Good morning from s somerset, very cold today, likely snow

Yesterday, I was very busy in the kitchen, dressed in old comfortable clothes and bra-less. Lots of chopping, lots of pots to wash and things in and out of the oven. Bombsite kitchen. I still had to tidy downstairs and clean the cloakroom. I had an early lunch. My visitor arriving today and I wanted to concentrate all my attention on her pre-arranged company for lunch

Then a knock on the door yesterday, me opening it with t towel in hand, feeling disheveled. It was her arghh, she had the day wrong. I did manage to get lunch together for her but had to take stuff out of the oven first. Not a clean mug handy, the dishwasher was full and waiting to go on

I went for a walk after she left but was too shattered to enjoy it and started nodding off at 7, counting the hours to bedtime.

Today is rest and recovery and I may do some inside exercise, even if just up and down stairs a few times

Have a good day

Good morning from a rainy part of La Sarthe where we arrived safely on Monday following a rough crossing but an easy drive. The ship was lightly loaded so all vehicles (trucks, campers and cars) were on one deck which made for a quick escape at Ouistreham.

I’m sorry I couldn’t post yesterday as the internet is rather flaky so I’m on reliant on 4G. Thank you for the good wishes and expressions of concern for our safe arrival.

No snow or ice here, thankfully. I hope all our friends in Scotland, the North, the Midlands and Wales are coping. My DD2 and children were snowed in on what should have been the first day of term on Monday!

Happy hump day, everyone! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩
