Morning Mick, morning All. Looks like some ice on the cars, our corner of Somerset is forecast welcome sunshine today.

Hope your appointment goes well mick

A long round trip (over 90 minutes each way) for a pain clinic assessment today. Not been to this location before, it’s away from the main hospital, I’m told ten minutes from the closest bus stop, we’ll see, also warned it will last at least an hour. Yikes. Mr C will take his iPad and read. Unusually an appointment I’d rather do alone as I know listening to my catalogue of woes would upset him and I’d not be as honest as I need to be. No expectations of this one, certainly no magic wand out there. It’s a day out anyway, we’ll have coffee, then lunch and head for a cuppa (with cake!) before the trek home.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from s somerset, sunny, calm and dry today

My car is packed, I have diy on the plot and will be working there for the whole of today, the end is in sight. I always need to make a list the night before, it is so frustrating if I forget drill bits etc. I have a mental order for what I will be doing, starting by building a large, waterproof, lidded storage unit

I will be cycling again soon, the lanes are drying and I am expecting an uplifting day

Have a good day

grandMattie until I moved here 2019 I didn't see my grandsons very often as I lived over 100 miles away. But once here saw them weekly . My son and his eldest 2 I saw every week for 7 months until covid hit . I knew they where expecting another son in July. Last time I saw and spoke to my son was April 2020 on my birthday. Four days later had a text telling me he was sending me and his sister an email. I was dumped as his mom infact he dumped all over side of our family . Haven't seen or spoke to him since then his choice I never saw it coming. I have a grandson who is now 4 and don't know his name or date of birth. He's brothers are 8&6. But in autumn 2023 I decided for my own peace of mind to let go of any hope of ever seeing them again and been happier since making that decision. As the only person hurting was me . But I still love my son and grandsons. But I don't like my son and if he ever got in contact I would never trust him ever again and any relationship would be on my terms . But that will never happen.

I have a wonderful daughter , son in law and 2 grandson's who I see regularly and love and care about me and they are who I love deeply. Get to spent time with my grandsons as my daughter and son in law have always trusted me with them and know I will look after them .

My son and daughter in law never trusted me on my own with their eldest 2. No idea why .

But that's life . Enjoy every minute with your grandchildren even if it's not very often as having no contact and not knowing why is worse .

I know this isn't the right place but I wanted you to know things could be worse .

For anyone who is suffering from estrangement the support thread is there to help you . I would be lost without them .

Very cold here in the north west especially as I forgot to put the heating on until half hour ago 🤦.

Morning everyone, it’s still dark, have no idea what the weather is doing 🤷‍♀️

I am off to the gym this morning, I need to sort out some bits in my wardrobe this afternoon. The 9yr old is here for his sleepover tonight, DH is out tonight so it will be lovely to have him all to myself 💙

Good morning Mick.
grandMattie The Ghosts of the Avon Gorge would be more exciting.

Still darkish in N Surrey and feels a bit chilly. But not raining. Hair cut today thank goodness. It has gone a bit wild. Ten weeks is too long a gap.

Hope everyone's day goes well.

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

Choir was brilliant yesterday. We did a Valentine Choir - oke. L9ts of fun and we had quite a few new members.

Today, we both have GP appointments so will take the opportunity to nip into M&S and have lunch out.

Good morning from Durham. We too are expecting a bit of sun, but it’s dark SBC cold now.

I’m meeting a friend for coffee this morning. Her son bumped her car yesterday, probably a write off. The other party did a runner from the scene!

Later, I’m going to see DD2 and DGS2, while my Son-in-L is at the football. After a couple of recent defeats, this is a match they must win.

Best wishes to all. X

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

It is the WI monthly coffee morning, which is usually a hoot. Lots of ladies and cake.

It is the WI committee meeting this evening. I have a few things to prepare. This will be my final meeting before I stand down. I will be in Australia for the committee meeting which is held before the AGM.

Have a good day.

Bellasnana, I’m half envious half in admiration of you. I’d love to have had half the contact you have with my own grandchildren.

Good morning from Malta where it feels damp and cold but will rise to 17°C later.

Another lovely day with my two treasures yesterday. They really are no trouble at all bless them.

I’m just off to look after them. They have nursery this afternoon and the other grandparents can’t make it to take them today so I expect I will. I don’t mind but I’m nervous of driving them anywhere, it’s such a big responsibility.

Wishing a good day to you all.☀️

Good morning from an older than recently Bristol.
It’s dry, although it had rained in the afternoon. It was lucky that Something made me get my almost dry washing in before lunch.
I made my cakes for today and biscuits for next week in the morning. I had been very busy, because I also watched a couple of news videos in Spanish then did a little commentary. It’s the first time in ages that I have done it well in advance.
The hairdresser came to do our hair. She’s a very nice young woman and is very affordable. and since she does three in one go, I would suspect she charges a little less as she doesn’t have the travel time, etc.
Today, there’s the Fab cafe ,but I’m not going to a meeting as the subject doesn’t interest me and the selfsame thing is being redone at the WI meeting in a couple of weeks. “The goats of the Avon gorge.”
Have a good day. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Good to be back to normal Mick😊! Hope your day went well. Still dark here in South Yorkshire but we are expecting sunshine. Yesterday I walked home from school in the rain.
Today is writers group at the library and I will have a mooch around the shops before I come home.
But before all that, a large cup of coffee and a couple of digestives to start my day! Have the best day you can, folks.
