Exactly this
I won't be told to butt out of a thread by other posters. It's extremely rude.
If GNHQ wish to do so that is different.

Harry’s over for a Court case but not to see his Papa. 🤔
(677 Posts)Charles & Camilla flew out to Rome on a planned visit so they missed one another by mere hours. Harry obviously didn’t want to spend any time with them. He will have known of their itinerary. There are so few occasions when he does fly over now from Montecito. An opportunity lost, especially with his father’s health I think.
A sad family rift going back a long time and a very complicated history. People will always speculate but the benign thing is to understand not blame and hope for the best.
Perhaps he couldn’t fly in a few days earlier, possibly he was booked to appear on Netflix when his wife is making another speech

Norah, it is published online.
Perhaps they will meet after the King and Queen return and before Harry flies home again.
Do you believe he reads his father's diary online? No logic when distancing - reading the diary of someone you're holding at a distance. Perhaps I'm wrong, he actually reads their diary.
Planes fly 2 directions, perhaps the King will fly to California.

I feel very sorry for Charles because, as far as I or anyone can tell, he loves his sons and tried his best with Harry. It's desperately sad if parents who are getting on in years and not in the best of health are estranged from an adult child and kept away from grandchildren with whom they will want a loving relationship.
It baffles me why it's always Harry Bad, Megan Bad. They've had the courage to step away from the bloodsucking, money-sucking institution that is the royal family - well done to them. I'd have tea with them any day, but I'd rather spit in William, Kate, Charles and Camilla's tea than have to breathe the same air as them.
Spit in someone’s tea , how vulgar

Well aren't you lovely! What have any of them done to you. Harry stepped away from the duties of the RF but seems to still want the protection and advantages of the family connections.
Well, as an ordinary member of the public, I’ve known for a while that Charles was off to Italy now. It’s probably coincidence that Harry’s court case and this clashed. Whether they would have met up otherwise, we don’t know.
I hope he doesn’t get his security paid for. If he was a ‘working royal’ yes. I’m sure if he is here for anything special, i.e. a family funeral or similar, he qualifies as much as anyone else.
As an aside, some lovely pictures of the King and Queen in Italy to mark their 20th wedding anniversary.
I hope they celebrate many more.
5th March 2021 Prince Phillip recovering from surgery, 16th March left hospital very ill, died 9th April 2021.
7th March 2021, Queen Elizabeth had to experience the Oprah

I do hope you're not a chef or a waiter BobbieGee.

Yes. It's not possible to change such dates that require planning and involve so many other people.
I do hope they will take the chance to meet up before it's too late.
It is possible to fly into the country a few days earlier
This is a dysfunctional family - there are faults on both sides and faults going back generations - it is very sad for all of them.
It is not helped by piling in to take sides. It just fuels the flames. In all honesty why would any decent kind person want to do that?
Let us leave them in peace to try and sort this out. In truth we none of us know what has gone on behind the scenes so are not in a position to judge.
The sight of his smug face going into Court made my blood boil. Talk about over-privilege.
We don’t see him as part of the British Royal family - him and his wife have said extremely unpleasant things about our Royal family and we certainly don’t want to pay for him to be safe when he comes here - stay away
He wants the public to engage in discussions about him, why
else all the tv interviews?
If he wants security why can't he just pay for it? Why should the taxpayer cough up?

Since the royal family only costs each person in the UK £1.29 a year I don’t see what justification you have to call them blood sucking or money sucking. You can be a Republican without stooping to insults you know.
It's maybe to do that he is more of a target, as was mentioned up thread, because of his military experience.
The old chestnut of Harry's parentage rearing it's ugly head again.
As has been pointed out a gazillion times, the timeline for Diana's liaison with Hewitt is way out of line and really, if there was any question, any doubt at all, do you not think DNA would have come into play?
At Diana's funeral coverage (BBC) one of the commentators mistakenly identified one of her nephews as Harry. There's a lot of red hair in the Spencer family.
But having said that, maybe William is really the son of a man with blonder hair

Do all ex-Forcespersonnel have security?
Others are quite high-profile too.
Many are actually employed as security advisers and bodyguards.
The security services would be aware of any specific threats and surely would act accordingly.
There's a lot of red hair in the Spencer family.
Yes, there is - Diana had two red-headed siblings to name just two.
There is a lot of negativity on the Times website. This for eg..
He just can't let anything go, can he? This is his last fight to still be treated like a royal in the UK. And for his wife to be treated in the same way as the Princess of Wales.
Unfortunately for him, we are no longer required to indulge his neuroses. He renounced his royal duties, left the UK, defamed his family and lives a life of polo-playing leisure.
Meanwhile here in the UK, we're all having a fairly tough time and we don't have any spare cash to help him feel important.
Agree with luckygirl No one knows the reasons, if there are any, why the family is estranged but nevertheless feel able to put their views on a public forum.
There is a long and supportive estrangement thread on here so it’s not unknown and the royal family are no different to anyone else, other than they live an extremely comfortable, but public lifestyle.
I don’t follow what’s going on in their lives but remember recently when Harry flew over to the uk that his father took a plane elsewhere, Scotland maybe? so they never met. He knew his son was coming over, but he ‘didn’t have time’ to meet him.
Let’s not judge what we don’t know about.
Are we judging?
Or hoping there will be a rapprochement?
