Good morning from a bright W Kent. Off to collect my new glasses this morning and hopefully a Quick Look round the shops.
Hope all the appointments and meetings go smoothly

Good morning from another bright and sunny Black Country.

A great walk yesterday with the walking group. At least 20 of us and a couple of new people joined us.

DGD4 landed in Canada yesterday. Evening here, lunchtime there. I hope she has a great time ski-ing.

I am off to Bewdley with my friend today. Coffee by the river. A river walk, then lunch by the river and maybe a mooch in the shops.

Thinking of FGT's today with fingers firmly crossed.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where Alexa tells me it’s 2°C with fog (I can’t see any) but 20°C later. It’s scan day and my kind brother in law is picking us up at 4pm.

Redcar Fri 11-Apr-25 07:19:40

I hope that fgts DH’s scan goes well later today.

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s sunny this morning but the heating came on so I guess it’s chilly out.
Yesterday I had my usual walk, had a brief chat to some friends, then worked my way through my ‘to do’ list.
I’m more or less ready to go to Center Parks, and hoping that we’re able to head off as planned. DD1 was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday and so was DD2’s other half. He was still well enough to go to watch Spurs yesterday evening, so obviously not too unwell! The granddaughters are all very excited. gg it is Elvenden Forest, so not too far away. I haven’t been there for 6 years, when the 7 year old had her first birthday there, and littlest wasn’t even thought of! She’s 2 now so I wonder what she’ll make of it all!

ash I’m pleased that your DH has arrived safely, and it’s good that your health has improved.
sallyforth I hope you have a good journey tomorrow and are able to relax with your friends.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning all from a chilly but bright North Leicestershire.

Today, I have to go to the butchers and Waitrose to stock up before DD2 and daughters arrive for a few days. I also have a back massage booked and a dental checkup.

Have the best day possible, everyone.

Good morning from south Glos, I’m looking forward to another sunny day today!
I was very tired by the end of yesterday, I walked over 17,000 steps and my legs were aching quite badly.
I did three separate dog walks, the third one being unplanned after my friend asked if I’d like to go and see the bluebell woods in the next village- they are spectacular! I decided to change my plans and just go - a haze of beautiful blue across a hillside woodland as far as you can see.
Big dog enjoyed chasing around with the younger dog so she was well exercised by the time we got back!
I did spend the rest of the afternoon sitting in the sun, making the most of it before next week which isn’t looking too good weather-wise.
Today I have an art group this morning then I intend to make the most of the sunshine again.
Have a lovely day if you can 🌹

Morning all from a chilly West Oxfordshire.

I hope the FGT2S have a reassuring day. I know how nerve-racking these appointments can be.

Such good news from niece number three yesterday. She finally had her daughter two weeks late. She sent some beautiful photos.

I think OH and I are doing mainly honey/based things today. All has to be prepared for the car boot sale on Sunday. I can’t help tomorrow as I’m meeting younger son in London.

Have a good day everyone, whatever the weather and circumstances.

Good morning from a bright, sunny but chilly Torbay.

DH arrived safely yesterday and I was glad I could be on the platform at the local station (Torre) to meet him. He is pleased to see how much my health has improved in the few weeks he’s been in France.

Happy weekend, everyone, whatever your plans! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good Morning from Durham. It’s going to be warm, but cloudy today. The roofers had to leave early yesterday, but the job will be finished today - it looks good, but never again!
A crew of arborists arrived and swarmed up the huge, ugly, dirty sycamore in a garden behind me. Hopes were raised that drastic action was being taken, but 4 hours later, it looks exactly the same, with just a few twigs in the canopy removed. It casts such a huge shadow over our gardens, but not the owner’s.
I’m meeting a friend for coffee this morning - 2 days under house arrest with the roofers is enough and they can manage without me.

I’m sending hugs too those who have difficult days ahead for whatever reason.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning Mick and all from another lovely morning in Cheshire. The wind was bitter most of yesterday, then late on the temperature was very much like a mellow summer.'s day. Had to water the garden as beds and pots were so dry.

Acupuncture today and hope to be calm enough for a flight tomorrow. As my sister's funeral will not be for a while, decided to go ahead with plans to spend Easter with friends in Spain.

Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. Take care everyone, whatever your day brings. Special thoughts for those sick or caring for the sick and those with worries.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is just rising in South Yorkshire, and it’s going to be warm again. Had a lovely walk yesterday morning but the afternoon did not work out quite as I had planned. It’s too long a story to relate. GS is here, having stayed overnight. I am going to the gym early and when I get back we’ll have a cooked breakfast and get stuck into the gardening jobs we didn’t get done yesterday🙄. I took him out to dinner last night and he’s not a cheap date! I want to get my moneysworth out of him😁! We’ll see how the day unfolds.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from Malta where we are promised a sunny day with a high of 23°C.

It feels strange to be still lounging in bed when I’m normally making the boys’ breakfast at this time, but I must say it’s nice not to have to get up quite as early.

They are off to Sicily on the catamaran today until Monday.

I’m planning on watching tennis from Monte Carlo, plus doing some decluttering of the spare room which is where I put things to deal with ‘later’. Say no more.🤦🏼‍♀️

Hair do this afternoon. I had thought about cutting it short but chickened out when I remembered how high maintenance it was the last time I chopped it all off, so I’m sticking with ‘better the devil I know’ for now.

Hoping you all have a good day.☀️

Morning Mick, morning All. A sunny day forecast, mornings are definitely chilly in our corner of Somerset.

Volunteering this morning, some lunch and a brief supermarket trip. I really must iron after ignoring it call my name yesterday

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from foggy s somerset, lovely sunshine later

Spring cleaning yesterday morning and I have finished most of downstairs, I only have tweaks left to do, maybe an hour max. It looks and feels so much fresher. The ambience changed as soon as I re-positioned my kitchen dining table, the cloth I made for it looks lovely, fresh and pale primrose yellow with white leaves

I did finish as usual by lunchtime and spent the whole afternoon spinning or reading outside, it was beautiful. I made sure to get the washing done, outside drying may not be so easy in a few days time

I will finish downstairs this morning and clean all my front and side windows outside, while the sun is off them. The back windows this afternoon when the sun has moved.

Some squash seeds to be sown at home later, these squashes keep for 9 months in my garage.

Next full moon is in two days and don`t I know it, poor sleep for me last night

Have a good day

Good morning from South Lanarkshire.

Stilllearning and I had a three hour long blether yesterday, the time flew by. I then had a quick run around the shops before my bus home. A good day.

Childminding today, I’m taking card making bits and pieces for the children as it’s their Mum’s birthday tomorrow. Hopefully that will keep them engaged for a while.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

grandMattie Fri 11-Apr-25 05:30:13

Good morning from adawning, dry but cold Bristol.
Mick, I too have a new SIM card for my phone as SiL has renegotiated my contract. It is causing all sorts of problems and I have been on the phone from EE for ages several days in a row. Fortunately, the young man is very helpful although he could be talking Eskimo at times!
Quiet day yesterday, with an hour or so in the sun in the afternoon. The cold, cold wind is still with us though.
Today, unusually, I’m going out with DD. I can’t remember the last time this happened as she is so busy. Garden centre -might get some bedding plants.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in brackley plus a chill in the air .
Today , usual routine bus trip to Bicester , have a good reason as I need a new Sim Card for my mobile , did not realise that my current one had time expired ,so it will be a new number etc , otherwise usual shop and chat to those I know.
Health OK,
Take Care,
