All the same, although I agree that her gender views were awful, they affronted people of all sexualities. I realise that (if the gossip is true) she was well-placed in the Scottish Parliament to be upfront about it all; but I don't believe that people should be coerced into making their private lives public to suit others. That applies whether I like their politics or not.

If I was a nicer person I would feel sympathy, but I dont. And actually it was nicola sturgeon amongst others who knocked the 'be kind' out of me.
Oh and being called names because of my unkindness, well we have probably heard all the insults before, many from NS herself. Misogynist, hateful, homophobic were a few of the words she threw at feminists.

I've very little time for NS but l think she, as anyone, deserves some personal privacy. Many, many people's marriages could be said to be shams for one reason or another. She deserves some privacy, the screeching of the vixens is exceedingly unpleasant.

When a marriage ends, it's sad for both parties (and those affected by the outward rippling effect). To have this as a public matter - well she has my sympathy. I have a lot of time for NS.

It's not really our business to pass judgement on any ones else's marriage or their divorce reasons. The law only requires the marriage to have broken down irretrievably to petition for divorce, which appears to be the case here.

Really? The digs and insinuations about her sexuality? How is that compatible with anger at hypocrisy?

I can understand people being angry at her politics, and at any wrongdoing that either or both of them have been involved in. But who NS is living with (and staying in a property owned by someone is not the same as living with them) and veiled references to the 'French' connection are unnecessary, surely? If NS had been vociferous against the gay cause it may have been hypocritical, but AFAIK she wasn't.

I hold no candle for NS because of her support of the GRA and her readiness to sacrifice the rights of woman and girls to the trans agenda; but I really can't see what her private life has to do with anyone other than those concerned. Haven't we moved past that sort of prurience yet?

We don't know the reasons for the divorce, it's true , and they might be completely unconnected to Murrell's embezzlement charges.
If it is Murrell's alleged crimes that have provoked the divorce , I agree he has let her down badly.
Her reputation for honesty and integrity have been compromised by his alleged crimes and it looks like guilt by association, with , presumably (and hopefully) goings-on that she knew nothing about.

If it hasn't, I can't help wondering if Nicola has found out what the report will say and is determined to distance herself permanently from her DH.
