Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people.
I'm hoping and praying that Soop feels much better soon, all goes well for the FGTs tomorrow, and Grandmabatty's op is rescheduled ASAP. Thinking of all with worries, illness or sorrow, especially those in the quiet corner. 💕🙏
Neine, thank you, I am greatly comforted by ' say goodbye for now '.
I wrote ' Till we meet again ' on my card for the coffin wreath.💙
This morning's well attended Requiem Mass was a wonderful comfort, very personal and uplifting. All our carefully chosen hymns, readings, psalm and prayers were delivered lovingly by family, friends and parishioners. Our PP's sermon was very insightful and reassuring. ' Do not let your hearts be troubled...'
DS1 wrote and delivered his very touching eulogy to his Dad, with many memories of happy times, and quite a few laughs. I was so proud of our three sons, and all the family, who have worked so well together over the recent weeks to arrange a special send off for DH. They also involved DH's neices and nephews in the liturgy and in carrying the coffin.
I had a couple of wobbles, entering the church, then entering the crematorium, but I was surrounded by love and support so I managed to recover myself and participate in the prayers. DGD (13) read the prayers of intercession for her Papa, we're so proud of her, and all the family.
So, I'm counting my blessings, giving thanks for all the love and support we've received, IRL and from you lovely Kitchen people. I'm fondly remembering DH and our Seasons in the Sun.🎶🌞💕
