Good morning from mid Essex. It’s a mild morning and still cloudy from last night’s rain, some large puddles around this morning. The forecast is for the cloud and rain to clear this morning, with a bright afternoon.
Yesterday I took my prescription to the pharmacy, had to queue again. Our really good, efficient and helpful pharmacist has moved on elsewhere and I don’t think there’s permanent replacement yet. Dusted and swept the dining room and did some ironing, will do the rest today.
I’ll change the bedsheets today & get them washed. Also have to wrap up my DGD1’s birthday present, she will be 10 next Friday. I’ll deliver it one day in the week. I’ll have a look at my garden to see what I can do to tidy it a bit. The grass needs cutting, but it won’t be done yet as it looks as though it’s going to be wet for the foreseeable future!
Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning all
I’m home from my holiday in Tenerife, thanks to my friends who met me there we all had a fabulous time, the sun shone and the weather reached 28 degrees .

Now that I’m home on the east coast of Fife I’ll be wearing warmer clothes as it’s much colder here..🥶

Have a good day my friends wherever you are.

Good morning all from grey North Leicestershire.

We had a lovely time with DGS3 and DGD1 at the Indian restaurant over the road. It's great to catch up with them without their parents. They are doing As (Dgs,) and GCSE. DGS has decided not to apply for University but to apply for Degree Apprenticeships. It is proving much more time consuming that just doing UCAS and I think he was glad to come here and forget it all.

We will take them home this morning and then sit down to recover from half term. Love them all be need recovery time.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where I’m sat up in bed reading the newspapers on line quietly as Himself is still asleep beside me. It’s dry out. Seems chilly with no sunshine. Our only plan for today is to take my stepfather to the M&S food hall then home to read my book. Doubtless there will be ⚽️ on tv for Himself to enjoy watching (on the new sofa which is very comfortable!).

Hope Saturday is good to us all.

Morning Mick, morning All. It looks dry out there, our corner of Somerset is forecast some sunshine which would be wonderful.

Walking to get my lift to volunteering yesterday I was assaulted by empty recycling boxes hurled around in the wind. Some gusts were so strong I couldn’t walk into them. It was much less fierce in the afternoon and thankfully no obvious damage.

Hoping to get out into the very soggy garden to do some tidying, I’ll stand on the the bright yellow traction strips we kept from our touring van. Perhaps a wander along the river after lunch. My sort of day.

A happy birthday to your granddaughter bellasnana and good wishes to anyone with a celebration today.

Hope Saturday is kind to us all.

Morning, dry in Hampshire after the rain yesterday, more later I believe.
A brief, unexpected visit from friends yesterday bearing Hellebores, gifts for my birthday next Saturday, they’d been delivered to them early, I’ll get them in today.
MrJ playing bowls this afternoon, I’ll clean bathrooms and strip our bed before watching the rugby.
Fingers crossed for successful shopping Ash
You sound a little better Bellas 👍

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Still dark in South Yorkshire but the forecast is for a mild sunny day. We’ll see. It was wet and very windy yesterday so I stayed in and gave the house a good fettling. DS is coming down to spend the day with me and I have booked a table for lunch at a local pub he likes, then hopefully we might squeeze a walk in before he goes home.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning all from sunny Hurghada where I’m still lolling abed with the smallest chamberpot..☕️

Had a strange 24 hour bug where I couldn’t eat without moving far from the facilities IYSWIM 😱 although MrPG was fine - I suspect the ice in my Mojito t’other night🍸so I’ll stick to red wine if I partake today!

That half pot of marmalade/jam always makes me smile grandMattie and my dad always insists it’s for him (I do give him a full one as well🤗)

There’s something very satisfying about airing cupboard sorting isn’t there Roses? Did mine after setting up spare room as a proper bedroom again last month - can’t believe the bedding I’d amassed 🤨. I’m down to 2 sets of flannelette and 2 of Egyptian cotton for each bed now!

Will pop back this evening and see what excitements are upon you…

Good morning from a chilly but dry Torbay.

I’m hoping to manage a Lidl shop today which will be the first time I’ve shopped alone since December! If I manage to be up early, I’ll be there before it is too busy. I just hope my recalcitrant left leg doesn’t fail me!

Good luck with the care of your grandsons, Bellasnana!

And a happy weekend to everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from Malta where a fine day is forecast with a high of 18°C.

Today DGD in Florida turns 14. How fast the years have flown. I’m thankful for all the lovely, close time we spent together when she was little but can’t help feeling sad at missing much of the last seven years of her life due to the 6000 mile distance between us.

Well, DD3 is in Bologna so I must get my skates on and go over to relieve SiL of the boys so he can go to work.

I first have to stop in at the PO to collect a registered letter which is actually rather important.

Wishing you all a good day and may I just say a big thank you to all of you for being here with your support and kindness. ☀️

Good morning Mick and followers, it’s dry here in south Glos too, at the moment anyway, I’m not sure what the forecast is for today.
My friend cancelled our meet-up yesterday morning because she is unwell, we’ll rearrange it for another day.
Yesterday I emptied the airing cupboard and the adjoining one for the heating engineer to service the boiler so thought I’d sort through the stuff that gets shoved is kept in there. I gave away miscellaneous bottles of shampoo and bath products that I have accumulated and there’s a black bag of unwanted bed linen that can go to the charity shop. It’s much tidier now!
I actually know what’s in there 😊
Today I want to do a longer dog walk, everywhere is so muddy I might take the dog in the car to the village- she hates the car unfortunately, and do a lanes walk, it’s generally very quiet on a Saturday.
A quiet weekend for us, I really don’t mind at all, I hope yours is too 🌹

Good morning from a dark, but dry Bristol. Milder atm.
I had a quiet but satisfying day making a delicious lemon marmalade. The fat, juicy lemons 🍋 at the greengrocers were irresistible!
My neighbour came down for a cuppa and was sat in the kitchen as I finished the marmalade. I was in the later stages of boiling to set, then potting. She did benefit by having a half pot which I can’t sell.
I’m serving coffee in church today and must set it all up. My companion is generally late and happier chatting than serving…
Hugs to those in distress. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
