Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry and bright
Marydoll thinking of you, hoping things improve a bit soon and you get to speak to the hospital today
A busy day planned, I’ve a volunteering session first thing, then a quick trip to the gym and finally the hairdressers this afternoon - I’ll be pleased to sit and be pampered!
Hoping your DGS is a bit better soon bellas
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from a bright W Kent. A slow week this week so DH and I have decided to go and buy another reading lamp today. We could buy on line but thought a bit of exercise might be good. A DF was supposed to come this morning but an imminent house sale is not going well and she can’t face anyone, I am worried for her at present.
Marydoll I hope the hospital get back to you today.
Best wishes all round

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s frosty out, but sunny at the moment. Rain is forecast for today, so it’s nice to see the sun even for a little while.
I had a longer walk yesterday, went round the estate behind my house, built on fields 6 years ago. The road round the houses borders the field, nice to see a cereal crop growing this year, a reminder that we’re still in the country here. I need to collect my medication this morning, hopefully I’ll collect it before the rain comes. Not sure what else to do today, I could start to sort out my wardrobe, but don’t have much enthusiasm for it!
susan I hope your busy day goes well and you achieve everything you’re planning to do.
fgt enjoy your happy place!
md I hope that you had some helpful communication from the hospital yesterday.
bellasnana I hope that your little grandson feels better after seeing the paediatrician today.
Have the best day possible everyone.

Marydoll hopefully you will hear from the hospital today, I have everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Save journey to the dear FriedGreenTomatoes2 enjoy your happy place.

Bellasnana I do hope your little GS is on the mend soon.

Good morning all. North Leicestershire is quite chilly this morning.

Our cleaner is due at 9 am, DH is off to the gym and I am popping into town to look for something to try to cheer up a very poorly friend.

Plumber due this afternoon to service the boiler. DH and DS1 are going to the football this evening so I have an empty.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning Mick, morning All. It’s very wet out there, should be dryer later

Mr C thoroughly enjoyed his birthday, a gentle day. A walk in the sun in the morning, some good coffee, a lot of sitting looking out at a pleasant view with (far too) much cake. A good meal and contact with the family later. Our sort of day. I slept like a log. .

Back home later. The lanes were covered in water when we arrived, suspect the same again on our way out. The car is mud coloured, we’re hoping the rain continues and will wash some off!

Safe flight fgt. Much as I’d love warm sun 11 days would be far too long for me now pantglas, even five is pushing it. The wanderlust feet have disappeared.

With thoughts to all facing challenges. Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 2°C.

Thank you all for your bests wishes, yesterday. I'm not doing too well at the moments and seem to be getting worse. I feel very low and appreciate your kindness.
Unfortunately, I missed two calls from the hospital yesterday ( I had to pick up Mr MD from the car dealership.) The message was so garbled on the answer machine, I couldn't make it out to call back. 😒

On a lighter note,Borrheid and I had a two hour plus phone call last night ( I had no voice in the end). We hadn't spoken in almost fifty years. What a tonic, the years just melted away. 💕

A very special mention for Auntieflo, who is unwell in hospital. Sending her love and prayers. 💐

Have a pleasant day folks, whatever your plans

Bellasnana Wed 26-Feb-25 06:25:56

Good morning from Malta where it is sunny at present with a high of 16°C forecast along with some rain this afternoon.

Yesterday was lovely and sunny but, unfortunately, we weren’t able to enjoy it as poor little Twin 2 was so unwell and just needed to be cuddled.

His temperature was still high in the evening so DD3 messaged the paediatrician who is making a house call this morning which is why I am still at home drinking coffee as DD3 will not go to work until he’s been.

Always something to worry about.

I’m so very sorry you are so unwell Marydoll, can only imagine what a struggle you have with ill health whilst still doing so much for your family and the Church. Hoping for better news today. 💐

Safe travels to the FGTs. Glad you are able to get away for a break in your happy place.

As always , thank you all for your support, I wept buckets at the kindness extended when you all have your own troubles and worries to contend with.

Hoping for a good day for you all.☀️

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A mix of sun and rain expected today in South Yorkshire, but it’s a cold start. Walked to school and back yesterday for my volunteer session, which went well enough, though there is no heating in the room I work in and it was chilly yesterday.
Writers group today at the library and a mooch round M&S while I’m at the mall.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from s somerset, sunny today, with light showers

What a beautiful morning it was yesterday, so warm and sunny that I took the cover off one of my outside benches and had my coffee outside just wearing my indoor clothes. More of the same for several days to come and while it lasts

That put me into a sewing mood and I made a strong, brushed twill, slip-over smock for gardening, same as a fishermans smock, with pockets and darts. It was so nice and practical that I cut the other one out during the afternoon. They will get dirty so I pre-wash and then tumble dry, so there is no more shrinking to be done

I need to sort wardrobe stuff, the toiles that I made during the last few years, I took five items out and got rid of two paper patterns too. Definitely not my style, hence toiles from my least favourite fabrics

More sitting out this morning and a walk, then I will make the smock this afternoon and go through some more toiles.

Have a good day

Good morning from a chilly, damp Torbay.

I had to be up and out early yesterday so didn’t post but I read the thread later and passed on the lovely comments made regarding Mizuna which she was surprised and pleased to receive.

Since having a cardiac valve repaired, my dental hygienist insists I take a liquid antibiotic an hour before she treats me so I was out just after eight yesterday morning. Later I joined the Props team where we are continuing to stock take and streamline some of the items that we store.

Today at Wednesday Club, we shall be addressed by the Chairman of Toads who will announce the plays for the forthcoming season which begins in July.

Thoughts with those who are unwell, especially Marydoll and safe travels to FriedGreenTomatoes2 and DH en route to your happy place.

Happy hump day! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good Morning from Durham. Dark, cold and a forecast for rain.
A day pottering around the house/garden/garage, as I’ve DD’s Little Dog here, but we’ll have a couple of walks.
Hope MD is a little better.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning all from sunny 🌞 Hurghada - why can’t I post a pic?

We took a taxi to the marina yesterday morning and had lunch whilst coveting some of the stunning yachts - gosh they must cost a king’s ransom to maintain let alone purchase!

Glad to see Miss Marydoll posting and hope GGs knees go from strength to strength now that gentle exercise is possible - bet it’s been tough for one so busy to be immobile 🤨

Back to my north Wales 🪹 on Friday and I can’t wait, I suspect 11 days is too long for me nowadays- wot a wuss🤦‍♀️

RosesandLilac Wed 26-Feb-25 05:40:22

Good morning, it’s dry here too in south Glos, fingers crossed for a dry day (somewhat optimistically I fear).
Yesterday I had coffee with my neighbour across the road, lovely to catch up with her, and a friend popped in and asked me if I’d like to join her art group- very much looking forward to that!
A lovely afternoon dog walk, the sun was shining for part but still a very chilly wind.
Today I have a pile of ironing to get through and a few throws to wash, I had hoped they’d dry outside but it’s not looking promising.
Then I will enjoy a few hours of drawing, bliss.
Wishing you all a peaceful day 🌹

grandMattie Wed 26-Feb-25 05:35:51

Good morning from Bristol. I5 has rained all night and the weather is as vile as predicted.

I had a productive morning yesterday, doing all sorts, including my asking/ironing and shortening my new trousers.

There were a few people waiting outside the (one man) cafe, so I went to the nearby library and did a few bits of shopping before going back for the WI book group. No one had arrived. Apparently, the Tuesday 25th booked was in March! Ah well…

This morning, the usual morning prayers , then FAB cafe. I baked last week, so just need to take the stuff in today. I hope there is good attendance despite the weather.

Prayers for the sick and anxious, specially MD.

Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩🫂💐
