The law of probabilities dictates that the mug you use most often is the one most likely to get broken. Aka Sod’s Law.

Why is it that I break my favourite mug, not one of the older ones? I have a cupboard full of mugs which are too thick, too heavy, not comfortable to hold. I have others on the mug tree which I use because they are comfortable but they are older, with a faded pattern or a tiny chip on the side I don’t drink from, yet I had to break my newest, most comfortable mug.
