soop has been in touch. She will not be on GN today, I think, as she is unwell. Please carry on your usual kind chatting. soop was saying yesterday what lovely people you all are.

Take care of yourself Grannmarie until you feel better. (soon I hope) 🌻

Grannmarie, hope you’re pain goes away quickly.

I'm so delighted for you both, FGT!🥰 What a weight off your shoulders. You'll sleep well tonight. 😴😴💕

Thank you, lovely ladies, for your kind wishes. I do feel much calmer now, Kitty, thank you, I was so afraid on Sunday and felt awful that the boys were back in A and E with me, so soon after losing their Dad.
I've ordered a grabber from Am***n, to avoid bending and stretching for things. The pain is worse when I move. My family, sisters, friends and neighbours have been so helpful, someone comes every day bringing food and to help me shower/ dress/ apply Voltarol. 🤣.
I'm very thankful.

TOYA, NNGB.

Just popped in to wish FGT and her DH all the best for today. I tried to send a PM but was told FGT is unable to accept PMs at the moment!!

Oh no! I don’t know why that must have happened? I’ll check tomorrow. My inbox was overflowing with such lovely and encouraging messages of support. I felt quite humbled (and still do - reading so many more mentions on here too) to know just how much you all CARE. A community that I’m blessed to be part of. Thank you all tonight, so very much. x

TillyTrotter Thu 24-Apr-25 21:30:26

Such good news FGT.
Grab it with both hands and keep grinning 💐

‘Evening All’.

Well we’ve had the BEST news today! The tumour is unbelievably still ‘sleeping’ after 10 months of no chemotherapy! “This happens sometimes!” … wow! And the oncologist said the secondaries in the lymph nodes have even shrunk a bit. How fantastic is that?

We are so incredibly lucky and grinned like Cheshire cats all the way home!

We don’t even need to go back to Christie’s for the next scan for 3 months! “Just tell us if anything changes. Keep on doing what you’re doing and don’t poke the bear!”

I’m enjoying my mug of Horlicks and counting our blessings. This is a gift indeed.

That said, my thoughts fly to anyone reading who is not so fortunate - with worries and anxiety. I know very well how you feel and how scary living with cancer is within a family. But Good Things can and DO happen, chemotherapy can work like magic and I wish the same joy for you in time. x

Out by the water Blossoming marvellous.
A grey day here with a glimpse of sun, I planted an acer and three hardy fuchsia, a drop of rain would be handy now.
Rescued a friend with £100, he’d messed up his cashpoint transaction, long chat with my daughter, Fin hasn’t settled at senior school. Imogen is upset, her paternal grandad has terminal cancel, they’re very close, tough times for both.
It’s hard watching our children and grandchildren taking the knocks of life and we can’t make it better.

Blossoming Thu 24-Apr-25 17:22:59

Sorry to hear your news SueD. Thinking of you FGT.

MrB took me for a ride in my wheelchair this afternoon. We’ve had lovely weather despite the gloomy forecast. He’s making a curry for tonight, I think we’ll both sleep well 😂

GrannyGravy13 Thu 24-Apr-25 17:00:21

Granmarie how scary for you (((hugs)))

SueD sorry to hear your news 🌸

Thinking of all our kitchen friends, please accept my apologies for not being up to date with your news. I catch up when I can from sunny Espana.

I have everything crossed for himself FGT2 😘🤞

LLFL I could helpful out with the bread and butter pudding …
I have just cleaned out the greenhouse and put manure on the bed in there, ready for the tomatoes and cucumbers. Now it needs a very good soak before I can plant. Everywhere is so dry again!
Just found 3 lily beetles 😡.
Love to you all x
