I agree with the people on here who say Trump is deranged and dangerous. One thing that amuses me is his obsession with the size of crowds at his rallys. According to him he has the biggest in the history of the world. In fact if you believe him no one anywhere at any time has accomplished what he has. The biggest thing about him is his massive ego.

True…but being honest I liked him on The Apprentice…very business savvy and did speak common sense and when “you’re fired” he gave an honest explanation ….
Think he’s like my marmite…can’t get enough of him on TV to see/hear what comes out of his mouth and his facial expressions …but would I like to be living in the US ? Just hope and pray my nearest and dearest on both the east and west coast will be ok🙏

Stop the myth right now that he will get things done . He only achieved 1/3 of his agenda the first time around . He only built a tiny fraction of the wall and no , Mexico didn’t pay for it . Already people on the border are protesting 10,000 troops lining the border because they don’t want to live in a police state . Trump is all bluster but only a small fraction of what he signs are legal and many are utter nonsense . The Gulf of America ? This guy is a grifter who is only in it to line his own pockets and his family’s . Stay tuned .

Trump make me laugh? Never. Make me cry? Much more likely with rage and frustration. He’s a very dangerous man. The simple rule of Cause and Effect is totally lost on him.

So may choices. In his first administration he said he thought Finland was in Canada. He also said Xi Xinping of China developed Covid for the sole reason to make him lose the election. He said this after he had won the election and before Covid. Then on the campaign trail last year he talks about Arnold Palmer's penis for nearly 15 minutes. I was watching this with a friend who almost fell off the settee laughing. And then there's the weave.

Nothing Trump says makes me laugh. I just shake my head, wondering how over 50 % of America's adult population can believe in the man to the extent of voting for him.

Even when he comes out with really outrageous comments I don't find it funny I just despair that he's the President of the US and a possible danger to the world.

While he was speaking about being saved from that bullet - anyone could see that the ear that was supposedly hit has absolutely no visible damage. I imagine if he had been hit his ear and the side of his head would have chunks missing. Think that screen did the saving

We thought it was funny with him saying they were going to get rid of all Aliens, in the nest sentence they were conquering Mars.

In answer as to why Kamala Harris not winning it's partly due to the fact she's a woman and with Biden thinking he could run but at last minute didn't it didn't give the Democrats long enough to put up other strong candidates.

For Galaxy -- he won because his opponent was a WOMAN, not widely known in USA politics (even though Vice Pres) and a chunk of voters there have macho disease, and struggle to consider voting for a woman, especially one who unfortunately has a slightly screechy voice.

Had Michelle Obama been persuaded to run instead of poor doddery old Joe, her history of Barack's stint as PoTUS might well have overcome that -- the Chump camp were afraid of her attraction to voters as she is a gifted speaker, powerful delivery, and would have wiped the floor with him in debates.

IMO one reason he won was his stance against the sort of wokery that refuses to admit the fact of biological sex.
And I dare say quite a lot of such voters would have been women.

My younger sister has lived in the the US for decades and is pretty much a ‘lefty’ but can’t bring herself to vote Democrat any more - she says they’re way too ‘liberal-elite’ and completely out of touch with far too many ordinary Americans.

Of course she loathes Trump - she votes for a smaller left wing party, not that it makes any difference, since she lives in a state that very reliably votes Democrat anyway.

And because they saw many of their voters as stupid and told them so. But keep doing it = it has proved such a successful strategy.

Anyone who wants a laugh at Chump, the racist, sexist, fraud, liar and braggart who got elected in November, should dig back on U-Tube to find his appearance on the Letterman show, late 2015 I think (though he was on it more than once).

He was already floating the idea of running for Pres, as a Republican, having a few years before been in the Dems camp, and pally with the Obamas. One of his early campaign ideas was his "lurrrrve" for Amurrrcan workers.

He got totally exposed on the show, looked like he was chewing glass, with his Exec clothing range shown to be made in those hotbeds of US employment, Taiwan & Bangladesh, bumptious balloon & hypocrite meets expert comedy pin.

As for his voters, a shrewd guy called H L Mencken had a great quote, pre-war, said "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public".

I agree, not only a woman, but a black women. A very strong candidate was needed in place of Biden.

I can’t understand why America can’t produce a younger presidential candidate. Trump isn’t much younger than Biden!
As for laughing out loud, his hair and false tan are enough for me! What a narcissist!

Maybe consider that there are still large pockets of people across the states who are extremely racist and the church belts who tend to be happy to return to the Victorian, particularly for women.

In addition several surveys have shown that the average educational attainment of many Trump supporters is less than average.

Finally, as some right-wingers have done here, lots of deflection, blaming migrants for issues which are not related to them in any way.
