soop has been in touch. She will not be on GN today, I think, as she is unwell. Please carry on your usual kind chatting. soop was saying yesterday what lovely people you all are.
Grannygravy oh no! I'll cross everything in the hope you escape it.
Oh crumbs GG13 here’s hoping…
Hoping all is well, grannyg. Timing definitely not the best!
Oh dear grannygravy I hope you escape it. Two of my granddaughters were a little unwell while we were there last weekend but only for half a day and they didn’t share any germs with the rest of us fortunately.
I hope you have a great break in Spain.

We were in the middle of the big Sports Bar (by the badminton courts) too far from any toilets, so I scooped him up and took him outside on the terrace.
Poor little boy was so embarrassed, the staff and fellow diners were very kind, preferring wet wipes, tissues etc.
‘Evening All’.
I’m feeling a bit jittery. 3 more sleeps until the appointment at Christie’s for the scan result. Every now and again it hits me and I feel sick with worry. We’ve been invited round to our neighbours in half an hour. It’ll do me good to engage in conversation and a glass of wine to take my mind off things for an hour or two. Whatever I’m doing it’s at the back of my mind now, it’s horrible.
FGT it’s horrible waiting for the results, hope your visit with your neighbours takes your mind off it xx
Thank you Blossoming. x
Bless you FGTI know exactly how you feel.Sending lots of positive thoughts and to SueD.🤞🙏
Home for us tomorrow, it’s been a lovely relaxing Easter.Saturday an excellent Chinese meal in Nottingham and yesterday DiL cooked dinner for us and her parents.Today having the leftovers.Thinking of you all and hope you have had a nice Easter.
Hoping that GG13 and her DH have both avoided the lurgy and can enjoy their time in Malaga.
Try not to worry (ha flipping ha!) FGT and enjoy your drinks.
We went shopping to buy DH a new puffer jacket for our holiday - he is quite difficult to please. I also needed some new moisturiser - the one I currently use doesn't seem to keeping the wrinkles at bay.
- and, while I was chatting to the girl, DH bought me a handbag. He's quite a nice chap generally but I was really surprised. Wonder what he's done?
This afternoon we renewed our Sky contract. The woman handling it was really difficult to understand but I think we negotiated a reduction. I count today as a good day!
kittylester DH is not coming with me, I am flying out to meet up with a friend.
Hope you’re ok for your flight in the morning GG13, and the Imp is much better soon, poor thing
Just home now after a volunteering session this morning and then into town this afternoon Thanks for the recommendation for the Sienna jeans SueD, I tried some on in M&S this afternoon and they were a good fit but I’ll need to order the colour I want online. I know exactly what you mean corner some jeans look so good on others but nothing like the same on me 🤣
It must be such an anxious time FGT, I hope you can put your worries to the back of your mind and keep them there. Hoping for very good news on Thursday x
I wear Sienna jeans too, the long straight ones are just right for me.
We’ve had another quiet day apart from my daughter called in and planted 100 snowdrops, a late birthday present.
Leftovers for dinner, quiz later, it’ll be fun!
I have fallen out with several members of my family today.
I may not be around until I get my head around it.
I am not apologising this time
I hope you all find some peace of mind in the coming weeks.
grannygravy poor little boy, just about the worst place to be unwell! But I’m sure he’s not the first and won’t be the last to be ill there. The granddaughters were both in their respective bedrooms when they felt ill, but fortunately weren’t actually sick. We subsequently discovered that the seven year old had a uti and is now on antibiotics.
I hope you have a brilliant holiday with your friend.
fgt I hope you have an enjoyable evening with your neighbours and that the conversation will take your mind off things!
DD1 and family took me to see my godmother today, she’s a cousin of my mum’s and will be 100 in June. Fortunately I haven’t been involved in the organisation of her party. My sister in law and I organised her 90th and were pleased not be asked to do this one! She complained about the noise the granddaughters made (10 year old & 6 year old)! Just as well they’re not invited to the birthday party! It was good to see her though, still living alone and looking after herself.
UtbB sorry you’ve had a falling out with some of your family. I hope it sorts itself out soon.
Night night everyone.
Usedtobeblonde hope you can find a way to get through this xx 🌹
A hug coming your way uttb. An upset you didn’t need.
Hope socialising has helped fgt. Lots of distraction needed now.
Rest well everyone.
uttb you’ve been an absolute rock for your family to cling to in their times of need. If you’ve had to speak your mind then so be it. You must have been at the end of your patience and weary of it all. Maybe being away for a few days gave you a better sense of perspective when you walked back into your home. Try to let as much of this as possible wash over you. I hope things come good in time. 🤞
uttb big hugs coming your way.
Hope you are a little merrier by now, fgt.
My jeans are Sienna too - that might but you off. Though I tend to wear jersey trousers mostly as they are really comfortable.
I’m so sorry about the bug GG13. How miserable.
FGT a d thank you for your kind thoughts, Yia.
At your suspicions about your dh’s gift, Kitty!
Glad the jeans were suitable, Brook. 👖
How upsetting, UTBB. I hope it can be resolved.
Today I oversaw the clearing of the contents of my mother’s house. I had imagined it wouldn’t take long to clear a one-bed house but I was there from 10 and until mid-afternoon. At least it’s done now and the cleaners can move in and make it look presentable for selling. I also visited my mother. She was half making sense and half not but at least she kept the less pleasant side of her hidden today.
I saw some adorable lambs on my way home, black with white legs and a white flash on their faces. The countryside is burgeoning with life, it’s so lovely.
TOYA. Xxx
FGT hope everything is fine for you Dh. Hugs. x
Sounds like the worm has turned, pardon the expression uttb you take care dear lady, we’re always here xx
Hello kitchen people
🌷UTBB.
🪻FGT2
I have had a usual Monday. It rained pretty well all day. I did a Waitrose shop and made three 2-serving shepherds pies with the leftover lamb from yesterday. I froze two and we ate the other one for dinner. The cats had the bone!
Sleep 💤 tight.
I didn’t realise Imogen had been unwell jaxJacky, hope she is on the mend now xx
Thank you Blossoming she’s stopped being sick, but still not eating, now my daughter has the same bug and I hugged her yesterday eek!
