Good Morning from a grey, wet Durham. Last night was very cold and the heating is on again.

I’m meeting a friend for coffee this morning, then dropping my spare car key off at the garage, where my car is booked in on Monday. I’ll leave the car on their forecourt overnight Sunday, so they can start on it first thing. I’ve 3 bags of clothes to drop off at the Hospice Shop on the way there.

I’m fancying a trip into Newcastle later - just window shopping (I hate actual shopping!) but, occasionally, I like the atmosphere and busyness of the City - if that makes sense.

Best wishes to all. X

Morning everybody, it’s grey and damp outside.

My cleaning fairies came yesterday so there was little for me to do. I took the opportunity to order the 9yr olds birthday gift along with browsing the new seasons fashions in my favourite stores.

Off to the gym this morning, with a cup of tea and catch up with my gym pals after. School pick up, and catch up with The Imp & 9yr old.

Chinese takeaway for dinner this evening.

Hope Dollie is on the mend

Good morning from sunny s somerset

I spent a long time on the allotment yesterday and met a lovely woman, who came to see me. An uplifting day, albeit tiring as I spent five hours working. I may go again today, I am enjoying the sun and seeing good progress

Housework is being neglected but so be it, it is not a priority on a lovely day

Have a good day

Good morning everyone from mid Essex, where it’s just getting light, it’s wet and cold. I may venture out for a walk when the rain clears as I’m trying to increase my exercise generally.
luluaugust I hope your operation goes well.
I finished clearing the chest of drawers in the hall yesterday and threw out some more out of date paperwork and a fluffy hat which did absolutely nothing for me! I had a walk round the recreation ground too, then sorted out a large pile of magazines and newspapers. If I’m dressed in time I’ll put some out for recycling before the bin men come this morning, but sometimes they’re early!
I hope that all those with anxieties and health issues find some improvement today. Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning all. 3deg. It’s bitterly cold as was yesterday, today is calm and cloudy.

Last night’s outing with DD1 was so good. The film was superb with Timothée Chalomet portraying Bob Dylan to a T. I think DD has been converted to a Dylan fan, now she has actually listened to the lyrics of a few of the countless songs he has written. She dropped me off at 11.30pm! I am normally in bed by 9.00pm. but it felt so good to be out in the world again.
Some admin to tidy up this morning then the rest of the day to do as I please.

Best wishes to all for a good/better day.

Good morning from a damp hillside in south Glos, I don’t know what the weather is supposed to be like today.
I’m off to the Art Journalling workshop near Stroud later, I need to finish sorting out what I need to take. I have ironing to do too.
I enjoyed my trip to the hairdressers yesterday, decided to go curly! I love it! Then home via a country store to pick up the dog food.
Art group was cancelled yesterday but no one told me 😡, a wasted trip.
Looking forward to my weekend away 🌹

Good morning from a still dark W Kent. At last the day has arrived and I am off for my second cataract operation, I am almost looking forward to it.
I hope all is well Marydoll and all the early risers get through the day.
DGD1 has a driving test booked for midday so more fingers crossed crossing

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

I have an early start as I will be collecting my new glasses from Specsavers. Then I’ll head off to Kew where I’m looking after my granddaughter for the weekend. Elder son and his partner are going to Scotland to look at houses.

I hope all is well now with MaryD and her family.

Good morning from a gently raining Cornwall, quiet and mild. My patio mirrors are reflecting the moon. Lunch at a seaside hotel yesterday with four schoolfriends, lots of laughter. Felt a bit sorry for others in the restaurant. Today I'm volunteering at the hospital. The pic is from my early morning walk the other day.

Good morning from still dark South Lanarkshire, not sure what the weather is doing.

Yesterday was fairly busy, I seemed to have caught a cleaning bug and just kept going once I’d started.

Childminding today, feel as though I haven’t seen them for ages.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from Torbay following overnight rain but with sunshine forecast when it rises!

Yesterday was fine but cold all day so DH enjoyed his day out and visited the model railway shop in Camborne where he bought a locomotive bearing the name of my DGD! It is a joy to see the bond they share as she is only his GD by marriage, if that makes sense.

Meanwhile, “back at the ranch”, I completed my tax return by late morning and paid my dues. Phew! Later I joined a Zoom meeting with fellow stroke survivors which was interesting as usual. I’ve missed it for a few weeks due to internet issues in France.

In the evening I attended a PCC meeting which was efficiently run by the team ministry leader as we are still in an interregnum. DH kindly escorted me there and back as I’m a little nervous in the dark. His reward was a takeaway curry in my absence!

I hope poor Dollie is recovering well, Marydoll.

Happy weekend! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

DH is off to the gym fir his 3rd session this week while I wait for a Sainsbury's delivery. I have loads of admin type things to catch up on too.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Bellasnana Fri 31-Jan-25 06:37:10

Good morning from Malta where it is forecast to be a full he day with a high of 19°C. A bit windy as well.

A horrifying experience for you all Marydoll but so glad to know Dollie came through it and hope she is ok now.🙏🏻

I stayed in yesterday and got on with a lot of jobs before DD3 and the boys arrived for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

It was a beautiful day and I felt guilty for having wasted it but I look like the wrath of God at the moment so don’t feel much like appearing in public.

I have to wait in for a water delivery today, I buy 19 litre bottles which go on a dispenser as our tap water, though drinkable, is full of lime which ruins appliances such as kettle, iron and steam mop. It also doesn’t taste that good.

I have a hair appointment this afternoon but before then will clean my front windows which are actually two big patio doors.

Wishing you all a good day and a happy weekend.☀️

It wasn’t, jax. They are all lovely people, but really! Last night was a complete ‘mare. I suppose that with two teenagers and a rather volatile chap in a houseful of women…

Jaxjacky Fri 31-Jan-25 06:31:51

An early good morning from S Hants, heavy rain woke me up, that was me awake.
It was gloriously sunny yesterday, I enjoyed my walk, today I’ll be out and about more and this afternoon a man is coming to talk wood burners. Tesco delivery later this afternoon and pub tonight.
That doesn’t sound a very relaxing evening gMattie uncomfortable.

Good morning from a chilly Bristol. Haven’t looked out.
My poor MD, how absolutely dreadful for the whole family. Every generation affected. I pray that today will bring better news.
Yesterday’s tai chi class went really well apart from no gentle background music. We had a good workout.
Spanish homework was about feminism, the inequality of jobs and pay, etc., in the world. Should bring up interesting discussions.
My evening didn’t start well, with a ghost bus, soi went for a different bus in a different part of the town. This was delayed. Perhaps it was for the best asIris, DGD and SiL were at odds with each other, causing screaming, spite, silences and sulking… leaving DD and I feeling emotionally battered. Not a restful or fun time! I wonder what is causing all this.
Spanish class this morning with above discussion and videos.
I did change my bed, washed the sheets, and shall put them out before I set off.
I hope that you day is kind and the forthcoming weekend brings you contentment.

Morning Mick, morning All from a wet, cold corner of Somerset.

Little sleep again compensated for by a lot of reading. First job will be installing a chilli mix to slow cook while the washing machine deals with the laundry which has multiplied, as it does, then we’ll be off out for weekend fresh veg. Suspect a quiet afternoon with my nose in a book while Mr C carries on with his model challenge. That man has far more patience and determination than is available to me!

Hope your appointment reappears quickly, mick. With thoughts of all with personal mountains to climb. Hope Friday is kind to us all.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Still dark in South Yorkshire and 3 degrees outside. I clocked up another broken night, probably as a result of going to bed far too early which is getting to be a habit. Yesterday’s walk was lovely. Good company, sunshine, followed by hot chocolate. I had a light lunch with DD and then spent a couple of hours with my niece on the way home - I haven’t seen her since Christmas.
Small jobs will claim my attention this morning and then a volunteer session at school this afternoon. Hopefully I’ll be able to walk there and back.
Have the best day you can, folks.
