Auntieflo (A message from her DD)

I am Auntieflo’s DD, and I introduced her to this site some years ago, as I enjoy Mumsnet- (under another name.)

Auntieflo wanted her friends on here (Greenfinch and others) to know that she has been quite unwell for some time and was admitted to hospital over 2 weeks ago. She has now sadly deteriorated and is for Palliative Care only.

She has been referred to the local hospice, so if any of you pray, please pray that a space can be found for her soon as it will be a much more peaceful environment for her there than the hospital.

She is currently in a 2 bed bay, and I have said I could read her any replies that she gets when I visit again tomorrow.

Thank you to anyone who has chatted and met up with her over the years.

So sorry to hear of this. I met with Auntflo at some meetings, and always read her comments on here. So good that you were able to be with her at the end. What more can most of us ask for. Condolences to her family and all those close to her. Sadness at death is the price we pay for Love in life.
It is very good of you to take time to keep us all informed.

I am so sad to hear your news and my thoughts are with you at this time. Having met Auntieflo several times and corresponded regularly I know how much she valued your support and that of your DH. Condolences also to her DH who I believe she married at the age of 19 and so it was a very long marriage. She frequently spoke of how much he did for her in the last months and how much she relied on his help. She spoke of all her family with great affection and I believe she was still knitting a teddy for her great grandson not so long ago. I am privileged to have known her. Thanks Auntieflo .

Do not know the lady but I will pray for peace for her and an excellent hospice place. My father was in a hospice and they are nothing short of marvellous God bless you all at this difficult time x
