We had a lovely clear sunny day yesterday, but come sunset it had completely clouded over. I was so disappointed.

The sky was cloudless last night and the planets were clearly visible. One of the few times I'm glad the street lights are not so bright in these days of austerity.

How gorgeous that would be!

We will be by the sea tonight, forecast clear and frosty, I’ll be looking skyward

And if you look down at your feet, you’ll see Earth too!

2 of my GD's and I saw a very bright Venus on Tuesday evening. Sadly, the last 2 nights have not had a clear sky so we are hoping tonight will be different. A bright start to the day here, so let's hope it continues.
I find the Solar System fascinating.

We stood in the garden the last clear night my daughter was in awe I believe we managed to see 4 possibly 5 of the parade and Orion it is amazing.

I can’t believe how bright they are. And different colours.

unashamed "BUMP"

Everything crossed for that one. The sky last night was fabulous. Venus and Mars, the Pleiades and several well known constellations - and it was mild enough to stand in the garden and marvel at it.

Thanks infoman I will look out with my binoculars if the sky is clear enough.

Would be wonderful to see that. Have to rely on a clear sky.

28th February 2025,sunset on the day in the U.K. is 17:40pm.
Lets all hope for a clear night,as it won't happen till 2040,
that's the date and not the time.
Look towards the Western Sky which is where the Sun will set.
