Auntieflo (A message from her DD)

Such sad news Grannylicious - I only realisedlast week I hadn’t seen her posting for a while when she let us know she was in hospital. Hope her hospice spot is on its way 🥰

I'm sorry to see this news. My very best wishes to Auntieflo and to you and your family Grannylicious. Hopefully, she will soon be more comfortable in a hospice.

Your mum was very welcoming when I first started posting on gransnet.A kind and gentle lady.

I pray that a bed can be found soon at the hospice and will keep your mum and your family in my thoughts and prayers.x

This is such sad news. I still have the many PM’s between dear Auntieflo and myself. She was so supportive during some difficult times I was going through.

My heart goes out to you all and I will also pray for a Hospice place to become available and that Auntieflo can be kept as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

I have said thanks to Auntieflo in the past for her lovely recipes which I still make. I am so very sorry to hear this but hope she will be settled soon give her a hug from me.

Dear Grannylicious - what an emotional and difficult time for you and your dear Mum (and family). I know how wonderful a hospice is and how calm.

I pray your mum is given a room soon and that she is peaceful and pain free.

I’m so very sad - we were chatting and joking only a few days ago and I’m shocked that her symptoms have clearly deteriorated since then. I won’t tell you again how loved you are, Auntieflo because I’ve already done that. But, I will tell your Daughter and I bet you know, Grannydelicious, what a warrior your Mum is. She’s always good humoured and posts concerns for others, never complaining about her lot. A Hospice place must come soon and with it some time, excellent care, kindness and peace should be such a relief after hospital life, I’m sure.

I remember the name well. I'm so sorry that she's so unwell. Thank you for thinking of us during this very stressful time.

I remember Auntieflo posting about her diagnosis and have always been glad, since then, that she was able to keep posting occasionally and letting us know how she was. I admired her openness and matter of fact attitude and her continuing interest in, and concern for other posters. I will pray for her and for her family. I hope a hospice bed becomes available for her and that her last days are peaceful with good as well as sad memories for her family. Thank you for letting us know.

I remember the relief of getting my darling Dh out of hospice and into the hospice. I pray that a place will be found for Auntieflo very soon.
