Going on from the thread of people we DON'T like, how about people we LIKE?

I like -

Bob Mortimer - down to Earth, funny and honest
(the late) Paul O'Grady - an animal lover
(the late) Sean Lock - witty and funny
Ricky Gervais - funny, an animal lover, not pretentious
Keanu Reeves - despite much sadness in his life, he seems to be compassionate and grounded

There was an article in the Sunday Times Style magazine a few weeks back, about crushes and how they are now openly admitted to and quite acceptable. Whatever your age
I would admit to James Crabtree , the model.

I like Andi Oliver, Si King and the late Dave Myers. Tony Blackburn, Lee Mack, Jo Brand, Miriam Margolyes, Rick Stein, Grace Dent, Paul Ainsworth, Claudia Winkleman, Brenda Blethyn, just for starters.

My top favourite is Hugh Pym, the BBC News health editor. He has such a lovely warm expression. Also he is very tall, always an advantage as far as I’m concerned, though that isn’t the reason I like him.

I like Jane Hill, the BBC newsreader, and there is another news reader, on ITV, called Charlene White, (I think that’s right) who I also like.

Then there’s David Attenborough, Monty Don and others I can’t think of at the moment. Worryingly, it’s much easier to think of people I don’t like.

I would start with the gorgeous Peter Egan who does so much work for animals. I've never met him, but I've spoken to him on line a couple of times and my husband knew his wife many years ago.

Ricky Gervaise has given a huge amount to animal charities.

Alice Roberts is clever and such a talented writer and artist.

I've become a big fan of Jim Moir since I discovered what a serious artist he is. I've learned a lot watching him.

And there's always Keanu Reeves.
