am a sausage and one of extreme silliness!

I have never lived down putting my car keys in the freezer (I had been holding them in my hand ready to go out when I remembered I needed to get something out of the freezer)

I then turned the house upside down looking for them. finally found a spare key but had to go out without a house key to get back in.

DS found them that evening when he went to the freezer.

This was after writing 2 Christmas cards to the same person!

We've just received our second card this year from a friend of long-standing, my husband's best man 47 years ago 🥰

I ordered a cup of coffee last week and asked for white milk! I wanted Americano with cold milk.

My friend with a learning disability had been picked up, along with his pal, by his parents.

It was really thick snow, the roads were barely passable, and the only way his pal could get out of the car was by sliding over to my friend's side.

He climbed out, followed by his pal, and he walked her to her door.

When he came back, his parents had forgotten him and driven all the way home before they noticed!

My mum once put a hot water bottle outside on the doorstep and took an empty milk bottle upstairs to bed.

At work I always used to dial telephone numbers on the computer keyboard & wonder why it didn't connect. Also I put my reading glasses on & find they won't because I'm already wearing some. & several times have sprayed my nasal in my ears instead of my nose

I put a pack of paper napkins into the fridge last week.

Sorry, when I drove past my daughter’s house, with her two children (who I had just picked up from school) in the back seat.

Just put it down to the excitement of Christmas, tanith. Anyway you are definitely not alone in doing daft things. Recently I tried to pay for my shopping with my Woodland Trust membership card and then went to collect a food order from a shop only to be told I had ordered it for the following day. This was after writing 2 Christmas cards to the same person!
