A small thing, but sadly impossible thing that would make life better

This is lighthearted btw!

Having dieted for ages I should like someone to invent a chocolate bar which tastes like chocolate but which has zero calories!

Jennynana shall we do a swap?

SusieWong - a self cleaning bathroom is within your grasp. I remember reading an article some years ago about a chap who trained giant slugs from the garden to live in his bathroom and eat all the dirt at night. I believe his wife divorced him a short time later...

The ability to get to sleep easily and sleep through the night. It would be transformative!

I really want someone to invent something when when I'm in a library or book shop looking at the book spines and my head and neck and back are in weird positions.

I want something when I can stand up straight to look at the spines without twisting myself in to a painful curly wurly!

An ironing machine

I gave up ironing long ago - I find that it's not something I miss. Very little really needs an iron!

A cat that cleaned himself properly before jumping onto the bed - there are muddy pawprints on the duvet...

An electrified shopping trolley would make life easier. Using a trolley saves carrying heavy bags, but it is still a struggle pulling the thing up all the hills where I live. An attached platform with an electric motor would be a Godsend.

Sunshine every day and warmth (not too hot please) 🌞🌞

A husband who would actually wear his hearing aids.

Alison333 Thu 23-Jan-25 14:12:07

A face cream that actually removed lines and wrinkles!

HS62 Thu 23-Jan-25 14:35:52

A brain that can work things out without having to Google it. X

Can I be "greedy" and have 3 wishes:

- Every aspect of my body at optimum level and nothing wrong with either its health or its looks. So 30 years old and none of the "womens issues" I had back then would about do that.

- My house magically transformed into exactly as required (ie the missing 3rd bedroom, garage, utility room, 2nd bathroom, etc) and being self-cleaning

- Able to eat/drink/booze whatever I wanted without putting on weight/getting health problems from any chemicals they'd added to it/etc.

I was about to say something similar. Ironing is unnecessary and a terrible waste of time.

Sago

A husband who listens.

If only!

Flakesdayout Thu 23-Jan-25 15:47:50

Can I have two? The strength and energy I had when I was younger. The mind is willing but the body is not able.

Not to always want chocolate after I have eaten a sensible healthy diet conscious meal.

Lovemylife

A no-fly zone over my house and garden that only applies to seagulls and pigeons would be good.

I need it to apply to crows and magpies as well!

Rain all night every night and sunshine all day every day.

No anxieties and able to do everything I did at 35!

Amen to that.
And a self-cleaning house !!

Gwyllt Thu 23-Jan-25 16:38:57

A fairy to put away things after my husband

gulligranny Thu 23-Jan-25 16:42:17

Gwyllt, yes I'd like one of those too, preferably one that would also turn out lights and close doors and drawers!

Lol sounds like a plan ,not sure you would enjoy having a lively 3 year old jumping around at 6am 🀣 and changing nappies again lol x

theworriedwell Thu 23-Jan-25 20:42:01

Don't worry I have GC younger than 3 so still doing nappy changes. At least a 3 year old flinging themself on you is joyous, spending over an hour trying to get a teenager out of bed is anything but joyous.

I guess both start to be a bit annoying after a time.
