Oh RosesandLilac your new ‘tiddler’ dog sounds so cute! Imagine the delight of smells being allowed outside! Don’t they say one year for a dog is = to seven of ours? Nearly 50 then and middle aged allowed outside for walks. Aw!

Good morning all. It’s a dreich, wet start this morning in Glasgow.

Such a dreary start to the day, I am having coffee in bed with the cat curled up purring noisily beside me. I will start the day in my own time whenever that may be. 🤷‍♀️

There just seems to be no respite at all for you Marydoll I hope someone in your medical team find a solution for such a painful mouth.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and wet. The smell of the air is glorious, all spring like.
Yesterday the boys were mostly good. We went to a 'paurk'- dgs2's pronunciation - where they showed olympic quality on the beams. Then painted Easter eggs in the afternoon. In between dgs1 played with his Nintendo switch while dgs2 made a shoe shop in my bedroom. Later was a bit more challenging because they were both tired and consequently grumpy. However, bath time and bed time came and went without incident.
This morning I heard wee voices at half six. I, of course, haven't slept well. They got up, full of the joys of life and have had first breakfast. At one point I had them on either side of me, cuddling in. What could be nicer?
I'm not sure what time they will be picked up. It's much too wet for the park as I don't have their wellies here. I'll have to use my ingenuity to pass the time. I think we will make peanut butter cookies. Later, once they are away, I will tidy the mayhem - no point in doing it now- and collapsed on the couch with a gin. Have a good day all

No the passports didn’t arrive hence us going out as per for Sunday lunch with my stepfather. I rang the pub to cancel our reserved table there and booked for the Italian today instead at my stepfather’s request.

Maybe tomorrow? My stepfather made me laugh yesterday when I phoned him.
“You ought to put in a claim against Royal Mail for making you miss your LWW 🍷group on Tuesday!” 😂

Good morning everyone from mid Essex, where it’s mild, cloudy and inclined to rain! Showers forecast for the day. Yesterday I went for a walk, but was too late for my dog walking friends. Changed the bedclothes, including the duvet cover, washed and dried them, will iron the pillowcases and duvet cover later. I don’t bother to iron the fitted sheet! The family were busy yesterday with the usual Saturday classes for the grandchildren then it was the seven year olds birthday party in the afternoon.
DD1 and her family will call in today, in between other commitments. dGD1 is going to an ice skating party in April and has never been before, so they’re going this afternoon to try it out! Hopefully my DSiL will have time to do a couple of things for me that I can’t do, putting things that I don’t use much onto high shelves etc, I don’t do step ladders any more, my balance isn’t too good!

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s raining steadily. We are sat enjoying TIB and slept so well after our babysitting stint last night.

Himself is sat beside me watching the Grand Prix live from China. It’s just about to start. He’s a big Lewis Hamilton fan. I think it’s boring - Scalextric for Adults!

This afternoon we’re eating with my stepfather at HIS favourite family owned Italian restaurant where I always enjoy beef stroganoff made with fillet steak - it’s delicious.

Ha! I’ve just had a message on my iPad. L’il Miss has taken a selfie in her pj’s and sent this:
“Can I come to your house grandma!
If yes, text mummy and say does (her name) want to come over?”

Then I got a text from her mum “Just seen this! She’s a monkey!”.

Of course she can. 🥰 these times when grandma is a VIP don’t last forever do they so we have to make the most of them. She’s being dropped off here at 9am by her dad as he goes to ⚽️ with the Boy Wonder. I’d best make my porridge then! and get dressed as I have to go down in the lift to meet her at the entrance.

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy, mild corner of Somerset.

Loft is as sorted as I can get it although I may re-pack Mr C’s four large boxes of jigsaws into transparent containers to make retrieval easier. A tip run, a restorative hot drink and some gardening finished the day - and me! My body objects this morning, no matter, I’m very pleased with outcomes and those thumb splints really did help.

Plant feeding this morning before attacking some paperwork. There’s a busy couple of weeks ahead and I like to be sorted.

The forsythia is glowing in a corner of the garden, Spring bulbs are flowering away, the camellia flowers have survived the frosts and the magnolia is just showing colour. For the first time in years I’ve created an Easter tree, blame Blue Peter for that, and put out just a few Easter decorations. Definitely Spring here.

Thinking of everyone with worries of any kind, a special thought for marydoll and a hope that Sunday is kind to us all.

A good day at home yesterday.The grandchildren are away this weekend so a couple of days home alone.We deep cleaned the conservatory and put the Easter decorations up.DH then carried on preparing the veg patch and prepared the greenhouse for washing today.The garden is looking lovely.

A quiet day today🙏🏻DD2 is visiting mum so I am looking forward to her report later.I have to stay away until after my surgery.

Heavy rain on our way back from friends yesterday evening, which did not make for a pleasant motorway journey.
Met DS and the boys while I was shopping yesterday a pleasant surprise so I spent an unexpected hour with them.
I have some new books so may start one of those.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where the weather can only be described as murky. I made a large chicken casserole after lunch yesterday, but then my plans to do some work in the garden were stymied by the mother and father of all rainstorms. Within minutes the road was flooded. DD is running a half marathon today. It’s a tough course and I had hoped for decent weather for her and her friend, but it’s one they do every year and they’ll make the best of it. She and my SiL and GS will be here later this afternoon for a roast dinner.

Good morning from a damp spot in south Glos, the skies are clearing and it’s 9°.
I spent yesterday morning unpacking the bits from our two days away, two dog walks, getting the washing done and generally pottering around. The stair gate is up between the kitchen and living room while the new little dog and Annie get used to each other, she’s a funny little tiddler 😄
More dog walking yesterday afternoon, tiddler has no brakes and poor steering, having not been outside for over 7 years, everything is very exciting and she’s into anything she comes across. I have ordered another harness for her, she has one but it isn’t a good fit but will do for now.
Welsh lamb for dinner 😋, I fancy roasted veggies, purple sprouting broccoli and mint sauce.
Nothing much else planned, another dog walk this afternoon perhaps across the fields?

Good morning from Malta where another windy day is forecast with a high of 22°C.

Had a lovely lunch out yesterday for DD3’s birthday. There were a number of her friends there as well as her in-laws. The boys were good as gold and I even had a walk on the sand with them despite the very strong wind.

Today I need to clean the floors before going to Mass after which the weekly chat with my pal in Leicester.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a dark gloomy morning in Cheshire. The threatened thunderstorm last night didn't arrive, but it was very heavy rain. Yesterday was lovely and the garden has really come to life with the sunshine. I hope the rain didn't batter the camelia and the flowering cherry but I expect it did.

Yesterday was busy with this and that. Made a batch of soup, but decided to investigate the small soup makers as I would prefer not to have a freezer full of the same soup!

Going to visit my sister in hospital this afternoon. I've been staying away until my cold was completely cleared up but will wear a mask anyway. The other patients need to be protected too. She says it's so uncomfortably hot in there and I have a nice little fan to take for her. She tells me there is a Canadian maple leaf posted over her bed. It's apparently a sign that she may have a fall!

Walk with my neighbour every morning, but will not be going in heavy rain. Her little dog won't step out of the door if it's raining!

Hope Marydoll is feeling better and that the FGT's are able to fly today. Wishing all a good day with special thoughts to those with worries or pain.

Chinese takeaway is one of my favourites, Mick, but I enjoyed a Thai takeaway last night.

Yesterday afternoon, I was delighted to find I could drive without difficulty. Unfortunately, I hadn’t realised that Torquay United had a home match. Although we live a good way from the ground, every available space to park on the streets surrounding my home was taken! Luckily, my neighbour was happy for me to park in the short term behind her on site space. First world problem…..!

Good morning from s somerset, dull all day, maybe showers

Busy on the plot for two hours yesterday, my potatoes are planted and overall plans refined on paper. Had a chat with someone again, lovely. I came back with that internal glow, happy and satisfied

Planted another trough of strawberries at home and did some pricking out for my back garden and the 8 leftover potatoes went into 3 garden buckets. Later I fully prepped to make a Mary Berry traybake this morning

Today I have to take the last heavy or bulky things to the plot and then I can clean my car properly. Understandably, the inside is mucky and I will be doing that later. No other plans for today but I will be into RnR later this afternoon

Good morning from Bristol.
The days are getting longer, but we’re reverting back to chillier weather. The magnolias are glorious at the moment and the spring blossom is coming to its peak of beauty.
“Godspell” was brilliant and DGD who played John the Baptist among other roles was very good. She has a very pure soprano voice.
Church and rest today.
