Is it wrong to have those feelings? I'm not sure.

In Germany a mother shot and killed her child's murderer in court. I can understand why she did that.

The injuries these children suffered were horrendous. One little girl was stabbed over 100 times. Her parents couldn't recognise her. The witnesses to this have seen sights they'll never forget.

This is a crime like no other.

Quite pointless to dwell on why this happened. What went wrong. Who should have dealt with him. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. But it offers no healing to the wounded of our lovely little town

Hindsight can prevent such atrocities happening again....very important to look at what went wrong so that lessons can be learnt to save other future families from similar fates

I have a hunch this evil thing won’t live very long, especially if ,as reported, he is neither eating or drinking. He shouldn’t be in a normal jail, not fair on the other inmates. Broadmoor sounds more like it.

I don't think it's pointless at all. Because "what went wrong" is the very thing that allowed this dangerous psychopath the freedom to murder those young girls.

Should we just ignore the failings of the various agencies involved with this youth?

Encouraging prisoners to be violent towards each other really doesn't help anyone - neither the families who lost their little girls, nor the staff in prisons who have to deal with this kind of institutional mayhem and lawlessness on a daily basis

If assaulting someone is against the law because it's wrong, then it's still wrong even if you think the person deserves it.

A more constructive response is for a public inquiry to examine why the hell the various agencies dealing with this youth missed all the opportunities to deal with his psychopathic obsessive violent streak, and get him off the streets before he could actually, as he did, kill.

I hate what he has done, I don't care he was sentenced to 52 years, I had those feelings Whingey, but thinking this is wrong.

They'll know who he is.

I'm guessing he'll be in solitary for the rest of his life.

I'm guessing the offenders family will have to change their name.
It is a distinctive name.
They have already moved house.

Don't know about him in prison though. Wonder if he would be allowed to change his name to be more anonymous.
