Good morning everyone from an overcast Wiltshire.

We visited DD2 and family and gave DGS2 his presents. He has his birthday party with his friends this afternoon (not at home) and family one next weekend when it is his actual 4th birthday. He and his sister were playing in their large paddling pool 🥶 while their dad was putting Perspex on their newly built pergola. I’m glad we don’t live next door as they are the loudest children in the world! Certainly in comparison to their various sets of cousins.

BlueSapphire I’m so glad you had a birthday celebration with your family before cruise day today. Looking forward to seeing you in due course. Your cake looked fab. I’ve noticed my cruise clothes are a bit tighter as every winter I put on some weight and lose it again over the summer months naturally. I’ve never been on a cruise at this time of year.😂

I hope your DH had a much better day yesterday Gingster. Hope all those under the weather feel better soon. Have an enjoyable Sunday all.

A very quick morning to everyone from West Oxfordshire. We are setting off to a Car Boot Sale shortly to try and sell lots of honey!

Good morning from Shropshire. The last of the warm days today.

The children enjoyed the fun day yesterday.Blossom won second place in best rescue dog class which was exciting.

Nothing planned today so will probably get a couple of things ticked off my to do list then read/sleep the afternoon away.

Lovely flowers grandMattie.

I hope yesterday was a better day for Gingster and her DH🙏🏻

Have a good day everyone🌻🦩

Sorry, it was supposed to be “morning” but I didn’t check! 🤣😂🤣😂

Good morning from Malta where we expect a high of 22°C later.

grandMattie are you trying to tell us something? I do have ironing awaiting my attention! 😄. By the way, your garden looks great. I can’t wait to get some colour in my outdoor area. No garden any more, but lots of pots to fill. I think it’s too early here as we tend to get a lot of wind in May.

I’m not going to Mass because it clashes with the tennis final in Monte Carlo. I trust the Lord will forgive me.

I also won’t be having my usual chat with my Leicester pal as she has two of her grandchildren staying for a week so will be busy with them.

I will walk over to DD3’s later (as I did yesterday) to check on the canary! It’s good exercise and only a twenty minute walk.

Wishing you all a good day. Even on the worst days there’s always something to be thankful for.☀️

Good morning from s somerset, I am hoping for a few spots of rain later

Yesterday I was busy, 5 strenuous hours on my allotment, giving the slug nematodes tlc, they like damp soil. I managed it within the time constraint and I am now rain dancing. They need damp for 4 weeks

I stumbled upon the dinner lady on youtube, very therapeutic to watch. She made jam roly poly with real custard. Watching was as good as eating it

Indoors and rest for me today, I am going to be sitting at my dining table, tearing patterns out of classy knitting magazines, making bookshelf space and only keeping the patterns I want. Radio on, archers later

Madeleine, I did enjoy reading about your day out, I felt as though I was there too. You have a gift for writing, never boring

I have to do a bit in the kitchen shortly, I sterilised small jars and lids last night. An experiment, I have fermented a shop bought liquid probiotic, it only contains one strain. Fermented for 36 hours to increase count by billions and they will eat the sugar in the 5 little bottles plus the added pre-biotic and milk/cream mix. I am going to freeze several small portions for starters for following batches. I made a litre, it will look like a white thick yoghurt. Following batches will only be starter, pre-biotic and an organic creamy milk mix

Once a scientist, always a scientist

Have a good day

Good. Ironing from a dawning Bristol. Another fine day in store, though that cold northerly means one has to keep sheltered to benefit from the increasing warmth.
Mick, don’t go to the EE/BT shop for your phone. I did that and they made a complete Horlicks of it. Find an EE helpline number and call them.
Ash your progress is great, MD, hope things are “less worse”, Maw, trust things are improving for you, widowhood like old age is not for sissies.
Coffee in church yesterday was interesting as there was a larger number of men than women. Lots of people either had had or were going for their spring COVID jabs.
In the afternoon, I dug the edges and spent my time weeding and tidying up. I then put in my plants, mostly low shrubs and perennials. It’s looking good.my tulips are still lovely.
Not much today; church and a bit of sun.

Good morning from a dark but peaceful Torbay.

Thank you all so much for the words of encouragement yesterday regarding my walking. I was really touched by your kind support. We enjoyed the coffee morning at church where we won a bottle of Cava in the raffle.

Yesterday, I had my Covid (Moderna) booster at our surgery which was well organised. I’ve awoken with a headache but paracetamol has seen that off. I was encouraged to have it as I’m regarded as vulnerable following the hospital stay for sodium deficiency last month, plus I’ll be 75 next month.

Today, we hope to venture to Lidl. I shan’t attend church as it involves walking and singing outside to celebrate Palm Sunday and I’m not sure I have the stamina to cope with that!

I was pleased to see RosieandherMaw on here yesterday with interesting plans to visit Amsterdam.
I hope the Gingsters find some peace in their garden and all who are unwell have a better day.
