FGT that is better news than first thought of! The boys were very funny this morning. They both raided my wardrobe and came through wearing a pair of my shoes and carrying a handbag. Dgs1 was going to Spain on a plane while dgs2 was waiting for the plane to Langecanaria. His attempt at Gran Canaria. 😂. I fully anticipate more flight fun this afternoon. I've just moved a bookcase to another wall and hoovered. That's the limit on housework today.

Oh Grandmabatty I do enjoy your tales about your little ones! You are such a kindly grandma who sensibly ‘goes with the flow’. “Pick your battles” as our daughter used to say when L’il Miss was that age! 😂

FGT enjoy your time in your happy place. Susan bullying is awful and in every school and many workplaces. It's not surprising that your dds head teacher doesn't recognise that she is the problem.
Dgs2 was very tiring this morning again. He wouldn't put on the trainers and insisted on wearing a pair of my shoes. Cue lots of screaming and tears. Then he wanted to wear his dressing gown and not his jacket. I understand about the trainers. They were a pair the nursery had put on him because he got wet. However it's just very wearing first thing in the morning. Eventually he walked to the car, helped by me, wearing my shoes and his dressing gown. Once at nursery, he changed into the trainers and his jacket quite happily. The vagaries of a three year old!

FGT, so sorry to hear the news re Your DH was not so good. Great that you are both off to your happy place and can relax and enjoy the sun (not that I am jealous or anything!) 🥀

So many upsets on here this morning of one kind or another. I too won’t single anybody out as there are so many in need of a gentle hug. 💐 for you all though and 🤞 life takes a turn for the better soon. Stress, tiredness and anxiety add to the mix don’t they? x

DD2 has been bullied at work by a vile headteacher.She is working out her notice.Said headteacher is very upset DD is leaving🤷‍♀️

Correction DGS1 Taichinan

Good morning all from sunny Berkshire. Fab day yesterday into London with DD which stops right outside her flat, I can use my bus pass and we sat at the front on the top deck, which I love.

We had a trip out to Hampstead and walked to Keats House, only viewed from the outside as closed on Mondays. A drink on the High Street and back to a very familiar spot over the years, Kensington High Street where my late BIL worked and my late DH joined him for a while. We had a good meal in a luxurious but zany restaurant and returned here tired but happy on the bus.

I leave for the north today and it will be nice to see my little cat again 🐈‍⬛

I hope the treatment goes well for both himself FGT and your DGD Taichinan and thoughts to all.

Good morning to you all it’s a nice bright sunny day here in south wales so hopefully will get my grandson out for a walk later as it’s half term here and my daughter is at work till prob about 7 . She’s not silly she knows it’s easier to work than take care of a strong willed 5 year old all day . Sending love and hugs 🫂 to all of you who needs it x

A bright morning as I await the arrival of Wonderful Cleaner and a domestic morning of bed changing, laundry and general cleanliness. Then it will be back to George Orwell in preparation for Thursday’s discussion.

Sorry to read about difficult daughters, lack of sleep, general unwellness and disappointing medical news. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry after chucking it down last night. Alexa tells me it’ll only be 8°C at most today so more chilly than yesterday.

Yesterday’s appointment at The Christie momentarily blindsided us as we were informed the main tumour is possibly starting to grow again. As the oncologist reminded us “we always knew such a thing would eventually happen”. Anyway a scan is scheduled for six weeks’ time instead of twelve weeks to monitor Himself more closely and we were given details of treatment options for when the time is right. It was a lot to think about but as Himself said “at least we are still being offered treatment which is a Good Thing”. This raised our spirits when the news sunk in last night. Living with cancer is a rollercoaster life. Hey ho.

Anyway Himself has booked flights for us with Mr. O’Leary and we are off to our happy place in Málaga tomorrow afternoon for a nine day holiday. Yay! So I’m having a mani/pedi this afternoon and will pop our passports etc in my cross body bag tonight ready for the ✈️ 🌞 🏖️ 😁
