I was thinking ,after reading the thread on memory loss, how comforting it is to know that many of us share the same issues as we get older. I don’t know anyone here personally but it is good to share issues like this on an anonymous forum. Also issues with family etc that some of us have. Definitely helpful and it doesn’t need ‘experts’, just a friendly interest. So thank you everyone for your thoughts and contributions!

I so agree nanna8, I don’t post very often but read almost every day. As a recent widow I find great comfort in others experiences and I don’t feel so alone. I gain so much from many of you so thankyou from me too

I couldn’t agree more. When I read threads where some regular posters might be in need of support you just know they’re going to get it. We are all of an age where nobody is exempt from the trials and tribulations that life throws at you. Some are light hearted, some infuriating and some downright tragic.

We’re all in the mix! Well done Gransnet and all who sail in her.

Yes, it is good to know.

Sometimes confiding in a friend can mean that the whole town knows plus embellishments.
I had a friend I trusted absolutely but sadly she died, far too young and I miss her very much.

I agree with you,it is most helpful to recognise that other people have their problems too. A problem shared is a problem halved, as the saving goes.

I agree, when any of us have a concern or a worry or when something awful happens in our life, then our friends on GN are here, and GN is at its very best.

Indeed nanna8 GNs are kind, empathetic and at their best when called upon. Differences of opinion go out the window and kindnesses walk in through the door.

I agree. I have learnt and laughed alongside many posters since I joined.
