Yes, on newer cars, too bright for other drivers, imo

I now avoid driving at night if possible.
My glasses have anti glare coating, but it has little effect.

I think this is just a newspaper poll.

*newspaper type poll. I can see it's "Yahoo.

This has been a problem for a long time and seems to be getting worse and nothing appears to be being done about it.

It is a well know fact that night vision deteriorates as you get older but this should not mean that old people feel obliged to stop driving after dark for fear of being dazzled. I am sure younger people find this a problem too.

I did the survey.

They park in front of shops with idle engines and their lights meg-bright for ages and ages.

I find it intimidating and frightening.

I have not done the survey as it is an excuse for Yahoo to get my contact details and bombard me with messages! But I agree that headlights are too bright and are dangerous.

I have just paid £££’s for new lenses with a special coating which the Optician said would make night driving better.

I am better driving DH’s 4 X 4 as it is higher than my little low sporty job.

The position of lights on four wheeled drive type vehicles are dazzling to smaller, lower height cars. However, I heard the other day that the AA and RAC are investigating this. Hope so.

DH’s car will be 18 years old this summer, it’s the new cars with the LED lights that are the problem.

We have a small car and find that the lights from the numerous suv type cars blinding. It limits me but I no longer drive at night.

I won’t be doing the survey. Who knows what Yahoo will do with the data they get from this. The issue is already being investigated.

Ditto.

Some car lights are far too bright, as if they haven't dipped although I was driving in an urban area yesterday evening.

DH has Yahoo as his email provider.
He asked me to log in on my PC to send an email for him and since then it seems to have taken over my PC as browser.
Every time I log on I have to delete it and it just keeps boomeranging back and taking over.

I dread to think what it would be like, without this coating.

Allira Wed 22-Jan-25 15:04:00

Mine have anti glare coating too.

silverlining48 Wed 22-Jan-25 19:52:45
