do you recall watching Hard days night when it was first released?

I remember going to see it at the cinema, and was very disappointed.

Thought it was rubbish really.

Oh I remember it so well! My dad took us. I loved the Beatles- they reminded me of my big brothers (four of them!) and I became a life-long fan.

They made me laugh and I loved the music- what's not to like?

To be fair the whole Grandad story was a bit silly...

I don't remember any connection with juggling though- I have seen the film several times!

I went to see it with my sister and we both loved it. Still got the LP!

It was the B film made to accompany the cinema distribution of A Hard Days Night.

Didn’t see the film until a few years later, wasn’t impressed, I think that most films made as a vehicle for musicians is always pretty awful. Elvis is a good example of this.
But for die hard fans who cares, they just want to see their idol/idols.

I went to see it at the cinema and loved it. To be fair, I would have loved anything involving the Beatles at that stage in my life. I don’t think it was a masterpiece of cinematography.

I didn’t like it as it had Wilfred Bramble as Paul’s grandfather.

I don't recall that. I just wanted to gaze and gaze on my idols. I loved it...

The only B movie I ever remember was the famous Monty Python “More F…….g Gondolas” that accompanied The Life Of Brian.

I loved it at the time because I loved the Beatles. But I started to watch it on TV recently and got bored after about ten minutes.

I remember they joked about Wilfred Bramble being a clean old man as his son in Steptoe kept calling him a dirty old man. George's future wife was in it if I remember rightly.

Yes, I think it only worked if you were obsessed with The Beatles. I remember sitting through it for the second showing. Do you remember when they used to follow with the film straight away and you could sit and watch it again without paying?

I definitely remember being taken to see it by my late brother when he was a teenager and I was about 3.
We loved the Beatles in our noisy house so I literally grew up with them….and the ‘Stones..and then The Beach Boys…and all the usual suspects😀

The films were just a vehicle (like they needed one) and a bit of cheesy sixties humour. Happier days imo.
