Good Morning from Durham. The usual grey, cool day ahead.
I’m having a parcel collected this morning, so I’ll just potter around the house. Later, I’m going to get DD2’s Little Dog for a longer stay, as she’s flying South for the rest of the week.
💐*Bellas*, MD and other GNs feeling unwell, unloved and down trodden.

Best wishes to all. X

Morning Mick, morning All. It looks as if it will be a decent if windy day.

After a night with minimal sleep I must buck up as it’s Mr C’s birthday. Nothing major planned, there’s a request for a wander outside if the sun should shine, a comfortable coffee stop and you guessed it, lots of cake. I’m sure we can manage all that. There are cards and gifts to open, the family will phone and I’m sure he’ll have a decent day.

Sadly there are major issues with the care of our goddaughters Mum, my oldest and closest friend. Neither of us had siblings and we each filled a sister shaped space. I’m worried but can do not a thing to intervene other than listen to our goddaughter vent. Her approach to life is so different to mine it’s hard to offer suggestions, I rarely do now.

Sometimes our adult children just don’t understand we’re not always robust bellasnana. I hope today is less bumpy for you. Take it easy today grandmattie and harrigran give yourselves recovery time. As ever thinking of all finding life hard going.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Good morning all, thank you to those, who have expressed concern. It is heartening to know that that I have friends on here
Just to let you know, that I am still here, but just not doing very well. It is difficult for me to engage at the moment, life is a bit of a struggle, with not just one health issue causing difficulties.

I have contacted the hospital for support, but they can take up to three days to respond, so I must get on with it and refrain from wallowing.

I am sorry to hear some posters are struggling, I hope life improves for you..

For those on holiday, enjoy.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Dawn is just breaking in South Yorkshire but it’s cold. We’re in for a mixed day of weather I think. I went for my haircut yesterday afternoon and just as I as ready to leave, my niece walked in. She had the appointment after mine. I had a coffee while I waited for her and drove her home in the car, which saved her the cost of a taxi.
Volunteering this afternoon - hopefully the weather will permit a walk there and back.
Bellasnana hope you have a better day today 💐💐
Have the best day you can folks.

The local rookery is getting very noisy. Spring must be on its way!

Good morning from Bristol.

Bellasnana, I’m so sorry about the difficulties with your DD. It’s always so difficult, especially when they have made plans an£ expect you to do things you don’t want to do and without consultation. Especially as you do so very much with her boys. Big 🤗 hugs.

I had a sudden and unexpected mini attack of labyrinthitis yesterday. As we were coming home from the supermarket,mi started to feel odd. By the time I go in, I just threw my shopping in the kitchen, put the frozen food in the freezer, took a “wonky” pill and went to bed.

My neighbour was due to call for me in about an hour to go to the film. There was no way I could go, so I texted her. She didn’t look at her phone and called for me. I dragged myself out of bed/doze…. I then slipped in and out of sleep for three hours and only got up when I started to feel more stable. I spent the of the day sitting quietly.

I hope today will be better. I’ve got my WI book group this afternoon, finish my book to take with me and Spanish homework this morning.

May today be kind to you. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and dry, I think. It's too dark to tell. Bellasnana 💐.
Yesterday I had a busy day. I dropped off the boys at school and worked in the library for two and a half hours. Then home to do dds tumble drying. I picked up the boys and dgs2 had a few tantrums before dd picked him up. It was exhausting. I think he was just very tired because he woke early. I went to bed early too.
Today I will potter about the house after I drop off the boys. I might venture into the garden depending on the weather. Then pick them up again. I'm concerned about DD as she was tearful last night when we were talking about dgs2's tantrums. I think she's tired too. Dsil helps in many ways but isn't great at dealing with tantrums. Anyway, they'll find a way through it, I'm sure. Have a good day all.

Good morning from astill dark but dry NE.
Started with a dicky tummy at 1 am but did fall asleep, woke again at 5.30 with my insides churning. Wonder if I picked up a bug when I was out on Sunday. Think it is going to be a duvet day.
Had a message from DD to say she is coming to the UK on Wednesday evening so if I wouldn't mind postponing shopping until Thursday she will come with me. That was a nice surprise.
Sorry to hear of your upset Bellasnana.

Good morning from Malta where it is light and we expect a high of 19°C.

Yesterday was a bit emotional. Started the day with ‘words’ with DD3 as I have said I won’t look after their dog when they go to Sicily on holiday in April. Won’t bore you with details but DD3 told me ‘you’re always moody these days’ which really hurt as I’ve been feeling so rotten but still carried on looking after the boys do as not to let her down.

I’m afraid I burst into tears and felt weepy all day.

Littlest went to hospital but ended up returning home as he has a fever so his surgery is now postponed to an , as yet, unknown date. He’s been on the waiting list for two years so hope it will not take as long as that.

I took Twin 1 out to the park, what a sweetheart he is though has very few words for his age. He was happy and went off to nursery with a little wave. He only asked for ‘bubba’ (brother) once when he pointed out the empty booster seat in the car.

In happier news, my niece’s baby boy arrived ten days early and is still without a name as his parents can’t agree! My late sister now has five little grandchildren, she’d have been such a wonderful grandmother but died too young.

I went down to my garage yesterday and started piling up what needs to go. I have someone called the Junk Taxi who is going to come and get rid of all the detritus so, with a bit of luck, there will be room for my car! It has only taken nine years for me to address this issue. 🤦‍♀️

. Thank you all so much for your good wishes for littlest yesterday. He was apparently most offended to be poked and prodded in a rather sensitive area, bless him!

Anyway, I had better be off. Two little boys waiting for me and I’ve got them all day as no nursery on Tuesdays.

Apologies for another epistle.

Have the best day you can dear friends.☀️

Good morning from dark and still South Lanarkshire.

Our weekend away was a great success despite the weather. The children got on famously and thoroughly enjoyed walks in the wet woods with the dogs. The older ones played happily with the little ones who were just delighted to be with their cousins. We came home yesterday afternoon and could have done with a nap, which is something I never do though so I just had a long soak in the bath. Last night we had an unexpected visit from friends bearing a beautiful arrangement of flowers. They stayed for a couple of hours by which time I was definitely ready to sleep having used up all my energy reserves.

Afternoon shift in the charity shop today.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Afternoon everyone from a very hot (29 degrees) Australia!

My brother and I spent some time today playing scrabble. His partner and her daughter have gone to watch the new Bridget Jones film. Brother is having a lie down. He still has a heart condition and gets very tired. I’m lying on a cosy bed, watching wallabies leaping around the garden and enjoying the shimmering heat and the rustling through the bamboo. If I could post a photo, I would.

I am returning to Sydney tomorrow on a seven hour train journey.

Enjoy your day everyone, and I hope all is well with MaryD.
