Good morning everyone from a sunny but cold mid Essex.
I had a session with a physiotherapist yesterday morning, which was helpful.
After that DD1 and family called in to leave the dog with me while they went to a nearby outlet village to do some shopping.
They collected the dog later in the afternoon as both granddaughters had gymnastics lessons at 4 o’clock.

This morning I’m keeping the dog company again while they go off to London to visit museums! I can’t stay all day as I have a hair appointment early this afternoon.

I hope you all have the best day possible and that those with medical issues feel a bit better today.

Good morning from s somerset, cool bright and cloudy today

Yesterday I had not planned to go to my allotment but did actually spend a few hours there after my walk. Highlight was meeting an 80 year-old gentleman and his wife, both looking so well. Lovely people

I planted three globe artichokes and 16 leeks and covered the leek bed with mesh on hoops, until they settle down. It is always ongoing with perennial weeds there, they spring from tiny sections of old roots, more weeds every time I go

Obviously working there gave me my usual vibe back, I did not at all like how I was after doing nothing all day, the day before yesterday

Today I start by putting my new creamy ferment into small jars, then really I don`t know but yesterday set me up for whatever, maybe even to carry on with spring cleaning upstairs

Have a good day

Good morning all from sunny Lancashire, There are a few clouds streaking across the sky but the forecast is for sunshine.

We had a quiet day yesterday, the highlight was a visit from the District Nurse to check on my skin. She advised me to carry on with what I’m doing and arranged to call at 2 weekly intervals.

Today’s big news is that MrB is planning to take me out to Lytham today, as long as I feel up to it. So I will have a quick shower, a cup of tea and a banana for breakfast. Clean t-shirt and leggings and I’ll be ready to roll, fingers crossed 😊

Happy Thursday 🌹

Good morning all. Hopefully a drier, milder day today in Glasgow. Yesterday’s weather of bitterly cold with constant rain was such a contrast to last weeks glorious sunny, warm days.

A few things to tick off my to do list including a call to BT which I fear will take forever, learned from last experience.
Hairdressers late afternoon and that about sums up my plans for today.

Very good news Jax. A huge relief for you.
I read with envy all that you did yesterday Bluesapphire. Enjoy your outing today.
Poor lady Bellasnana. It was good of you and your friend to take care of her. How awful to be so vulnerable at her age.

Best wishes to all for a good day and hints of improvement for those with difficult times in their lives.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and damp. Showers are forecast for much of the day. Bellasnana I would be worrying too! That was kind of you and your friend. Rosesandlilac I much prefer pastels to acrylics, however I've never got to grips with watercolour!
Yesterday was a very quiet day. I needed to recharge my batteries. I did a couple of washes and sent off mum's death certificate electronically to a couple of places. In the afternoon, a carbon monoxide alarm began to beep in the kitchen. It is intermittent and very annoying, however it hasn't had a battery change in seven years. My Dsil will remove the old one and replace it with the new, eventually. The cataracts make it difficult for me to see it.
Today I'm having the boys. I don't think we will be at the park, maybe soft play. They had a very busy day yesterday, so might want to chill. She says hopefully. Gammon for dinner tonight. Have a good day all

Good morning Mick and everyone from Andalucia. Just coming light here. The weather yesterday was very changeable with strong wind at times. I believe some of the Easter Semana Santa processions have been cancelled, which is sad for those who prepare all year and the tourists who hope to see them of course.

My friends treated me to dinner in a restaurant which was lovely. Unfortunately I was embarrassed that I could eat very little. I think it was that my tinnitus was bad and the music and chatter was very loud. Oh dear, but they were very sweet about it. Nothing planned today, but my friends are on holiday now so we will see how the day unfolds.

I hope everyone has a good day whatever you have planned. Take care everyone, especially those feeling unwell or caring for others who are. flowers

Good morning from a calm, dry Torbay.

It sounds like you had the storms yesterday that we'd had late on Tuesday, grandMattie. A fine, sunny day followed which perhaps will reach you today.

Wednesday Club was well attended for a well presented PowerPoint illustrated talk from a couple who appeared on Pointless recently and won nearly £5k! They took us through the whole process from applying to appearing.

Happy news for you, Jaxjacky! A relief, I’m sure.

A good day is wished to all with calm seas for our cruisers! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from Malta where it is still very overcast but this is due to clear later so we might see the sun. High of 20°C forecast and very windy.

Yesterday I took Twin 1 to nursery as his brother wasn’t well. He went off quite happily on his own.

I then met my friend for a coffee and chat after which we decided to walk to buy bread, milk etc. On the way we came upon a small, elderly lady who seemed to need a bit of help crossing the road. We asked if she was ok and she told us she was lost.

I sat on a bench with her while my friend went to fetch her car (which took ages so I had quite a chat with the lady). She knew her address so we delivered her to her home and she gave us a big bag of lemons from her tree.

I’m worrying about her now. She lives alone and was so trusting, obviously we had no bad intentions towards her but others might.

I’ve woken with a headache which I’m sure is due to this muggy weather, so I have no plans other than to watch Alcaraz play at 4pm.

Hoping you all have a good day.☀️

Good morning everyone from a still dark morning, approaching Gibraltar. My excursion is not till this afternoon, so no rush to get up for breakfast.

Another sunny day at sea yesterday, and much calmer waters (which will make Glammagran happy!). I had my final spa treatment, massage and exfoliation which took up most of the morning; went to the seafood restaurant for lunch, then sat and read in the afternoon. Did the quiz and got 15 out of 20, then listened to a pleasant piano quartet recital.

Went to the singles cocktail hour and then went to dinner with three other ladies, followed by drinks at the bar. Didn't fancy the entertainment on offer, so had an early night.

My excursion this afternoon is a tour of a gin distillery - the same as I did last year! I enjoyed it so much then so thought I would repeat the excursion!

Have a pleasant day everyone.

Morning, clear skies and 3 in S Hants, the wind yesterday was cool, we had a brief shower of hail too.
My ultrasound scan showed not an inguinal hernia but internal scarring/adhesion from an appendectomy many years ago, a great result.
Off out with a friend today for coffee and a look round a dress agency with preloved items.
Good your phone is sorted Mick
May those struggling have a better day.

Good morning, it’s dry and chilly here in south Glos, yesterday wasn’t too bad despite a bitterly cold wind.
We had a coffee at the village cafe then walked the dogs along the lane and back up the bridleway and fields. It’s very exposed across the last field and the wind was so cold! Tiddler wore her fleece coat, she doesn’t mind the weather one bit.
I started a painting, using acrylics which I haven’t used for several years so I’m not sure how it’ll turn out. I’ll do more today.
Nothing much else planned today, let’s see how it goes 🌹

grandMattie Thu 17-Apr-25 05:34:24

Good morning from a dry Bristol.
Yesterday’s weather was horrible with the strong, cold wind and showers thrown in for good measure. I suspect that was the reason the FAB cafe was so badly attended. Only five came, one of whom had an appointment with the vicar and waited with a cuppa!
I was still very tired and did very little after the morning efforts.
I did, however, call the optician to find out whether my new glasses were ready. Ogres, I was told, ages ago! Why on earth they didn’t let me know is beyond me.
Today, I have shopping to do in town . My trainers have fallen apart, etc…. I need to go into the bank too.
I shan’t go to any of the Maundy Thursday services, but shall go to church tomorrow.
I hope your day goes well with contentment thrown in. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
