Hi Blossoming 👋👋👋

Blossoming Mon 03-Mar-25 12:10:36

Good morning all from cloudy Lancashire. I had such a good night’s sleep, I seem to be sleeping a lot at the moment when my ailments allow.

Happy Monday 🌹

I’m so sorry Ashcombe and hope you’re speedily seen and your health recovers, I’ll miss your posts, x

Grandmabatty Mon 03-Mar-25 11:31:47

I've just read that Ash is in pain. I'm sorry to hear that and hope you recover soon. Taichinan my best wishes to your dear grandson and his travail.

Taichinan Mon 03-Mar-25 10:55:14

Thank you FGT and *hollysteers". It's good to be able to offload on here instead of maintaining that stuff upper lipped smile. He's a strong young man, with amazing positivity and so much to fight and live for x

Good morning Mick and all from 8°C cloudy sand dunes, northwest coast.
Very nice day yesterday, the symphony concert was superb and it was good to meet the solo pianist for the piano concerto afterwards and I bumped into an ex singing student I hadn’t seen for a long time who is now an actor and doing very well.
The only disappointment was the meal beforehand, dry chicken, chips and no greenery on the plate, not even a little salad.

An at home day today and I’m thinking of you Taichinan💐
plus thought to Ashcombe GM and all🌺

Morning from Connel where my grandchildren and I are looking after each other. They are off to school now and I am about to have an early mid morning snooze after not sleeping at all well. Yesterday was really cold when the dog and I did our perambulation and I’ve been struggling a bit with what I thought was my allergic rhinitis but am now thinking is the cold the world has had and I have been lucky enough to miss.

Never mind the children are, as ever, a delight to my heart, I feel so lucky to be able to spend time like this with them.

I’m going to close my eyes now and if I can get a short nap I’ll catch the 11.30 bus into Oban and treat myself to a snack in one of the many lovely coffee shops.

The best of wishes to all, especially those needing a bit of a boost.

Good morning all from a sunny, breezy and chilly Angus coast. The towels are in the machine and will soon be able to be hung out for a blow. A perfect March day.
Sorry you're having problemsgrandmattie - eyes and heating are so essential!
I'm glad you're feeling cheerier today Madeleine. How lovely to get so much pleasure from music!
News from my grandson was not good yesterday. After finishing his round of chemo on Friday he was admitted to hospital on Saturday evening with a high temperature and is still there until he finishes a course of antibiotics. I know this is 'par for the course' but even so you worry. It doesn't help that I've been here before when DD's husband was ill and that didn't have a good outcome. I keep reminding myself that all cancers are different.
Anyway, the little family of three are now going to move in with DS and DiL so that when these ups and downs happen there is always someone there for Ollie. I'm so glad they have decided to do that.
Anyway, I can think of nothing else at the moment so will go off for a potter and wish you all a happy day in the ☀️ x

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞🌞 Northampton,.but I can see frost on the front grass.

Yesterday was glorious, but still quite chilly. DD dropped me off at home around 10am after my overnight stay with all the family at DS's. I had a late brunch of.beans on toast then was out in the afternoon to see 'Jesus Christ Superstar ' at the cinema. It was wonderful, very much a modern take on the story with a present day setting, with Israel portrayed as a Roman police state. Andrew Lloyd Webber's music of course was excellent and familiar and the main cast singers just amazing. However, some people did not like the modern interpretation and walked out of the cinema after about 20 minutes. I, as usual, was moved to tears at the ending, (which of course I knew!), and was glad the lights were still down.

No yoga today, as our teacher is enjoying warmer sunshine in Morocco, so not sure what to do today. Will probably wash the kitchen floor and do some washing, then spend the afternoon catching up with weekend papers, which, being out both days, I have not had time to read. Will probably get something home-made out of the freezer for dinner.

Wishing those feeling poorly some relief, and a pleasant day to all.

Good morning from a sunny midlands. Sciatica really bad this morning. A bit of a walk and some shopping.
Hugs to all.

Kalu Mon 03-Mar-25 08:42:27

Good morning all. Patches of blue skies, sunny and dry in Glasgow this morning.

DD1 will be here shortly to drop off her vacuum for me to use until my own is returned/replaced, no idea when?? Millie dog who is still slowly recovering from ligament surgery will be with her to pad around my garden to excercise on different levels and surfaces. Thankfully she is past the ‘zoomies’, tearing around stage or this wouldn’t be happening. It’s a joy to have her here.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Good morning all- hard frost last night, Ooh it WAS cold, but another gorgeous wall to wall 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 morning here in N Bucks.
Got to get some things to the PO this morning and then Book Club this afternoon. We’re reading Dust Child about Amerasian children of US soldiers in Vietnam. It’s a fascinating subject but IMO the book is very badly written so I’ve found it hard to persevere. The language is immature and comparable to “chick lit”, really facile. The author is Vietnamese so I should be more tolerant I suppose but it’s been hard going.
Wishing you all a pleasant day and week to come.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. The weather is much more Spring- like but still cold.

DD and family came again yesterday with the dog. It was supposed to be a declutter again but we were tempted out by the sunshine. Coffee in the garden. DSiL lit my fire and brought in wood. He left with a pile of my books so sort of helping.

The DGD have both been selected to sing at the provincial Mòd this year.
The Gaelic music festival.

Today lots of things on my to-do/ tick list.

Frustrating GM. Mind you my heating doesn't behave properly and I can get someone in to fix it but the cost is prohibitive.

Enjoy the better weather everyone.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Mon 03-Mar-25 08:33:11

Good morning everybody from Málaga. Grey clouds again, rain forecast midday, some sunshine this afternoon. A mixed bag. I don’t think we’ll go out apart from possibly coffee or lunch in Juan’s below. The cafe/bar closes tomorrow for three weeks annual shut down and so it might be nice to go in and say ‘Hope to be back soon!’. 🤞

GrannySomerset Mon 03-Mar-25 08:27:05

Yet another serious frost and brilliant sunshine, perhaps a repeat of yesterday which was glorious. Church yesterday morning and a visit to a nearby NT house in the afternoon so a busy and happy day. DSiL has taken DD to catch a train to Plymouth where she has a meeting today, he is then off to visit a cousin near Monmouth and they will be back here for supper. I need to spend the morning trying to persuade the builder to come to look at the worsening leak in the kitchen. Not looking forward to it.

Good morning from a frosty, bright sunny Suffolk where I hope to be able to sit in the summerhouse later.

I retired to bed soon after briefly posting yesterday as I felt nauseous and wobbly. DH diagnosed laryngitis which he had a couple of years ago and said one symptom is extreme tiredness. That I certainly had and was sick too. I don’t think that has happened since I was a child!

I am supposed to be meeting a friend for coffee but think I’ll put it off. Although I feel more normal today I feel it is sensible to have a quiet restful day at home.

Hope all have a sunny day.

Sar I am sorry your granddaughter is so unwell again.
