soop has been in touch. She will not be on GN today, I think, as she is unwell. Please carry on your usual kind chatting. soop was saying yesterday what lovely people you all are.
So sorry to hear your news Sue.
‘Evening All’.
My heart goes out to you both SueDonim tonight. Not what you wanted to hear for sure …but there’s HOPE still - with evidenced based chemo. 🤞 for more positive news in a few weeks. Take heart dear lady. All is NOT lost. You have everything to play for.
Our turn tomorrow afternoon.
It is a rollercoaster of emotions isn’t it?
Thank you to everyone for cheering those of us on who need it, from the sidelines. Living with cancer in the home is very stressful as we sit under the Sword of Damocles constantly.
So sorry to hear your difficult news SueD
So sorry, SueD.
Thought also withFgt for tomorrow.
Soop 💐
Sorry it wasn’t good news for you and your DH sueDonim. Thinking of you both.
Hugs from me SueD. Thinking of you both.🌻
A big hug Sue xx
Not the results you wanted SueD so sorry and thinking of you both 💐
Oh, SueD, that must be so disappointing for you. Sending gentle hugs.
I’m so sorry to hear this difficult news SueD. 🌹
My thoughts are with you both. I'm so very sorry.
💐
Not the best appointment. Dh’s disease has advanced. He’s going to have some chemo to try and slow it down for a while.
Xxx
I'm another who have fingers crossed for Suedonim and FGT and their DHs. Nannytopsy I hope the appointment went well today. Soop I wish you all my best.
Today I pottered about the house this morning and did a little gardening. This afternoon I worked in the school library for a couple of hours. The primary seven teacher wants to bring her class tomorrow afternoon and would like my help. I'm happy to do that.
I came home and had a lengthy chat with a couple of neighbours who are so lovely then I had a mini nap and now I'm watching The Guns of Navarone. I'm a big fan of the old fashioned epic film. I have a new book to start too. I really enjoy these quiet days with the sun streaming through the windows. Enjoy the rest of the day all
just popping in to send positive thoughts to SueD and FGT for their appointments.
And, of course, love to our hostess and her lovely DH.
Hoping Baggs is ok too.
Good luck tomorrow Topsy. and, hoping all those with the bug are better by now.
Not a lot going on here - not necessarily a bad thing.
Thinking of you SueD 🤞x
Just got back from a concert by Richard Thompson - what a skilled musician! We are seeing more live music since we moved to Suffolk than for years.
Best wishes to those waiting for results. Off to see the GP tomorrow about knees and hips.
Love to the soops
Good evening kitchen pals its been a gorgeous sunny day up here in Inverness
Sorry to hear about your family upset Uttb sending you a gentle hug, I hope it can be resolved soon
I’m just about packed thanks Jax, it’s taken a while as I couldn’t decide what to take. We’re meeting up with DS and his partner tomorrow then spending a couple of days in London doing the sights etc. and then onto Cambridge for the weekend
A beautiful picture of bluebells llfl, they always remind me of my mum who was on Bluebell ward when she died. It looked out over a beautiful bluebell wood.
Sorry to hear about your DD now being ill Jax, well done with all the running round and hope your Dil to be is better soon too
Sounds like you’ve been been busy and got lots done SueD, hoping for good results for you DH, and for yours too Fgt
Yes, it is, Jax! It’s always Wednesday which means that apart from when Xm*s and NY fall midweek, it never changes. Oh, apart from one time when we had a storm, the council canx collections but told no one and everyone’s recycling blew away down the streets!
I hear you, FGT.
It’s tomorrow for us. I’ve fallen into verbal diarrhoea as a displacement activity.
I hope brook is packed and ready for the off!
Hi, daughter now got D&V, Imogen eating again, Fin is his usual eat anything at anytime, we had him over for his tea. Soon to be daughter in law S has suspected kidney/gall stones, she’s been in pain a week, third GP visit, so ran food there too, my car needs an Uber/Deliveroo sign!
I’m just fingers crossed I don’t get anything, as it is I’ve got toothache, I’ve known this molar is a lost cause for a year or so 😕
Is it really bin day SueD or delayed a day from the BH🤣🤣
I’ve washed floors today, weeded, little b*****s a splash of rain and a glimpse of sun, up they come and outpace anything I’d like to show it’s face. Then bought a tyre online, I have a slow puncture, new tyre will be fitted tomorrow.
MrJ went to work, so he’s groaning when he stands and yawning, he works intermittently in a trade, so feels it.
Beautiful llfl.
Dealt with bedding for four beds, all now remade and smelling lovely. Local electrician came on his way home to sort out the failed landing light, have booked plumber for tomorrow to deal with leaking kitchen tap and have very expensive man coming to clean ovens, hob etc. Am exhausted by so much domestic goddessing!
Hello kitcheners. A bright sunny day today and fairly warm. I had a walk this morning, dropped a prescription off at the pharmacy at the end of my road, then walked to the post office and then home, possibly about a mile altogether. I used the rollator as I can go a bit quicker with it. Then I agreed to have my drive cleaned, it took them 4 and a half hours, it was horribly dirty, but looks new now.
This afternoon I visited my friend with dementia, she was very sleepy this afternoon.
I need to sort out the flower pots that were moved when they cleaned the driveway.
The bluebells look beautiful llfl, I have a few in my garden which came from my parents garden but they’re being swamped by weeds.
sueDonim that sounds like a very satisfying day!
Have a peaceful evening folks.
Night night.
Sounds like you’ve had a smashing day, LLFL!
Gorgeous bluebell woods. I miss the bluebells of my home county, Kent, we don’t have any big areas with them round here.
I hope you avoid the bug, Jax and your dd feels better soon.
I had my hair cut today and it feels great. I also ‘spring cleaned’ my cats, clipping their claws and brushing their moulting fur. They look very smart now. Laundered our duvet, too, and dried it outside.
My new phone is now active, with a new sim, though I’m a bit scared of it as it seems to be able to do so much with AI. I’m sure I’ll get used to it soon. My mum needs some new clothes so I’ve ordered those for her.
It’s bin night tonight, always a high point of the week! 😂😂 Take care, everyone. Xxxx
Hello kitchen people. I hope you’re all having the best day possible.
I managed to do everything I’d planned this morning. I bought my great-nephew a birthday present - something to do with dinosaurs. I took my charm bracelet to a local jeweller to have three new charms fitted. Finally I popped into three different charity shops and bought a selection of crockery to smash to pieces and transform into a mosaic on Saturday - more about that later!
After lunch OH and I drove over to the National Trust bluebell woods around 15 minutes away. It was beautiful.
