Good morning from N. Bucks where at the moment it is dry but overcast.

GBatty , sorry to hear your sad news. flowers.

This morning I must sort out a cupboard that I know has a few things that can go to the dump as DH has an appointment to take some other stuff this afternoon.
I am going to a talk about medicinal plants with some other ladies from WI .This evening is Flower club where we are looking forward to a demo by a popular arranger.

Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way,

I'm so sorry Grandmabatty. Such a shock for you. 🙏💐🫂

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Tue 01-Apr-25 07:57:00

Oh Grandmabatty I’ve only just started to read the thread.
So sorry to hear of your mum’s death. I know you’d said she was hardly eating these past few weeks - just chocolate and water, but to get that phone call will still have been a shock I expect. Losing our mums just seems so final I think. Typical of your brother to have his phone switched off. You did right telling staff to call you instead of him last week.

Arthritis has settled in my left wrist and kept me awake for much of the night and can see that getting dressed will be a major achievement this morning. Am absolutely fed up!

Sympathy to Grandmabatty at this sad time and hope this promised lovely spring weather brings joy.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Tue 01-Apr-25 07:49:45

Good morning everybody from Málaga where it’s not quite so sunny. I’ve been told rain is on its way back from Thursday. Glad we’re going home tomorrow then! My stepfather says Manchester is set to be sunny this weekend. 😁

I’ve got LWW this afternoon in Arroyo. My friend from Bolton is here too so we will walk up together at 1pm. (Her husband had open heart surgery this time last year in Wythenshawe Sallyforth). I shall wear a dress but with a denim jacket.

I’ve made an appointment at the hair salon below for a wash and blow at noon - always a nice holiday treat. Himself will stay home as we have a new washing machine being delivered today. The present one leaked water on Saturday and I was swabbing the decks with a mop! Good job we have a tiled floor.

Busy day yesterday. Five mile walk, then Line Dancing in afternoon. Then home to tidy drive and weed Block Paving.

Could go on a walk today, but feel garden needs attention.

RosesandLilac Tue 01-Apr-25 07:40:33

Good morning from sunny south Glos, another beautiful day ahead!
We enjoyed a ramble across fields, up and down hills and through woods with ransom and bluebells slowly emerging, a very pleasant walk yesterday. It’s so good to be outside in sunshine.
Today I have the BT engineer sorting out our upgraded broadband first thing plus a grocery shop and the dog walker all between 8 and 9, it’ll be a bit chaotic! Then it’s housework, washing and a bit of gardening I think. Tiddler and I will walk a bit later when things calm down a tad.

Sending you hugs and my condolences Grandmabatty

Good morning everyone from a sunny but chilly mid Essex.
I slept well last night, so am a bit later this morning. A good day yesterday, I went for a walk in the morning, then vacuumed the stairs, landing and bedrooms. I had ,my annual medication review, and didn’t have to argue my case to continue some of my expensive medications. So I’m ok for the next year, which is good. I then walked to the pharmacy in the hopes of collecting some tablets that I’d run out of. They’ve been ordered so hoe to collect them this afternoon or tomorrow.
I need to get some flowers for a friend’s birthday today, then will drop them off to her, along with a card.
This afternoon I’ll visit my friend with dementia.
grandmabatty I’m so sorry to hear about your mum. My condolences to you and your family.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from Cambridgeshire.

Very sad news grandmabatty sending you my sincere condolences 💐

Enjoyed a lovely walk yesterday in the sunshine, a cloudless blue sky but goodness I was tired I am not used to hills living in a very flat part of the country. Today the plan is to catch up on a few household jobs and go out with DH on our e bikes before collecting the little ones from school. They both have horrible colds at the moment!

It is Book Club/Wine Club tonight which is really just a neighbours catch-up in the local pub.

Hope everyone has the best day possible

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny South Yorkshire. I managed to get quite a lot done yesterday, including in the garden, but I moved a bag of compost and have strained my shoulder, so we’ll have to see how today goes. GS asked if he could come for an overnight today, and help me in the garden, but he has some coursework revision to do so he’s postponed it until next week. I hope we don’t lose the weather. I may drive out somewhere this afternoon and go for a walk.
Grandmabatty my condolences to you and your family💐.
Have the best day you can folks.

Morning Mick, morning All. A bright, sunny start to Tuesday.

A medical morning today. Mr C has an early covid jab, mine is re-booked a couple of weeks ahead when I should feel better, this throat-thing shows no sign of leaving me. Other than a call from the hospital O.T. nothing else on the agenda.

I’m so sorry grandmabatty, sending my condolences and love.

Hope you get positive news of your granddaughter sar.

Thinking of everyone facing challenges. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Pantglas2 Tue 01-Apr-25 07:17:13

Oooh that was a good one…lightning and thunder a second apart here in St Paul’s Bay⛈️ on our last full day on this delightful island!

We’ve had the most amazing time Bellasnana and will definitely be back as there are so many places/sites we didn’t get to and that’s with a trip booked most days! Mr PG only had 3 mornings on the sunbeds as I insisted we’d come to sightsee not sleep😂

And now for the saddest news from Grandmabatty 💐. I was so pleased that you’d found a lovely home for your mum and I’m sure that thought will sustain you over the coming tough times without her x

Be kind to yourselves everyone 🥰

Sar53 Tue 01-Apr-25 07:08:13

DD1 will be here for coffee after school drop off with Millie who will be staying with me for a while today, no particular reason apart from I love having her here. I am so looking forward to having a dog padding around the place.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
A couple from Australia arrived to help me in the house and garden for a few weeks. They claimed responsibility for the gorgeous weather, although secretly they had hoped to see snow. 😅

I had my post op checkup yesterday - a phone call, which went well.

I took my new visitors on a long walk to show them our local estate and stately home. I am still a slow walker but intend to get back to regular walks.

Birthday presents to buy for the DGC .and podiatrist.

Have a good day everyone with not too many tricks!
