Sunshine and rain, sunshine and rain, and tomorrow's forecast is all rain. But I'm still alive and the deadly mixture of insane world leaders hasn't yet press the Annihilate button. So I guess our account book is still in the black for now.

The days are lengthening, more noticeable because of the dark, badly lit path I have to take regularly around 5pm - so feel a tad happier even though the local forecast here for the next two weeks is greyness and hardly a glimmer of sun.
But No torrential rain ✔️ No violent winds ✔️ No slippy pavements ✔️ best we can ask for - in mid Jan.

Still light at 16.30 now in Central Scotland It makes such a difference,!

I have not had a light off all day, and it is 2C with fog outside. I feel like retiring to bed until at least April. This is London and not the Scottish borders.

Grey cold and miserable here in Surrey. It seems days since I saw a hint of blue sky. It’s hard to remember that the sun is shining up there somewhere. I’ve noticed the evenings drawing out though, in spite of the gloom. Very welcome!

And still is 🥺 Lunchtime and it feels like 5 pm. Colder than it was last week too. Never mind, Spring is on the way. Hopefully.

Blue skies and sunshine here in Devon. Very light winds and settled seas, which bodes well for my upcoming special cruise to France.

It’s been a dull dreary day here in our area near the south coast. We had thick mist to start and damp with grey skies all day. Hoping for better tomorrow.

We have been out admiring the moon. It’s enormous and orange!

Damp and wet in London with a light drizzle at times. Not great.

It was damp, grey and misty here (Dorset) until this afternoon, then the sun showed itself for a while. Around 4 pm it was getting murky again and when I closed the curtains around 4.30 it was very foggy. Couldn't see across the fields opposite us.
Been lovely the previous two days though.

Our solar lights are working for the first time in months!

My Dad always said 1st of February - light at 5 o’clock!

Something I always look forward to

I hung the washing out after I got back from the Seniors Club at 12 ish , got it in dry by 4 pm
It’s been lovely out , loads of bulbs are poking out , hoping for a lovely spring now

It would have been nice here if it hadn’t been so windy. It has gone from -13 to +13 in two days. I am in North Scotland.

Indeed Beechnut. The bitter cold weather has abated and the skies are blue.
I have just pulled the curtains ( 4.30) .

We have been over to York today. Halfway home to East Yorkshire we hit very thick fog which was a shock. Still foggy now we are home.

Mild here too and the snow is melting away very nicely.

Bright here too in Shropshire. Just wish it would dry up a bit in the garden.
Was out tidying the front border earlier and everywhere is so soggy and damp.
Lots of bulbs showing which is great.
Now at 4.30pm still a light sky with the sun just going down - really lifts the spirits.
