Lunch today is at our younger daughter and son in law’s - a roast lab dinner. I’m so glad I passed that baton over years ago. We will pick my stepfather up. He’s looking forward to seeing them all.

I have an Easter egg which I’m sure I will break into this evening!

Clearly a dog is not just for Christmas but by judicious use of the freezer , can last up to Easter! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It is a shock, isn't it, when you think back at how much you have done, where you have been - and of those beautiful middle-aged people our lovely babies have become 😉😁. I didn’t go to the vigil last night, I don’t like walking home in the dark now so off shortly to mass and then straight on to DD4’s for lunch and a’sleepover’! Farming daughter busy lambing and two others abroad so we shall be four. I had offered to cook then changed my mind and booked lunch at a good local restaurant, as FGT would say #lazygran😂

I hope everyone enjoys their day whatever they are doing and of course special thoughts to those needing them🙏🏻x

Good morning all and happy Easter. We are promised much better weather today in Glasgow. No rain and not such a chilly wind.

I am looking forward to DD1 and the girls arriving later for our
annual Easter egg hunt followed by an egg and spoon race around the flowering cherry tree. I asked them earlier this year as they will be 16 and 20, if they were interested in having this annual event. Both were shocked that I would even think to ask such a question it was something they both enjoy…….hard boiled eggs will be ready to decorate upon their arrival. An early dinner is planned after the fun around 5.00pm….fish suppers have been requested. No roast lamb full on meal works for me after years of toiling in the kitchen.

Good morning and Happy Easter from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Fun time in the city last night with two soprano friends, a good meal and lively company. We met early so not too late a night. As I hardly ever drink alcohol now, I’m feeling the effects, although I didn’t have much.
I’m going to have to find some going out shoes which are more comfortable. The kitten heels I wore, though not high, proved painful at the end of the night.

As often happens after alcohol and kitten heels, I’ve had terrible cramp all night, up and down, rubbing muscle spray on my legs and feet.

Good morning from a cool and overcast NE, yet again.
Yesterday was another day of doing very little, vaccination arm still stiff and sore.
I did run the vacuum around downstairs but it stopped working suddenly in the lounge. Thought the bag might be full, it wasn't, I detached the hose and found a chocolate had been sucked in completely blocking the inlet 🤔
DD and SIL are visiting this afternoon and we will have coffee and cake and then make dinner together.
DS and family are on holiday in Downton, DIL'S parents live in the village where it was filmed. I hope they are a having better weather than the north is.

Good morning all and it’s a bit lack lustre type of weather here in Essex.

Yesterday ds1 and I got a lot done in the garden (mainly him).
We bought plants for pots and I treated him to a white Rhododendron for the Japanese area in his beautiful garden.

Dh sat on a stool and watched us for a while in the sunshine.
DS worked like a trouper as usual (a whirling dervish) , so strong and fit - I plodded around behind him, like an old cart horse. 🥵. He does tend to break things though, this time the yard broom. 😬.

He’s coming back this morning with DIL, to fix the toilet seat which is hanging off. He’ll probably snap it and have to buy a new one 😂. What would we do without him ❤️.

Good Morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle. Blue skies and white fluffy clouds at the moment, but cool with it.

Yesterday, I popped out very early for a few necessities i.e the papers and more english asparagus which I am pigging out on at the moment. I'd planned to go to the nearby village for a change but found the road blocked by the current bypass works. As the detour meant going through town and passing Sainsbury's, I gave up and went into their store instead.
Back for a long phone chat with my sister and then spent most of the day reading and finishing off another book. It wasn't a day to tempt me outside, the wind was really cold.

Today, I'll be out for a short walk and then a bit of pootling about in the garden. Plus, there's admin and research to do on the computer.

A very happy birthday to you BlueSapphire and many more of them. Enjoy your cruise....I'd like to see the Grand Harbour of Valletta sometime.

DS and family are coming for lunch and the DGC have requested trifle for pudding so that is my first task of the day. DH will deal with the main course.
