Is the building listed Marydoll ?
I guess if it is it can't be demolished.
Your church sounds busy and well used.
A beautiful listed church was sold recently near me to a company which
trains people to work at heights!
The congregation was dwindling so 3 churches have combined now.
Good morning all. Just a quick hello as I haven't read any posts yet. It's such a glorious day that I just 'got going' from the start. Oh the joys of Spring!
Actually tomorrow is the first day of meteorological Spring. March is coming in like a lamb - which doesn't bode well for the end of the month!
Yesterday I sat out by the pond for about half an hour before the cold sent me back indoors and hope to do the same today. I find sitting there watching the fish the most calming of activities - a meditation in fact. What with that and tai chi I must be one of the calmest people on the planet 😊.(Or the laziest?)
Nothing else of import to say really. Just off down to the town to put the tai chi money into the bank and then, as usual, the day is mine to enjoy
I hope you all enjoy your days too and the poorlies begin to feel the benefits of more sunshine ☀️🌷🪻🌱

Good grief. Who would have believed that I a supposedly maths co-ordinator could not write, £1,500,000!!!
Well Mdol, your mistake made me smile this morning.
It is cheaper to knock down the church, and build a new one than repair it.
It needs to be taken back to the bare bones. It is a large church and an icon in our town, as Borrheid will confirm. It is heartbreaking.
Anyway, the sun is shining, DH has put out the washing and I am off to brave the supermarket after taking the last anti nausea pill I possess and the uselessmedication for my mouth.
I seem to be all over the place this morning and the pedant within, cannot cope with all my typos and spelling errors.🤣

Good morning from a sunny NE where it is still frosty.
Had a lovely day with DD and SIL, did the grocery shopping and had a leisurely lunch at home.
DD helped me with income tax which had to be paid online, I like a second pair of eyes in case I make a mistake.
While we were on the government portal I renewed my driving licence, my goodness the last three years have flown over.
When we had finished DD increased the size of the font on my laptop, she thinks it will be helpful.
For dinner we cooked fish and chips, vegan for DD, washed down with an excellent Sancerre.
I was sad to hear DD was on sick leave, I thought she had taken a few days holiday.
Quiet day today.

Lovely sunny good morning to all , the brightness cheers me up ☀️
Off to painting shortly , it’s been a busy week , so I slept ok last night
Marydoll. Knocking the Church down seems so drastic , is it a circular building ?
A local one here was mote or less demolished and built up again some years ago , but I’m not sure it could be afforded now , it is sad
Good morning from misty N Bucks where it already feels as if the sun will burn that off before long.
After the gardener worked wonders on my border yesterday -it’s amazing what a clean edge to the lawn can do (but still too wet to cut the grass) - and a bit of clearing the dead stuff, this morning I’m having a chap to power wash the patio and paths.
Yes I could do it myself and it’s quite satisfying seeing the colour come back to the paving stones, but it also means lots of sweeping up the moss which the birds seem to drop off the roof and moving lots of pots , so I’m wimping out.
Shopping delivered and put away so I’m enjoying a coffee before the next bit.
Got things to take to the post, return to M&S and generally buzz around today. Perhaps I’m waking up from my hibernation?
That’s a lot of money to restore your church Marydoll, I take it you meant £150,000 and not million? Or maybe you did- things cost so much these days.
Wishing some 🌞🌞🌞in your lives today , along with respite and recovery to all those who are poorly.
Good morning from a very bright but cold day today here on the east coast of Fife,
Mick sorry to hear about you’re number2’s go on to Amazon get yourself a kyle for your bed they come in real handy - I should know I’ve had the dreaded Noro virus.
Take care my friend
Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Spent yesterday clearing a section in my spare room, it used to be DSON’s room, to move piles of music into it from my dining room. There is a collision in there of music and art stuff.
Today to art group and to return some specs as the gradient tint is not right.
Thoughts to all and Mick, good advice here, time for action🌺
Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, where it is 2°C.
Mick, if you have have got to the point, where you need to make those preparations, just in case, then you must speak to your GP. I cannot understand why you are reluctant to do that, especially when those who are concerned about you, are constantly urging you to seek help.
Llfl, you sound as if you are having a wonderful time!!
I have been wakened by a text from DS1, DIL is unwell, so we are on the school run again. It's been a busy old week.
Thank goodness the sun is shining!
I am exhausted after a full on, but enjoyable day yesterday. We had a visit to the park, followed by tea and scones in the café. Well I didn't have a scone, my mouth is still horrendously painful and once again, dinner my favourite spaghetti vongole, went in the bin. However, BabyD had a scone and demanded papa's too.
The Park was full of wagging tails and between the swings, the food and the dogs, BabyD was in heaven!
The café was initially empty, then it began to quickly fill up. I knew every single person, who came in. The original quiet man DH's face was a picture, when they all came over to talk.😂 He knew we would be there for ages.😂
BabyD, performed for the audience and in between stuffing food in her mouth, blew kisses to everyone! 😍
# very smug gran.
BabyD is at that stage of wanting everything her way. She is very strong and fell yesterday, trying to get my walking stick, taking papa down with her. I got the fright of my life, made even worse when I saw how shocked DH was.
He was very lucky, but hurt his back trying not to fall on Baby
It left me quite unsettled, I suddenly realised that he is no longer the fit and strong man, I rely on. He has declined quite quickly.
We had parked in the church car park and we went in to see my friend, who was cleaning the church. Before I knew it, I was surrounded by the cleaners, asking for cleaning materials and justified complaints about the roof, which is leaking in multiple areas.
I said I wasn't on shift 😉 and would deal with it today! It looks as if we may need to knock down the church, it has been neglected for far too long. The parishioners are understandably upset.
I spent hours on Sunday, cleaning up the mess from the ceiling, which had come down. The estimate to refurbish is £150, 000,000 + and rising. There is no way, we can raise that amount, even with a part loan from the Diocese. 🙁
Until a few weeks ago, we had three options after building surveys were carried out, sadly I fear it is now too late.
For our poorlies, Auntiflo, GG and anyone (including myself), I may have missed, I pray today is a gentle one.
Enjoy your day folks, whatever your plans.
Gingster good luck with your flash mob tomorrow, it sounds like great fun.
BlueSapphire 🌹
No Ashcombe? Or have I missed her..
Good morning from a cold and foggy midlands. It looks frost out there.
Hope you feel better soon Mick.
A day out with DH today. Felt really down yesterday even though the sun was out.
Hugs to all who are suffering in one way or another. 🤗🤗🤗
Good morning everyone from a grey and very misty Northampton,.but 🌞 promised later.
It was a lovely sunny day yesterday which was good as I had longish walks to do; first to the dressmaker to pick up my shortened trousers, then down to the village to the hairdressers, and after that a walk to M&S Food to pick up my order. All in all I managed over 7000 steps and nearly 3 miles!
Was pleased with my hair as it is gradually.taking on its new shape as I grow it. The poor hairdresser had to listen to me wittering on about my DH (who died 7 years ago yesterday) for most of the time! Thankfully I found mostly happy memories to talk about, including our wedding, and managed to find a wedding photo on my phone to show her.
Three dance classes this morning, then hopefully coffee afterwards with a fellow dancer. Nothing planned for this afternoon except to wrap DS's birthday presents and write his card ready for tomorrow.
Thank you for yesterday's kind messages, they meant a lot to me.
Good morning. A frosty start here in N. Bucks.
Very good and interesting day at the Museum yesterday.
Our friends from Devon may be going home today or maybe tomorrow.
After losing a house shortly after Christmas, DD2 found an other and is hoping to move by April. Luckily her buyers held on. So fingers crossed .
No definite plans yet for today apart from coffee with our friends and seeing what they have decided.
Good wishes to all.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's 1°C and misty.
Bother as I'm going to bus to Edinburgh today and walk round the Botanic gardens with my friend from the far north who's staying for a few days. 🌞 was forecast.
Before that I have to book a home report. This house business is getting serious.
I hope the rain doesn't spoil the celebrations FGT
Enjoy your day out Kalu
Thinking of our missing GM posters today.
Good morning from County Durham.
Yesterday was a beautiful day, enough sunshine to lift the spirits. I enjoyed my walk across the field track to the surgery in the next village. Just a yearly health check with bloods taken etc. Results should appear today, fingers crossed all OK. I'm going to have to watch my diet as my weight seems to have crept up over the past year. Why does it become so much harder to control as you get older? Back to the Weightwatchers cookbooks plus more exercise. I'll keep on trying.
Not much planned for today other than bedroom tidying then maybe into the garden to examine the flowerbeds.
I love Friday's, that Friday feeling when you're looking forward to the weekend has never left me, even though it's over ten years now since I last worked. I'm forever grateful I was one of the lucky ones who could afford to retire early. I've been fortunate enough to have been able to spend so much time watching five of my six GC growing up (I was only 45 when GS1 was born) and will never take for granted the places I've visited or the experiences I've had in that time. My recent 70th birthday has obviously put me in a reflective mood this week.
Wishing all a peaceful day and hope some of that sunshine comes your way too.
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 0° and dry. There are signs of frost on my neighbour's roof. Susan I'm glad putting your mum's house up for sale wasn't as painful as you feared and that she seems to have settled.
Yesterday I was at the lawyer signing an insurance bond application. Then bought a picture book for next week's World Book Day where I'm reading to the infants. It's called The Comet and is a lovely story about moving home and accepting change. Then I went to the furniture shop and bought a new bed for dgs2 when both boys stay over. It's exactly the same as the one already in, so no fights over that. (Ha, we'll see) In the afternoon I worked in the school library for a couple of hours, labelling and re-shelving books. Then I went home and had a nap.
Today I have an early Tesco delivery due, then I have nothing planned. I think I'll get housework done and maybe visit the library for new books. Have a good day all.
Good morning all from the Black country where it is dull but dry, the wind appears to have dropped so it may be a little warmer if I venture out.
DH has a telephone appointment with his diabetic nurse at midday, will need to be around so I know what they are saying DH only half listens.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find a little bit of ☀️.
Good morning all and it’s bright but chilly here in Essex. A bit of a frost too 🥶.
Yesterday was lovely to have dgd1 home for a few days and Dd and I met her for lunch - delicious curry at Wetherspoons.
Today we have our regular lunchtime catchup with our old pals and then back home to watch some tv and chill out. It’s been a busy week .
I hope your gym visit goes well GG and I look forward to seeing you on Monday. I’ll message you.
Take care all 🌱
Morning from a bright frosty S Hants, we too are off on a family weekend today Susan to Dorset and on the way back I’ll show MrJ my Grandmas cottage by the sea! Enjoy your weekend.
I bet you’ll really enjoy that trip out today GG13 it’ll do you the world of good.
I’m hoping you all have this glorious, but chilly weather, good to see the sun
🦩🦩
Good Morning from Durham, where it’s blue sky and sunny.
