Ziplok thank you x

A late good morning,
It’s very cold and grey out today. I’ve just got back from posting a letter and it’s bitter - there’s an icy breeze which is quite cutting. Won’t it be good when we can pop out without first having to put on layers of clothing to keep warm? There’s definitely signs of spring though, lots of snowdrops out and some daffodils and tulips in bud. A sign of warmer days to come.
💐 for your father Rainbow1235.

Good morning I’m late as mornings are hectic here . Goin to see my dad today he only lives a few streets away . We are burying my mothers ashes Friday on what would’ve been their 55 th anniversary and he told me yesterday he’s in a very dark hole and he cannot get out of it . I’m so sad for him . Sending love and hugs to all who may need them flowers

Sar53 I have PM’d you 😘

Yet another grey day but at least it’s not actually raining at present. Wonderful Cleaner is here so I am keeping out of her way by doing filing/putting paper away/appearing busy. Sorry to read so many worried posts this morning though Bella’s two little ones are a shaft of joy in an otherwise rather downbeat day.

A quick good morning from my bit of South Lanarkshire, Giffnock day today and I have to leave much earlier now I use public transport. Having a bus pass is wonderful though.

Lovely boys Bellasnana, a great comfort for you.

Well done Kalu, it’s so easy not to be proactive, but it’s a hard road you’re on.💐

Prayers for your little granddaughter Sar53

Best wishes to all for a good day

Good morning, Michael12 and all!

The burns I received at work when I dropped my mug of hot tea recently were only slight, the marks were no bigger than a small teaspoon and most of the tea went on the floor, just splashes on my legs. I didn't need hospital treatment but the Paramedics applied creams and a bandage and I can barely feel the burning/stinging.

I have to take a week off work because of Health and Safety etc. and I rubbed E45 on my grazed knees when I tripped on the pavement in the dark when I was released from work, they're easing off now!

Other times I go months with no accidents at all then I have 2 within a couple of hours of each other! HA!

I hope you all have a brilliant day whatever you're doing!

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s wet out. Alexa tells me we will have 5°C and showers today.

Himself is off out in an hour for his penultimate complimentary reflexology session at the MacMillan and I’m meeting a friend for coffee in the square. We first met when I did her maternity leave at the hospital. We stayed friends ever since and our. daughters are 47y now.

Morning from S Hants, Groundhog Day with the weather, an odd day on the voluntary phone yesterday, but all sorted. We were dreadful at quiz last night, new quizmaster was very good, a fun evening though.
Normal household bits and pieces today, I’ll ring my brother, it’s his birthday and get out for a walk in the cold.
Thoughts with those in their poignant moments.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast 4°C.
Hairdressers yesterday and as I was rather early, I just pulled up around the corner to read my book for ten minutes or so.
I made sure I wasn’t blocking anything but a male driver making his way out of a road on the left decided I was, even though I wasn’t blocking him. He started gesticulating in an angry fashion through his open window and I could see he was shouting. Then he got out of his car, coming towards me threateningly so I thought it best to move on, I was due for my appointment then anyway. As I passed him, I gave a cheery wave and smile and felt sorry for the young woman in the car to be landed with such an explosive chap.

Music club today, so songs sorted and a warm up this morning. I also sing on my car journeys.
Long FaceTime with Dsister in the south last night. She gives me good tips for films and books and vice versa.

Touching photo Bellasnana, thoughts to Sar and I hope your recliner is just right Mick🌺

Good morning from yet another dull and cloudy Black Country.

4 mile walk yesterday, mostly in drizzle, but wasn't too bad. Then Line Dancing in the afternoon. Starting to get the hang of some of the dance now, only took a year!

Just had a text from Mums Dentist cancelling her appointment today. Rather short notice! Will have to ring them to re-arrange, the first appointment was cancelled too.

Will now go to Mums on Thursday after my walk, so no real plans today, go with the flow.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

monk08 Tue 11-Feb-25 08:35:44

Good morning all from the Black country where it's another dreary day, oh for a bit of sunshine.
Small Iceland shop taking advantage of 10% Tuesday discount.
Will see if DH has any plans once he awakes.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans, best wishes for anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed ☀️.

Taichinan Tue 11-Feb-25 08:24:36

Good morning all from a grey, wet, windy and decidedly chilly Angus coast. I'm off to tai chi soon after only three hours' sleep. I know I'll manage it because I always do - the class lasts only an hour - but how I wish I could sleep during the night and wake during the day!
I enjoyed my trip to Dundee and the hearing specialist yesterday and have my fingers crossed that the small adjustments will make a big difference. On the way back to the car the heavens divested themselves of a shed load of sleety rain - just as I was trying to walk past Waterstones the book shop. So I walked in instead 😁 and spent a happy half hour browsing. They had a buy one and get one half price offer - who could resist!
I haven't read all your posts yet, but I did stop in at your lovely photo of the little boys Bella - what little darlings! Thank you for sharing that.
Have a good day everyone and keep cosy x

Sar I am so sorry to hear about you granddaughter. She sounds exactly like my son. 😪 I hope they can find something which will help.

grandMattie Tue 11-Feb-25 08:18:05

Just seen this in my paper…🤣

Good morning from another damp dreary Suffolk. I woke at just after 2am to find the heating still on and the radiator near my head very hot. The thermostat is in the kitchen where the dog sleeps so I didn’t want to creep downstairs and disturb her.

DH still asleep so I don’t know if he chose to keep it on all night or what. He won’t have minded as he feels the cold much more than I. I don’t think my sleep, what I had for the rest of the night was very restful.

I’m meeting another friend for coffee later and then no more socialising before our holiday on Thursday as there will be ironing to do before we pack tomorrow evening. We are so looking forward to some sun and blue skies.

I hope today is a good one for all in spite of this gloomy weather.

harrigran Tue 11-Feb-25 08:10:47

Good morning from a grey and wet NE.
Yesterday was wet and windy all day, so bad that window cleaner messaged me to say he would not be coming.
Today will be just light housework while I wait for a delivery.
Thoughts are with the poorly and injured.
Have the best day you can.

Gingster Tue 11-Feb-25 08:08:04

Sar so sorry to hear about your poor DGD. 💐🙏

Gingster Tue 11-Feb-25 08:01:57

Good morning al and I won’t mention the weather…. Same old , same old!

That’s such a touching photo Bellasnanna. Bless their little hearts.

We had a lovely Chiming group yesterday and laughed and laughed. What could be better on a wet, dreary Monday morning!

Today I have Play reading this morning, on to have a sandwich with my friend before we head off for Bridge. A full day of enjoyment. All courtesy to the U3A. No one has to be lonely or bored these days. It’s all there for the asking.

Happy birthday to your Dgs GG. I’m sure you’ll make it for the family evening meal and enjoy being with them . Take care.

Have a good day, whatever your plans 🌱

Marydoll Tue 11-Feb-25 07:59:47

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, where it is 3°C.

A poignant picture, Bella, what a beautiful headstone.

Kalu. that was brave of you, both the drive and eating alone in the restaurant. I haven't driven in Glasgow for many years, too many bus lanes, one way streets and my fear of the Kingston Bridge.

Both DH and I have the opticians today. We are going for lunch afterwards, because driving won't be possible, until the drops wear off. To my surprise DH has asked me to drive, because driving in Paisley and trying to find a parking space, is not his forte!

Lunch will be a waste of money on my part. My mouth is riddled with ulcers, which won't heal, despite hydrocortisone medication from my GP and I also have a sore throat. Alexa responded to a question from me, in a low , husky voice. She was imitating my voice. That is unsettling!
My suspicion is that my problems are a side effect of my biologics. Hopefully not, because I am running out of medication options.
I am absolutely miserable, it has been going on for weeks.

I also have a Parish Council meeting this evening, I am practising remaining silent. 😉

Have a good day folks, whatever your plans.

Good morning from cold South Lanarkshire

I’ve had a very broken night, Sod’s Law as I have a charity shop shift today followed by my yarn group this evening.

Sweet photo Bellasnana.
flowers for all those grieving today.

luluaugust Tue 11-Feb-25 07:52:33

Good morning from a damp W Kent. The funeral yesterday was very touching and certainly a life well lived.
Today we have U3A it is held in a local church so rather chilly. My eye is still red but luckily I have an appointment for Friday
Thinking of all of you specially those struggling along flowers

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 11-Feb-25 07:48:17

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

I should be going to have another session of electrolysis this morning. Thing is the area is still sore and a bit scabby. I tried to cancel yesterday and ended up sending an email as there was no way to leave a telephone message and the text I sent bounced back.

I will sort out insurance for my new car. It’s only insured for another couple of weeks.

After lunch I’m collecting a friend whose car is being fixed and we’ll go to see another friend for the afternoon.

OH bit the bullet yesterday and arranged the operation he needs privately. Of course he cancelled the NHS one. It will take place a few days after I get back from Australia.

Have a good day everyone.
