*flappergirl• of course but only after it’s been chilledšŸ„‚

Allira I like your thinking.. šŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

ok, I just wanted a solution other than their poor customer service. I agree with Allira really, they should send another without a tag. I have had issues with M&S in the past too and it's put me off ordering online with them

do you have a strong magnet?

No Jane, DD went on You Tube which showed a strong magnet could extract the pin but I wouldn’t do this even if I had one

In fact, the store should offer another bottle of champagne too, (minus tag!) to compensate them for the trouble they've had to go to.

I assume from that you were going to drink it, so why bother getting a neighbour to ā€˜pick you up’.?

confused

Because she can't open the bottle as it has a security tag on it which can only be removed by a special device in store. It should have been removed at the point of sale but it wasn't. The OP is disabled and can't get to the store to rectify the matter without assistance. The neighbour has offered that assistance. The OP will then return with the duly opened bottle and drink it. I assume she might even offer her helpful neighbour a glass too!

Because Bea65 needs the store to take the security tag off the bottle before she can open it.
The store should have removed it.

It's happened to me twice, Bea65, not champagne but on items of clothing (paid for, I had the receipts) at different times in different countries.

Yes it’s a magnet type tag to prevent theft and … stop people who wish to drinkšŸ˜€

NotAGran55 Sat 28-Dec-24 10:25:11

The security tag prevents the bottle being opened.

Urgh!! Opened gift box and Security Tag still on bottle of Delacourt…tried online customer service for assistance but same line from the bots😠 return to store.. explained was disabled & currently housebound and DD who purchased it is now back in NYC…
Sent screenshot of where purchased etc. online bot ended chat😓 so thought I’ll ring customer services for polite chat… after ages getting a human on the line, same answer … return it to any store … feel very frustrated at the response as my daughter has Sparks card and she has spent Ā£100s at/with M&S. over the years…why should I be inconvenienced about M&S product to be returned ??
Ok .. neighbour going to pick me up and be my wingwoman
smile hope I like these bubbles šŸ¤ž
So in less than a week.. have returned a ā€˜uncooked pie’ and now this … please don’t anyone say It comes in 3sšŸ™…šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
