No use crying over spilt wine!

Did you know that if you drop a part-opened large bottle of cola onto the floor, it becomes the equivalent of a backwardly jet-propelled rocket, which leaves a brown trail on a pale cream carpet 😳🫣

No drink is involved in my dozy story! I was sitting in the aisle seat of a bus and dozed off, the bus turned a corner and I keeled over and found myself lying on a strange man's knee - I don't know who got the bigger shock!!

I feel asleep eating a curry .
Nothing like turmeric to cause yellow stains on clothes .

often with tea squash and also one night a full plate of macaroni cheese! I blame insomnia, do not sleep well at night, think that 5 hours is marvellous. Been like this for years now but trouble is I often nod off at odd moments when I sit down for too long

Well a funny incident but not a drink, I dozed off whilst my GD had been put down for her nap holding her toy hamster which when it moves even slightly emits a squeak. So it squeaked when I must have moved as I dozed, I woke up, shrieked and threw the mouse across the room.
Thankfully my GD wasn’t awoken by this but my OH had to try desperately hard to suppress his laughter in case he did wake her up.
Has become a family staple at gatherings 🙄

Yes my DH, at least twice, and it WAS red wine!

Back in the 70s -when we identified as middle class and we had friends round. Husband was pouring red wine from a decanter when the whole thing slipped through his fingers & onto the new carpet. 😱 Friends said I had a cloth out mopping it up before it hit the ground 😂

I once had a lift home in a mini bus after a works party with a full glass of red wine in my hand. Dozed off a few times but didn’t spill a drop! 😊🍷

Several times I’ve fallen asleep with a glass of red wine in my hand.

Good thing you weren't holding a lit cigarette. That happened to a former neighbor of mine.

I do that often but usually with tea or coffee and after I have been out for a boozy lunch with my friend.

I’m with you littletoaster. It’s happened more than once with wine (fortunately white ), tea (usually cold) and water. Not weekly but maybe every 2-3 months. Mr C takes whatever I’m holding out of my hand as my eyes close, sometimes he’s not quick enough 😂.

My Nan used to fall asleep with a fag on, we used to have to watch her like a hawk

That's the worst bit it was my first one 🤣 I've had a long day lol

Not wine but tea. It was half a mug and lukewarm by then, so I wasn’t scalded .
