South East here. Had one crawling across my hand last night but it's run across the wrong hands if it thinks it's going to bring me money! I wonder where the idea originated?

Yuk, earwigs! When we lived in Lancashire, many years ago, the washing was always covered in them when brought in off the line, I used to dread it. Since we moved to Lincolnshire, 48 years ago, nary a one, thank goodness.

I saw one the other day, it was on my book I was reading!

I got the washing in and a ginormous spider was on a towel 😨

Where exactly in the original post did you see a misplaced apostrophe?

They are all where they should be!

Mum used to twirl it around her head to land on her hair for luck. That was in Hertfordshire

Live in Derbyshire and we have plenty of moneyspiders but not so many earwigs these says, can't say I miss them either!

I saw one this morning in my hair.

We see them in the south…. Twirl them round your head 3 times for good luck ! They must not land though !

Not so many Earwigs. I haven’t seen one for years.

I haven’t seen any recently (north of England), but maybe that’s because we have lots of cellar spiders (daddy long leg spiders) which eat other spiders. They were originally subtropical but have been spread by people around the world. We now look more kindly on the regular house spider
