I can't wear stark white - it drains my complexion - but what I call winter white, which is the colour of oyster shells, suits me really well. It's hard to find any clothes that shade though. Also beige and sludgy colours don't suit me. I wear a lot of denim blue, turquoise, purple and jade green.

Solid beige and orange although I do have clothes in patterned fabrics that might feature a bit of either........do hope that makes sense smile

I had my colours done too and, from the many suggested, I wear mostly colours in the pink/purple range. Those are colours that I feel comfortable with - in the house too.

I never wear greens, browns or yellows.

Yellow! Never ever, it makes me look jaundiced.
I never wore red until I went grey but now wear it a lot.
Muddy colours suited me when young, but now I tend to wear “clean” colours which suits my aged complexion and grey hair better.

I love colour and will entertain most colours but perhaps peach is a colour I’d avoid, not that I dislike it, is just a bit wishy washy as a colour, but could tolerate it if mixed with other colours.

Parts of Scotland still have sectarian bias, so people avoid wearing green when the Orange march is going past

That seems so weird! Sort of two centuries ago.

My DG wore brown all the time because she'd been told it suited her when she was young. When she was old and grey that was no longer the case.

My DM told me this and as she and her DMiL disliked eachother, I can't be sure it's true. 😄

I find myself attracted to the same colours. Deep red, dark blue, bluey greens.
Preferably not all together.
Not black, or white, ¹not yellow although I have a favourite mustard scarf.
Not pink. I like it on others.
Not pastels .

I have several grey nightdresses and a dark brown dress. I must be turning into grandma 😂🤣😅

Black, olive green. I am really a spring person.

But generally I love colour - it lifts my mood. So yesterday I had on a bright cerise cardigan, under which I wore a green blouse with flowered pattern which included cerise in it.

Peach
Apricot
Blue/Pink/Lilac in the "clear" solid shades you often find in fleeces.
Beige
Salmon

I will wear most of these colours if they just happen to be part of a pattern.

All green shades make me look ill. I tend to avoid yellow too. I did my colours online and cool shades suit me best, blues, purple pink, grey.

I don't wear green. Mum was superstitious about it and never let me wear it, so when I left school I bought beautiful dark green best coat, but while walking along the seafront one day a large wave swept over me and the coat was ruined.
So I don't wear green 😁

Salmon pink drains me.

Had my colours done too, years ago. Treated by mum after my divorce. Never wear brown, mustard, cream or olive green. They make me look ill. It’s a shame because I’d love to wear cream.

Yellow. Makes my skin look sallow.

Purple or lilac, which I just don’t like, or brown, which I find brings my mood down. I’m also not a fan of pastel colours on me, too insipid, although they can look lovely on others.

Peach or yellow. Had my colours ‘done’ years ago and shown they did nothing for me. Just as well, as they’re colours I don’t have in the house or garden either.

Grey, yellow or green.

I never wear olive green, mustard, dark brown or any sludgy colours. They all make me look ill.

I have far more clothes than anyone could ever need, I am sorting through my clothes prior to a house move.

I have nothing red, purple or yellow.

Are there colours you avoid and why?
