Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 2°C.

I woke my self up, screaming so loudly with a night terror, poor DH got the fright of his life. I thought my mother was standing beside my bed. It was awful, the pain in my head was so bad, I thought I was having a stroke. It also triggered an angina attack, the first in ages. I was quite terrified.
I have absolutely no idea what is going on with my health at the moment.

Llfl, an alternative to Corsodyl is Difflam. It is stronger and expensive. My dentist has previously prescribed it, but I was so desperate for some relief, I purchased a bottle the other day.
My ulcers are slowly healing, but I have a new one this morning. 😭

Bonny have a lovely holiday and best wishes to all who are struggling. No church for me today, I shall be withdrawing to the conservatory for the duration.

Good morning all. 2deg. cloudy with light snow forecast. Another bitterly cold day.

Plan so far is to sort out and bag donations for charity, including DH’s wardrobe. I will stack up the bags in the garage which is so cold it feels like walking into a fridge, ready to load into my car. Last night I decided to visit the Burrell Collection today. I am now mulling over the idea.

I have only recently discovered films on YouTube Grey. Even better, GD2 took me through how I could watch them on TV.
Every day is a school day still.
Dear Bella thank you for your reply. My thoughts are all over the place just now and I feared I had upset you. 💐

Hopefully a pleasant day is ahead for all.

Good morning from a grey W Kent. Not much sleep, I could do with a good walk but not in the cold. Usual call to DB and a cooked lunch, otherwise a quiet day.
Best wishes to all

Grandmabatty Sun 16-Feb-25 08:03:56

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 3° and damp. Slightly lighter grey skies today.
Yesterday I had breakfast with a friend and a good chat. As I suspected, she was unhappy at the change in the restaurant and was quite grumpy but brightened up quickly. I went to see Bridget Jones and quite enjoyed it. It's not my cup of tea really but there were humorous bits and sad bits too. My eyes coped with driving at night, although I wouldn't like to go far.
Today will be quieter. I'll get the washing finished and polishing and hoovering done. This afternoon I'll visit mum. Safe journey to all the travellers.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 16-Feb-25 08:02:41

Morning everyone from a grey S E Essex.

I am about to wrap my right knee in cling film, sealed with surgical tape so that I can have a shower. Not easy as my left foot is still swollen and painful, but hey ho I’ll give it a go!

We have DS4’s children being dropped off at 10am (7 & 5) they are here until tomorrow evening. DH is convinced that he can do the running around after them, I am on sitting down stories etc.

Will report back how it goes 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from Durham.
Cold, grey, damp - love the wet cement description!
Lovely afternoon with DGS2 yesterday, until we go home and he was sick - everywhere! What a mess, but, of course, he’s fine this morning and raring to go!
Unlike me, so. I’m going to enjoy a day of rest, without any plans.

Best wishes to all. X

RosieandherMaw Sun 16-Feb-25 07:55:48

I will make a start on packing for my Australia jaunt today. After lunch I’ll pop into the Pharmacy in the nearby town and ask them to recommend something for a bitten tongue which is still slightly sore
I would recommend Corsodyl @ LLFL, hold a little in your mouth for maybe a minute (don’t swallow, it’s vile) or I believe they also make a gel to dab on. Brilliant for gum disease, ulcers and anything else oral.

Liberty Sun 16-Feb-25 07:49:51

Good morning from somewhere off the coast of Portugal where we are an hour ahead of the UK.

Hope the photo from our cabin posts. I think the 2 yellow spots are reflections from the lamps in the cabin and not sun spots.

Hope all have a little sunshine today, literal if not real.

kittylester Sun 16-Feb-25 07:48:24

Good morning all from a grey, chilly and damp North Leicestershire.

We had DGD2 and 3 last night while their parent's went out. They will arrive here for lunch and then stay for a few days.

Have the best day possible all.

brook2704 Sun 16-Feb-25 07:48:23

Good morning ever From Inverness where it’s 2°, frosty with clear skies
why and Sar53 sorry to hear you’re both feeling down, sending ❤️
Yesterday we enjoyed a walk along the beach at Nairn, well wrapped up of course and then coffee in a seafront hotel. Today I’m looking forward to DGS coming over later for a sleepover.
Enjoy the birthday celebrations corner and safe travels to you and everyone on the move today
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Redcar Sun 16-Feb-25 07:47:58

Good morning everyone from mid Essex, where, it’s cold, damp and cloudy again. Forecast to be cloudy and cold (3 degrees) all day. I didn’t go out yesterday, our local recreation ground is busy on Saturdays with a dog training class going on as well as childrens football training, then games. I may go out today as it’s usually quieter. I did a load of washing yesterday and got it dry, need to iron it all now!
DDs are going to see the new Bridget Jones film this morning, but may visit this afternoon 🤞. There’s plenty of cleaning to be done which will keep me busy anyway.
bonnybanko enjoy the warmth and sunshine!
cornergran safe travels along the motorways and enjoy the celebrations for your son’s 50th.
fgt I think your DH has a hospital appointment tomorrow? I hope it goes well with a good result for you both.
Have the best day possible everyone.

Susan56 Sun 16-Feb-25 07:44:35

Good morning from Shropshire where another chilly and dull day is forecast.

We had a lovely time in town with the children. There were a couple of activities going on for half term and we all enjoyed lunch out in our favourite cafe.

Today we are going to Staffordshire to DD2.

Have a good day everyone🦩

EkwaNimitee Sun 16-Feb-25 07:43:30

Good morning Mick and everyone from greyish Carlisle.

Yesterday I was out early and did a sweep through the countryside in search of the papers and various comestibles. I managed to get some local venison and lamb. The latter almost seems a different species from what I could get in the supermarket. Tonight's dinner will be a lamb steak possibly washed down with one of my mini bottles of champagne. I know how to live!
On my drive back home, a weakly shining sun appeared. It didn't last long, no sitting in by my window enjoying its warmth. No sun due till Thursday apparently. I stayed in, it was a reading the papers day.

Today I shall shortly be out for a walk unless it starts raining, then home to finish off those papers and have an overdue chat with my sister. I've been getting holiday envy of those of you enjoying warmer parts so have tentatively been researching a short trip away. I should bite the bullet and actually book one, life's too short for procrastination, I have a first class degree in that.

I hope you all have a pleasant day.

RosieandherMaw Sun 16-Feb-25 07:39:07

Good morning from Walthamstow.
I hear little voices from downstairs but their Daddy is with them so I can relax.
Littlest fella woke up a couple of times around 11/11.30 crying for Mummy but settled quite quickly. Fortunately the third time, about 1.15 they were practically home and I could go off to bed 😴😴😴
Brunch /early lunch at D2’s later this morning (I am staying at D3’s) then I’ll head home this afternoon.
It’s cold here this morning but fair and (especially considering this is London ) - very still.
As a plus I can just see one of last summers Banksy wall artworks from my bedroom window as the trees are bare! Culcher!
Wishing you all a pleasant day and safe travels if you are out and about.

Sar53 Sun 16-Feb-25 07:32:13

Good morning from a very cold and grey Essex coast.
I've not slept well and feel a bit down, I'm sure it will pass.
DH has rugby this morning with his grandson. They are playing another club so not sure when he will be back.
I'm glad to be staying in the warm.
Have a good Sunday everyone xx

cornergran Sun 16-Feb-25 07:24:59

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is cold, should be dry today.

Off along two motorways to join the family celebrations for our elder sons 50th birthday. A week early to accommodate everyone. A Chinese meal at lunch time, cake and gifts later.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 16-Feb-25 07:07:23

Morning all from a chilly West Oxfordshire.

I will make a start on packing for my Australia jaunt today. After lunch I’ll pop into the Pharmacy in the nearby town and ask them to recommend something for a bitten tongue which is still slightly sore.

Have a good day everyone.

grandMattie Sun 16-Feb-25 06:45:42

Good morning from another dreary, chilly day in Bristol. We are promised double figures and sunshine at the end of next week. Whoops, was that a pig 🐖 in the sky?
Other than the church coffee and chat, I did very little. It seems my body is telling me that the looong wait at the eye hospital has taken its toll, so I did nothing other than make some squash soup for lunch.
The concert in the evening didn’t appeal sufficiently for me to go.
Much the same today.
Have a good weekend. Ash, enjoy your lunch.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩

Greyduster Sun 16-Feb-25 06:41:39

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a very cool South Yorkshire. Sleet showers are forecast. I didn’t venture out much yesterday apart from a grocery shop. Had a general tidy up and then watched an old film on You Tube that had been a favourite of mine when I was a child. The 1937 B&W version of The Prisoner of Zenda, with Ronald Coleman, Douglas Fairbanks and a young David Niven. Lots of romance, stiff upper lips and a good sword fight at the end! Perfect!
I am going to make bacon and vegetable soup in the slow cooker today, and make up the spare bed for when GS comes for an overnight next week, ostensibly to sort out some stuff in the garden but it will depend on the weather.
Have the best day you can, folks.

whywhywhy Sun 16-Feb-25 06:38:05

Good morning from a cold and dark midlands. Going for breakfast with my son then he goes back home. I’m trying to be happy but I feel so depressed. Hugs to everyone especially those who are suffering in any way. Mental health is invisible but very real. X

Grammaretto Sun 16-Feb-25 06:37:41

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. 2°C but we are promised sunshine around 11!
I just got a fright. I went down to the kitchen to make myself a cuppa and forgot the puppy was in there! DD and family are staying.

We should do book sorting today as a book dealer is coming on Tuesday.

It snowed yesterday but has melted now. Too early for gardening here although there are many varieties of seed potatoes at our community shop.
Hoping everyone's day goes well.

Nice to think of your piano playing again, Ash smile

Murphymycat Sun 16-Feb-25 06:31:56

We’re in Dorset. The weathers usually mild but it has been cold recently. Forecast for Tuesday is sunny most of the day, so fingers crossed. We’re going for a short break on the Isle of Wight at the end of next week so I’ve persuaded OH to go to Clark’s Village (big outlet village near Glastonbury in Somerset) to get some bits.

We met on the I of W 30 years ago next year so it’s now one of our favourite places. 😀

Bonnybanko Sun 16-Feb-25 06:30:53

Here’s the proof I’m not fibbing not bad for a 75 yr old

Bonnybanko Sun 16-Feb-25 06:28:33

Good morning all from a happy camper (tho not literally) because I’m in a hotel in the Canary Islands, Tenerife to be exact enjoying the sunshine. It’s to reach 66 degrees today and compared to back home in Fife it’s blooming hot. I better go home with a tan at least or I’ll not be happy.

Have a good day my friends and smile smile smile 💐

Murphymycat Sun 16-Feb-25 06:22:31

I love Torbay. We lived in mid Devon for years and went down there a lot. The first time was around Christmas and it was so mild we didn’t bother with jackets/coats.
