Good morning from a sunny W Kent. A good trip to the local garden centre yesterday, of course we came out with more than we had intended. A FaceTime with DS who was sorting out his garden.
Chat to DB this morning and then usual lunch and crosswords later

Good Morning Sunday 9th March 2025
(40 Posts)Good morning Michael and all GNs. We are promised another sunny day today. Yesterday I did a small food shop at Aldi and then did some laundry, cleaned out the inside of my very mucky car and did some gardening. I had a lot of prunings and moss to get rid of and the grass will need cutting soon. I must remember to sign up to the green bin scheme before the end of the month. Today I have nothing much to do, so I’ll go for a walk round the top of the valley this afternoon.

Have the best day you can, folks.
Good morning all. A foggy start to the day in Glasgow but we are promised sunshine again today.
A day of sunshine yesterday and milder weather had me opening windows to allow some fresh air throughout the house. Also no need for a jacket outdoors and a washing hung out to dry. A perfect spring day. Hopefully another sunny day doing whatever I please. The sciatica which started last December is still bothering me, exercises haven’t helped but at least I no longer need the heavy duty pain relief of Amitriptyline etc. Time will heal🤷♀️

baubles, man flu which is even worse…..for you. 😉
Have a pleasant Sunday all.
Good morning Mick and all from a brightening Sunnyside sand dunes northwest coast.
Great day yesterday, out to the next village and bring and buy in church hall. Bought a lucky bag of jewellery for £1 with some choice pieces therein. Joined by bookgroup bore and her husband as I had a coffee.
Then into the adjoining park and lovely carpets of crocuses. Sat in the sunshine and it was so warm. Had my lunch in the cafe there.
Today a coach trip to Snowdonia and fine weather forecast.
So sorry to hear your news Bonnybanko🌺
@ Baubles - Tuesday is also my D’s birthday - her 50th. Where did those years go?🎂 🎉 🎊
Good Morning from Durham. I’ve also had a night of weird dreams featuring a disastrous Christmas with the DD of my poorly friend!
A great afternoon yesterday with DGS2 at the farm. Sunny and warm (ish) so the place was heaving!
It’s so foggy here now, I can only see the outline of the house over the road. So I’ve no idea how things will pan out.
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning from Shropshire.Another warm sunny day forecast.
DH and the children enjoyed a day in the garden.I lurked indoors as the medication I am on means I have to stay out of direct sunlight🙄
Today we are meeting DD2, SIL and B at my mum’s house. We will have lunch out then visit mum.
Bonnybanko💐
Have the best day you can everyone🦩
I had hoped to try a Lenten break but like chocolate, the GM thread has proved a temptation too far.
Good morning from the madhouse where it looks set fair and I am keeping everything crossed for a sunny day.
Why the madhouse?
Six grandchildren and one D overnight! Need I say more?
D3 bless her has just brought me TIB but I know she was up at 5.30 with her older boy and he was doing colouring in the kitchen. 5 out of the 6 are now up, eldest GS, fortunately being a teenager is likely to be in bed for a few hours yet.
(Hoping that half an hour of Disney+ will give us some breathing space).
Rosie is well out of it in kennels but there will be 2 dogs later along with the rest of the extended family to lunch (20)
Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday !
Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.
Aiming to do very little today apart from lunch and the papers.
Have the best day possible all.
Morning all from a dry looking West Oxfordshire.
It is lovely to be home after my antipodean travels. I was in the house by 8 am yesterday and managed to stay awake, apart from the odd drifting off, until 8 pm when I went to bed. Falling asleep over dinner isn’t a good look!
We are having lunch out today at one of our favourite places.
OH is a little nervous about his operation on Wednesday, but he’s only staying in hospital one night.
Have a good Sunday everyone. I will try and stay awake until 9 pm today.
Good morning from s somerset, sunny, bright and breezy today
Lots done outdoors yesterday, heavy lifting, lots of standing, tip run and making 36 new strawberry plants from older soggy plants. I found 2 vine weavils so it was a timely process
I did get backache but struggled through to the end, best of all I accommodated all the heavy sodden soil into my front border and that was far enough. New plantlets are now into new fibrous soil in small pots and they will go into new troughs at home. They have pretty flowers and no runners but normal-sized tasty strawberries
Today is RnR but I will do a bit more wrt probiotic multiplication in my kitchen. I ordered some more small jars for my fridge. Today I have hm luscious creamy kefir yoghurt, also an unusual creamy thicker Lactocabillus probiotic which is restorative and a fermented beetroot pickle, not forgetting the kimchi My kitchen makes a good lab
I do need to get a some more seeds sown, spring is definitely here and won`t wait
Have a good day
Good morning from foggy South Lanarkshire.
It was glorious here yesterday, I could really feel spring in the air and all around me on my walks people were smiling and lifting their faces to the sun. What a tonic.
Very sad Bonnybanko.
We may pop over to DD’s later, I’m not sure if DGD is having her birthday tea today or on her actual birthday on Tuesday. Depends on netball training I think.
DH thankfully doesn’t appear to have the full blown lurgy but isn’t the best patient with this sort of thing. I’m drawing on all my reserves of patience.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning everyone it’s cold here on the east coast of Fife.
Yesterday was spent in hospital with my sil who’s really very poorly the drs are now only going to give her palliative care, her priest was in praying for her yesterday with all her family around
it’s so sad but I’m afraid so inevitable 🥲🥲🥲🥲
Enjoy today my friends who knows what’s a round the corner
Good morning from a mild, dry Bristol.
Had a better night, but full of extraordinary dreams. I normally dream a lot.
Iris’s afternoon tea went well according to DD; I hope they managed to raise a lot of money for her disabled charity.
The coffee and chat was served in a room off the main church because the body of the church had been hired by a local choir. They were holding all day rehearsals before a concert of Hayden and JC Bach masses in the evening.
We were packed in this little room but it meant that people, rather than going near their friends, went where there was a seat and chatted to their neighbours, which was a good thing…
The rest of the day was quiet. I was very tired - having to transfer everything, difficult access to water, scrambling over chairs to get tea/coffee to the punters, is exhausting!
My neighbour was delighted with her cushion cover, less so with the rugby results; she is Welsh.
Today will be quiet after church. Possibly read/chatin the sun if I can find somewhere out of the wind.
Have a blessed Sunday. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start this morning in brackley.
Yesterday , I caught the bus to Bicester , did my shop ,got some cash and because of cycling on TV returned home on the same bus , which even surprised the driver.
Today an easy day at home , a mix of TV and housework .
Health OK
Take Care,
Mick
