Someone called 📻 station and said no maltesers in the supermarkets .have anyone else seen this?

Love em! …I suck the chocolate off first, could eat a box full of….and have done.🤣

Love Maltesers but haven't had any in ages. May put my coat on now and pop to the cornershop! I have devised four different ways of eating them!

Mojack26 Tue 11-Mar-25 20:02:08

🤣🤣 Is that a problem?🤣🤣

Vintagegirl Tue 11-Mar-25 19:02:48

I learnt the hard way that maltesers have gluten in them (Barley)... another coeliac herr.

love0c Tue 11-Mar-25 18:01:14

Tesco and Aldi had plenty. I'm guessing that was because of the price of them!!

Lilyflower Tue 11-Mar-25 17:01:58

I love Maltesers. Waitrose used to give us a personalised 50p off token and the DH and I used to redeem the voucher to buy a bag for 30p and scoff the lot there and then.

Now a small bag costs the best part of a pound I won’t bother.

I have noticed that there is anew choc bar out called Neapolitan kitkat but can’t find it anywhere, have also noticed that caramac has gone once again, they took it off shelves brought it back and now it’s disappeared again

wibblywobblywobblebottom Tue 11-Mar-25 16:50:46

I eat Maltesers regularly and I haven't noticed any shortages.

IamMaz Tue 11-Mar-25 16:24:52

I LOVE Maltesers. My son bought me a big bag of them the other day. It’s strange how I think the ones in a box taste better!

Lizzie44 Tue 11-Mar-25 15:15:31

I wouldn't bat an eyelid if I heard there were no Maltesers on supermarket shelves. On the other hand, if I heard the same about 70% dark chocolate bars I would be out on the streets protesting.

We used to eat them by the box in the office. The favourite trick was put a couple in your mouth before taking a sip of tea or coffee they popped

jobieP Tue 11-Mar-25 15:09:25

Do you crunch them or let them melt in your mouth?

Dottydots Tue 11-Mar-25 14:22:00

Right, everyone. Stop all this talk. My mouth is watering so much that I might drown myself. Oh, If only I were well enough to get to the sweet shop!

Crossstitchfan Tue 11-Mar-25 14:21:06

Further to my last message(s), I still love them though, sickly or not, and suffer the gummed up teeth!

Crossstitchfan Tue 11-Mar-25 14:19:00

Forgot to say that Maltesers are my favourite too and the family buys them as part of my birthday, Christmas and Easter presents (had a Maltesers filled Easter egg last year)

I daren't buy them!

When I was young I loved Crunchie bars (no wonder I have fillings). Are they still available?

They are! I used to love them but too sickly fir me now and they gum up my mouth! Grandson loves them though

Redhead56 Tue 11-Mar-25 14:09:46

I did eat them but these days I rarely eat chocolate. Now I am craving them after reading this post!

Movinghouseplanner Tue 11-Mar-25 13:59:33

I can't eat them
I am a Coeliac and would love some, but alas I can't have them

I love Maltesers - dh gives me a big box every 🎄and birthday, and I can tell you, they don’t last long! A dd and a Gdd are almost equally addicted.
I hardly ever buy them myself - I’d be like the side of a house.

I view them (Maltesers) as "slimming" chocolates .Even so if I had them regularly I'd be a house-sized" as well.
Oh the delusion......🤣🤣🤣🤣

creakingandchronic Tue 11-Mar-25 13:46:16

No doubt someone will be jumping on the bandwagon and selling on eBay for a ridiculous price

Charleygirl5 Mon 10-Mar-25 23:15:11

Allira you almost need a mortgage. They were for sale today £4! Not a huge box either. Cadburys and co. are weaning me off chocolate all by themselves.

Oh, production moved from Keynsham to Poland in 2010.
Another broken promise by Cadbury's then-new boss.

It's a no, then ☹

Nandalot Mon 10-Mar-25 23:12:23

Is it like the Caramac scam? My DH , who cannot eat chocolate because of migraines, loves Caramac. They said they were stopping g production and then the price of those left, when you could find them, shot up dramatically. After a while they were re-introduced for ‘a short while’ and then the same again. We now buy a load when they are ‘in’ to stock up. He doesn’t have a sweet tooth but for some reason loves the oh so sweet taste of Caramac!

Once they’re opened it’s hard to stop dipping in and I have been known to only stop when I feel a bit 🤢
